OK, it's truth time: this triathlon is *long* and *hard*... quit laughing, we're being serious! This is the third and final race, but it will take you across the Alamo Sea, on a tour of Los Santos via bike, and then on an uphill jog up to the Kortz Center!

All of this will take you about 30 minutes of real-life time (we clocked in under that, but still you are looking at 26-30 minutes). That's quite awhile, so it is important to know that you can pause at any time and rest your thumb if you wish. You also want to ensure you have max stability here as you want to come in first place the first time and not waste half an hour.

Swimming Portion:

This swim is ridiculous. From the starting point you're going to be swimming northwest across the sea and then a short stretch down to the finish. This is a long swim, so consider going underwater when you can (you don't have to hold the directional button underwater: just hit the action button). This alone can ensure you stay near the top of the pack, but your goal here is to just stay with the group. It is a long swim so keep going straight for those checkmarks and you'll be done in time. When you get to land, sprint for one of the bikes on the left and go!

Cycle Portion:

Oh man... this potion is long as well and in it you'll be going through a *lot* of checkpoints. This path winds you all around Los Santos and will take up a good chunk of time. There's a few things to note about this cycling portions. First of all, some riders are going to pass you. Don't be surprised if you find yourself in 3rd to 4th place all the way through the race.

HOWEVER! Do *not* panic! Keep calm and cycle! It is OK for 2-3 riders to blaze past you and be out of sight. In fact, on our first try we (well, Bkstunt - I won't blame Steve for this) crashed *twice*, and never got any higher than 3rd place in the entire bike section. Like the last races, you can make this up easily in the running portion (in fact the game cements this by having the people who beat you *walk* instead of run until you show up!

That isn't to say that you can't cut corners when you can. There are several places to cut a sidewalk or dirt path to get ahead. Heck, there's even a few places you can bunny-hop over obstacles to shave a second or two (note: bunny hopping should only be tried by experienced players), so look for them when you can but most of all do *not* consider all is lost as your running portion is still to come!

Running Portion:

Here we are, your forte. This run sucks, as it is mostly an uphill battle culminating at the Kortz Center. Compared to the bike ride though it is super short.

Your character, like the previous races, is as fast or faster than your competition. If you did a decent job in the bike race you shouldn't have more than 3-4 people in front of you (or less), whom you should be able to

outrun by the second running checkmark. From there a max-stamina character can take the lead and hold it the entire way to the finish line. It is a fairly linear path so cut whatever small corners you can and finish strong to beat the game's final triathlon challenge.

So, you may be reading this and/or asking yourself "What do I get by completing all of these triathlons?". Well, good question. The answer is "Absolutely Nothing". No monetary rewards to be had. You'll just have to either enjoy the challenge for the challenge or go plan another heist...

gta this is unacceptable. We did not buy this game to button mash. We can buy any other shooter for that.

Just finished the biking. Paused the game and couldn't open my left hand anymore. It's been five minutes and I can still barely move my hand. Sweating as hell too.
But I am in first place.
I wish I could have shot the other competitors.

Like the person before me just mentioned, you do not get nothing, you NEED to complete all 3 triathlons in order to achieve 100% completion of the game. So this challenge, although a little over the top in my opinion, is required if you intend to fully complete the game.
