Gun Club: Heavy Challenges

Latest update by CMBF on Sep 29th 2013
To unlock this category you must earn at least a Bronze Medal in all other challenges.

While this is clearly a personal thing from gamer-to-gamer if you are a shooter fan than chances are this will be your favorite weapon challenge. After all, how often do you get the chance to target shoot with a Minigun when you don't live in West Virginia?!

The challenges for this set allow the use of the Minigun. Yes, just the Minigun.

For purposes of unlocking the Gold Medals in the three challenges below you will need to build your confidence with the Minigun because it is the only cookie in the jar, mates!

Bonus Building
One of the tricks to getting good scores is NOT to miss. Ever. Missing resets the bonus levels. As long as you hit the target you will not reset the bonus. Shooting and hitting anything but the target and obtaining a score constitutes missing.

Challenge 1: One Row of Re-Spawning Targets.

To obtain a Gold Medal you must score 50,000 or more. For a Silver Medal you must score 25,000 or more. To obtain a Bronze Medal you must score 10,000 or more.

As strange as this sounds accuracy is important here, and as the targets will only take so many hits before they retract, short bursts are essential. Obviously your aim is critical here, as is your control on the trigger. This is NOT an easy Gold.

Challenge 2: Targets that Exit after Multiple Hits.

To access Challenge 2 you must first rank at least a Bronze Medal in Challenge 1.

To obtain a Gold Medal you must score 45,000 or more. For a Silver Medal you must score 30,000 or more. To obtain a Bronze Medal you must score 15,000 or more.

As with the previous challenge, accuracy is not really important here. In fact you will find that simply cutting loose and holding down the trigger while you spray gets you a larger score than taking aim does!

Obviously your aim is not critical here, but your control on aim is. This is an easy Gold.

Challenge 3: Infinite Re-Spawn Targets.

To access Challenge 3 you must first rank at least a Bronze Medal in Challenge 2.

To obtain a Gold Medal you must score 70,000 or more. For a Silver Medal you must score 40,000 or more. To obtain a Bronze Medal you must score 20,000 or more.

This time aim and bursts are NOT an issue. In fact just the opposite! You should just cut loose, hold down the Go-Button and kill EVERYTHING in sight! Seriously! The only way you will get the bonus up is to do it just that way. This is the easiest Gold Medal you will ever earn!

This wraps up the Gun Club Challenges - though if you wanted you could go through and get a Gold using each weapon -- that would be hard core, just saying... Are you hard core?
