Gun Club: Light Machine Gun Challenges
Latest update by CMBF
on Sep 29th 2013
The challenges for this set allow the use of the MG and the Combat MG -- though if you do not own any of these than the one you do not have access to will be locked. To unlock it you either need to buy it or you need to earn a Gold Medal in one of the challenges for this weapon.
For purposes of unlocking the Gold Medals in the three challenges below you should try to use the weapon you are the most confident with.
One of the tricks to getting good scores is NOT to miss. Ever. Missing resets the bonus levels. As long as you hit the target you will not reset the bonus. Shooting and hitting anything but the target and obtaining a score constitutes missing.
Challenge 1: Targets Take Multiple Hits to Exit.
To obtain a Gold Medal you must score 7,500 or more. For a Silver Medal you must score 5,500 or more. To obtain a Bronze Medal you must score 4,500 or more.
Thanks to the slow high of fire, getting Gold on this is actually rather complicated because you need to fire in bursts, pulling your fire as the target begins to retract. Targets will only take a limited number of hits before they retract.
Maintaining the bonus is therefor difficult since it is really easy to end up shooting the wall...
The best tactic here for getting Gold is again to shoot in short bursts and aim very well...
Challenge 2: Distant Targets that Flip Individually and Exit.
To access Challenge 2 you must first rank at least a Bronze Medal in Challenge 1.
To obtain a Gold Medal you must score 40,000 or more. For a Silver Medal you must score 12,000 or more. To obtain a Bronze Medal you must score 5,500 or more.
For this challenge your best tactic is to try very hard to maintain tight aim -- you really want to be hitting the center of the target if you want to get the Gold. Missing is not as big a deal since when you start putting dozens of rounds in the next target the bonus builds fast.
Work on maintaining precise aim and control and shift targets as fast as you can and Gold should easily be within your grasp here!
Challenge 3: Targets Take Multiple Hits to Exit.
To access Challenge 3 you must first rank at least a Bronze Medal in Challenge 2.
To obtain a Gold Medal you must score 32,000 or more. For a Silver Medal you must score 19,000 or more. To obtain a Bronze Medal you must score 7,500 or more.
This challenge is sort of like the previous except now you really need to fire in short bursts and try very hard NOT to miss. You want to keep the bonus multiplier going between targets because you really need that if you are going to unlock the Gold Medal.
