Backyard Monsters is a real-time strategy game developed by KIXEYE aka Casual Collective. It is one of Facebook's most popular social games and is more hardcore than a lot of the other big name games on the platform. The general concept behind the game is for you to build a base or 'yard' for your monsters, protected by defensive structures. The idea is for these towers to attack any incoming enemies and prevent them from entering the yard. If the monsters do get into the yard, they will attack the buildings and steal resources from within. You are also able to build up an army and go and attack other players and AI teams of Wild Monsters.
Managing your own resources, army and defenses are all crucial facets to the game which has helped to make it so enduring after many hours of play.
