Lake Valor, Lake Acuity Lake Verity

Catching Azelf, Uxie and Mesperit

< Lake Valor >

The lake will be back to normal now. So surf southeast across the lake to
find TM25 THUNDER. Proceed into the cave at the center of the lake. Save
your game before fighting it.

Legendary Pokemon Azelf
Be cautious about using special attacks on Azelf. It has low
special defense so it is possible to accidentally beat it with
just one hit. When Azelf's HP is down to orange, bring in a
weaker Pokemon and start chipping your target's HP down to
red. Throw Ultra or Dusk Balls to capture it afterwards. Azelf
is difficult to catch, so be sure to have lots of Ultra or
Dusk Balls in your inventory.

< Lake Acuity >

If you obtained the TM14 BLIZZARD earlier, then you can surf directly to the
cave at the center of the lake. If not, then surf northeast to get it. Once
again, save your game before fighting.

Legendary Pokemon Uxie
Bring in a Dragon-type Pokemon to bare the brunt of Uxie's
attacks. Reduce your target's HP down to red, and start
throwing Ultra and Dusk Balls. All Uxie does most of the time
is use Amnesia, which boosts its special defense. Again,
capturing this Pokemon can take a while.

< Lake Verity >

Surf towards the cave at the center of the lake. "Talk" to Mesprit and it
will run away. From this point on, the chase begins. You can pinpoint the
Pokemon's location using the Marking Map Poketech application. The only way
you can actually encounter it is to go back and forth between a town/city
and a Route. And hope that Mesprit ends up in your location.

Legendary Pokemon Mesprit
This Pokemon is really difficult to capture. When you engage
it, Mesprit will run away on its very first turn. Make sure
that your lead Pokemon's Speed stat is over 100. So that you
get to move first as soon as the battle starts. Use the Master
Ball to capture Mesprit right away.

Alternatively, you can also gradually damage Mesprit until it
becomes weak enough to be caught without having to use the
Master Ball. All damage and status ailments inflict on it will
be carried over to your next encounter with Mesprit even if
the Pokemon flees.

I use a Master ball every Pokemon. If you don't know how to get the marking map go in jubelife city. Then go to the Poketch Company. Then talk to the man next to the blue suit, blue hat man.He will give you a lot of poketch upgrades. He will give you a marking map!Ok.Use the marking map and wait till you see a head. That would be Mesprit.Chase it,then don't use a repel! It will appear in the wild.It only appear in grass.I use a Master Ball to catch it.The action replay code is right here:Ball Bag Slot 1 (Press L+R)

Added 16th Apr 2012, ID #134255

Actually, a good way to encounter Mesprit is to repeatedly fly to Hearthome City. Every time you use fly, Mesprit's location changes. From Hearthome City, you have easy access to all of Sinnoh so wait until Mesprit's location is favourable then cycle out and battle it!

Added 24th Nov 2011, ID #89784

mespirit keeps running.all u need is a crobat like me,over lv.40 make sure it has mean look ,so it cant run!weaken it down with crobat.dont switch,or it can leave.then when its hp gets red, switch to another quick pokemon.make it fall asleep right away.then its gonna leave.keep finding it,but let it escape and dont ATTACK! just keep using pokeballs.then after the 20-35th encounter, buy about 30 timerballs, then use crobat's meanlook. use a bunch of timer balls. happy mespirit hunting!

Added 4th Mar 2011, ID #31355

bring some Timer Balls, Dusk balls, and ultra balls with you. They help alot.

Added 25th Sep 2010, ID #13586

I used 10 ultra balls and 4 dusk balls when Azelf was in low red and I STILL couldn't catch it.

Added 19th Sep 2010, ID #13114

first make sure your speed is over 100, second try to make it go to sleep or confuse it, use dusk, timer, and ultra balls, do that for and of the three

Added 19th Jun 2010, ID #1074

when capturing this pokemon, make sure the pokemon you are using to battle it is at least over 65. If you want to capture this pokemon right away use the master ball.
If you dont want to use the master ball, or already used it, try to use a water pokemon to capture Giratina, then slowly weaken it. dont use hardy moves, just normal power ones, then when its power state starts to turn red use the dusk ball.
