Paintings

When you are struggling to see where paintings are on the walls look for the wall sconce light that illuminates the floor in front of them instead of the paintings themselves.

Halfbrick Characters

The Halfbrick characters that you encounter on the map do nothing, they are there just to make the game look more interesting.

Zoom

You can zoom in or out on levels by pinching the screen with two fingers. Although this is useful when trying to navigate busy maps you must be careful that you do not accidentally move Rory.

Recharge Status

To see your recharge status you have to enter a level and look at the 'Entry Fee' box. This tells you the amount of paws it will cost you to play the level and how many paws you currently have. The leftmost empty box indicates your current charge as it fills up with light grey.

Coins

Keep an eye out for coins that appear every so often amongst the scenery on the 'Stage Select' and 'World Map' screens as these can be tapped for five coins a piece. It is worth collecting these coins as it is an easy way of gaining an extra 250+ coins.

Energy Timer

When your energy timer runs out of jolts you will either have to buy more or wait for them to recharge before you can play again. Energy is measured in 'paws' per level and paws recharge at a rate of 1 every 10 minutes.

Goals and Restrictions

Make sure that before you press 'Play' to enter a level you have studied it's goals and restrictions so you can make plans accordingly.

Square Floor Tiles

A good strategy is to use the square floor tiles to help track where a diagonal move will take you.

Laser Beams

Lasers switch between on and off every move and leave a black scorch mark on the walls, use these marks to note where the laser will hit the next time it is on.

Zero Paws

When you have no paws left the countdown timer will indicate how long you will have to wait until you receive your next paw refill.

Walls

Whenever Rory hits a wall he will leave a collision mark behind in the form of a crack, keep an eye out for these marks and use them as a reminder of what direction you came from or have already been to.

Diagonals

In the early stages of the game you will mainly be working with straight lines and corners but as the stages become more complex you will only be able to reach certain items by following a set of diagonals, an example of this is a painting in the middle of a wall.

Fruit Ninja Painting-Swipe Mode

Time is not a factor when you are in Fruit Ninja painting-swipe mode so there is no need to rush. Take your time and think about your next move, even if you are unable to see it behind the painting.
