Cheat Codes and Hidden Extras

There is a long tradition of putting in both cheat codes and hidden content in video games -- but there is an even longer tradition of players creating their own path to cheats.
In the beginning the whole cheat scene began with gamers literally editing their save files to obtain the resources or wealth that they wanted in a game. Eventually this fascination with cheats slowly made its way into the game creation process, and early on had industries based on it in the form of magazines that featured news about cheats in games -- and the cheat codes.
When the Konami Code finally appeared though, it sort of set a standard, and while it was born with Contra, it soon became sort of an inside joke, being used in hundreds of games.
Eventually it reached a point where there was such an expectation of cheats in a game that not only did the developers put cheats in, but they were really good about seeing to it that gamers knew about them, which is pretty much the case with GTA V.
The cheats are slightly different depending on the platform -- if you hit the plus sign next to this page in the ToC you will find the platform specific pages below it.
Hidden Extras are another sort of related feature in modern games -- and GTA V is no exception to that rule. We also include the hidden extras that we know about -- for each platform -- and we invite you to share any that you know of that we missed!
So please feel invited to do so...
