Contract Play Tutorial
The game introduces the Contracts play by providing the player with a very basic contract through which they can play, with a basic set of conditions that include eliminating just the contract target, wearing just your regular suit, and using the pistol. In addition to those conditions, the fulfillment of which earns the player extra money in Contract Dollars. There is also a bonus paid for completing the Contract within a certain time limit.
The tutorial has you infiltrate the mansion grounds and make your way to a point at which you can engage and eliminate the target, hopefully following the required objectives. Once you have eliminated the contract you must get away – in this case any way you can. We chose to run!
When you reach the exit point you unlock the Achievement “Blood Money” (20G) You completed the Contract Basics Tutorial.
Creating Contracts Tutorial
Once you have played through a Contract you can then do the Creating a Contract Tutorial that will walk you through the basic steps in creating your own Contract... This can be as simple or as complicated as you like.
A Contract can have up to three targets, and you can do any variety of things that contribute to the conditions for the Contract, from using disguises or specific Weapons to specific actions.
For the tutorial we chose to do a very basic Contract – in this case a hand-based kill and then directly exiting the zone.
After exiting the level we unlocked two Achievements – “First Contract” (20G) You completed the Creating Contracts Tutorial. “Inconspicuous” (20G) You remained undetected throughout a checkpoint.
After saving the Contract you can then return to the Contract you created and create a Contract Competition for it, which will unlock the Achievement “Competitive Spirit” (20G) You created a contract competition.
If you have a friend who has created a Contract and a Contract Competition and sent you an invitation, you can then accept the invitation to that Competition, which will automatically unlock the Achievements “Partners in Crime” (20G) You played a contract made by a friend. – and “Contender” (20G) You participated in a contract competition. After completing the Contract you can “Like” it to unlock the Achievement “Thumbs Up” (20G) You liked a contract.
As you continue to play Contracts you can unlock the Achievement “Set for Life” (20G) Earn 1 million contract dollars. That basically completes the Contract-related Achievements.
Contracts that you create and save are added to the Contract server, and they can be played by other gamers and liked as well. You may find that despite the fact that you created the Contract by playing it that the other gamers who play your Contract actually score higher than you! The only way to deal with that is, of course, to play through your Contract again!
