Getting the magic armor is quite the little sidequest. You can initially find it in the Overpriced Store in Castle Town for an unreachable 10,000 rupees. Since you can never hold that many, we need to lower the price.
After obtaining the Master Sword (you may also have to complete the Arbiters Grounds. Some people do, some don't), go to Kakariko Village. Donate money to the Goron in Malo Mart. The want 1000 rupees to fix the bridge. Don't give them a rupee over 1000, however. Once you've donated it, talk to the old Goron outside the store. He'll ask you to take a barrel of spring water to a waiting Goron in Castle Town. Say yes and prepare to run.
Malo Mart Fund Drive |
Elder Goron |
Out in the field, don't run straight for Castle Town! The Leevers will hit you and break the barrel. Rather, hug the edges of the field, stopping every time you see a Bolblin archer to put down the barrel and snipe him really fast (you should only run into 2 total). Once you get to Castle Town's entrance, the Goron is waiting and tells you to throw the barrel on him Z-Target and throw it.
Stay along the edge |
He'll be reenergized and open up shop in Castle Town, dropping a heart piece as he passes.
Goron |
Go back to Kakariko Village with around 300 rupees. Go into Malo Mart to learn the next donation lowered from 2000 to 200, so give them that to open shop in Castle Town.
They must have gotten a donation from the Goron |
Warp back to Castle Town. Go to the Overpriced store in towns center to find that it has been taken over by Malo Mart. The Magic Armor costs 598 rupees, just under what you can currently carry. You don't need it right now, but if you feel so inclined, you can sell off the rest of your bugs and buy the armor.
The Overpriced shop is no more |
Quest complete |
Great cheats. Really! The only thing is after paying the old goron 1000 ruppees the goron outside the store didn't start the spring water quest. Thus no magic armor for me. Darn.
sadley that rich loser still owns the shop t dont know why
How do I get shield in Malo mart door is locked
when i got the magic amour I was just about to face to face with twilight king next thing I know I lost four hearts I put the magic amour and he can`t even get me so it`s worth it even if it wastes time like any boss but it`s worth it cause you stuck on like the temple of time cause it seems so easy but every temple gets harder and harder and then your on this website so if you want to beat this game in no prob get the magic amour it worth it and if you do I will use my computer and send you eight hundred and if you already done it it`s one thousands one hundred green notes so I hope you do it your money will be in one weeks
awesome so wrote that all down and so so happy with your help I have wanted the armour for months so I am a huge Zelda fan now I am going home and saying awesome to my brother
THINK IT IS PRETTY COOL
like several people have said while you have rupees you are invincible with the armor on. also, since you need 598 rupees to purchase the armor you can't get it if you don't have at least the big wallet. that said if you wear the armor while you're out of rupees you slow way down. so for me at least, it wasn't worth it while your wallet is empty.
when I read this it was useful thanks alot. Ill get it soon and improve the method.hopefully
Ha, thanks! YESHH! I cn now look cool while fightin' da lozersss!!
it waist rupys because it turns is to let you keep running in the armor
nope but maybe when you lose all your money you get hurt a bit
I've had a few incidents where, for example, I had money (56 rupees) and I equipped the armor. A moment later, I somehow took 1/4 heart damage (while inside Castle Town) and my money was gone. Any explanation?
i think that da armur shouldnot be heavy when u run out of rpees but it has helped me out in a few situations
just a note, I didn't have to complete the Arbiter's grounds before getting the magic armour
When I got the armor, I had 2 rupees left, so i put on the armor, and for a second it was gold and lightweight, but then it got heavy. What many people do not know is that when it turns heavy, it goes from being Magic Armor to Hylian Knight Armor. That's right; also, when it runs out of rupees, if you get hit by an enemy, it reduces damage taken by 3/4 [in comparison to the Hero's Clothes], so you are ALMOST invincible, but not quite.
**Also, I like to fight Ganondorf with the armor on just to make myself look badass during the cutscenes.
