Activating the Mines will earn you a 1.05 point modifier.
In one of those instances where you have to wonder what they were thinking, it seems that the rooftop location for the annual retreat and company party upon which Agent 47 is looking down happens to have, scattered here and there, a number of highly explosive mines. Really!
The purpose for this Challenge is to turn on (but not detonate) each of these mines. Bearing in mind (that was a bad pun) that you could use them strategically as a means for taking out guards if you wanted to, since once they are armed, a second shot will detonate them – just saying – this is a case of one-shot will do nicely, Thank You very much!
Note: You may want to strategically thin out the patrolling guards for this Challenge, since activating each mine means that anyone who walks near it will set it off, killing them and causing the main target to flee and the rest of the guards to start looking for YOU!q
Mine Trivia Anyone?
While landmines remain a serious threat to safety in certain parts of the world – particularly to children – and most notably in Afghanistan, Angola, Cambodia, Nicaragua, Rwanda, Vietnam, and elsewhere in the world, the one place where the landmines turned out to be a good thing is in Argentina and The Falkland Islands.
It turns out that the mine fields that were laid on the beaches during the Falklands War have proven to be the preferred mating grounds for area penguins, who have discovered that while they are too light to actually set off a mine should they step on one, the same is not true for humans – who happen to be the biggest potential threat to their nests! The result of this is large mating colonies of Penguins on beaches no human dares to tread! Now how cool is that?
