Forceps

When using the forceps to extract sharpened objects from a wound you need to be very precise otherwise you could cause further injury to the patient. The best way of pulling out the object is to pull it out sharply and exactly the opposite direction it lies in. You must never pull to the sides.

Chainswaw

When using the chainsaw you need to be very slow, deliberate and methodical. Use the chainsaw whenever you see a yellow outline around an object by first moving your finger in a continuous but slow direction around the object in question and then carefully removing the part you have cut away using the forceps.

Critters

To kill the small creatures that are found in the nastier wounds you need to first zap them a few times with the car battery before extracting them with the forceps and delicately placing them in the tray. To deal with the larger creatures you first need to shock them to keep them in place then hold the chainsaw down on them without moving your finger. Keep repeating this process when the shock wears off until you are able to scoop the creature out with the forceps.

Stars

New chapter are unlocked by having a certain amount of stars, the best way of obtaining these is to play the first two stages and unlock every star on offer. The fewer mistakes you make on each attempt and the quicker you complete the operation the more stars and higher the score you will get. Bonus stars are earned by selecting an operationand then tapping on one of the Bonus tabs and playing a special challenge version of the operation. Don't resort to using the operation partners as you will need them later in the game when the stages get more difficult.

Observe

Keep a close eye on the time left on the clock and the patients heartbeat. Keep the heartbeat ticking over by using the hypodermic needle to inject a little extra life. Make sure you push the plunger down on the hypodermic needle very slowly.

Needles

If your patient has hissing poison switch to the red needle and extract it by pointing the needle over the green patch and then pulling the plunger back to remove some of the poison. Keep repeating the process until every last drop has gone. Unlike the adrenaline needle the plunger on the red needle can be moved as fast as you like without damaging the patient. It can also be used to keep your combos flowing.

Combo Score Multipliers

These are earned when you successfully complete sections of the operation one after another without making a mistake and there is little delay between each stage.

Artery Clamp

The following two steps must be performed when making use of the artery clamp. First you need to immediately double-tap any areas that have spurting blood then secondly you need to turn the wheel on the clamp using your fingers until the blood has stopped spraying completely. It is at this point a good idea to check the patients heartbeat as they may need a shot of adrenaline before you proceeed with the less pressing parts of the operation.
