St. Valentine's Day Massacre Event / DLC

It' Valentine's Day in Los Santos, and nothing says "I Love You" like the warm wooden grip and cold steel barrel of a Guesenberg Sweeper machine gun.

Dress to the nine's in a new Double Breasted Suit, a 1920s flapper dress, or bare it all in some sexy underwear and paint the town red in a classically-inspired new ride, the Albany Roosevelt.

All Items are available for a limited time -- so picking them up now and keeping them in your inventory forever is a very good idea indeed!

SPECIAL ROCKSTAR SOCIAL CLUB HOLIDAY WEEKEND EVENT

Rockstar is hosting a Valentine's Massacre Social Club Event Weekend -- The event kicks off on the 14th (V-Day) and runs through the 17th.

Players who choose to participate will receive special rewards in-game including some special event crate drops containing huge RP Bonuses, a range of SMGs, and some sticky bombs.

The event includes special rewards like triple GTA-$ payouts for all Sea Races, triple RP for Arm Wrestling, and free Cinema Tickets all weekend with triple XP in both Max Payne 3 and Red Dead Redemption.

A Spot of Update with your Expansion?

The latest FREE content expansion for GTA5 online -- The Valentine’s Day Massacre Special -- offers players a themed bit of fluff and stuff along the same lines as the previous chest-thumping Christmas adventure and the beach-themed expansion that came before that... But in addition to the following Valentine-themed content there is also a bit of practical in the form of bug fixes and the like...

On the Expansion Event side of things, we are treated to:

(1) New Jobs: Ten of Them!

The Valentine’s Day Massacre also includes 10 new Jobs spread all over the world -- Deathmatches, Parachute Jumps, Land, Sea and Cycling Races -- V-Day will never be quite the same for you after this! New Jobs include:

Creek (Parachuting): Players will able to jump off a chopper above the Raton Canyon, gliding into Cassidy Creek.

Heart Breaker (Bike Race): Race through the Grand Senora Desert and put your bike to test with the thrilling jumps.

Motorboating (Sea Race): Race through and make the jumps to the North of Mount Gordo with your love.

Property Values (Deathmatch): Players will have to keep a look out for the sniper at the property near Mirror Park

Shotgun Wedding (Team Deathmatch): These are small-scale deathmatch that take place near the church in Paleto Bay with shotguns blazing.

Vinewood Tours (Race): Race your car in the touristy places of Vinewood and Rockford Hills.

(2) New Ride: The Albany Roosevelt

There is always room in your life for a classic -- and this 1920s flavored armored limousine is the perfect example of “classic” (as long as when we say “classic” we mean a ride fit for a gangster that is!).

Available in GTA5 online via legendarymotorsport.net -- and your garage if you know, you already have one -- this car is cool.

(3) New Threads: Clothing that Makes the Man (and Woman)

Like the man said -- dress to the nines in a host of new double breasted suits and 1920s era flapper dresses, or hey, you can also bare it all in sexy undergarments! It is a love holiday after all!

Check out the threads or lack thereof both vintage and modern by hitting up your fave clothing store. Just saying.

(4) New Weapon: The Gusenberg Sweeper

The Gusenberg Sweeper is a machine gun -- but it is not just any old machine gun... Wait, actually yeah, it really sort of is any old machine gun! But hey, why split gnits of that sort?

Now head over to Ammu-Nation right now. NOW! Grab you that weapon and stock up on ammunition because hey, we have no way of knowing if it will be available after the expansion event times out!

Fair warning though -- the fun starts today (FFriday, 14 February 14) but as to how long it will last? Well, your guess is as good as ours! So get your fun in while you can -- don't let this be like the Christmas Special Event where you got to taste it but then it disappeared before you chomped it good and full, right?

This update includes a mix of the Special Event-related Additions, bug-fixes, changes to Items, and additional new not-related-to-the-SE items as well!

So why not organize the list so it makes more sense and you can get at the things you are most interested in with them grouped all together like?

New Hairstyle: 1920s Era Styles

A new hairstyle with a range of colors has been added for Female Characters.

Passive Mode Modded: It Just Got More Fair!

Due to lots of complaints about the fact that even when you are in Passive Mode (even when you PAY to be IN it) resourceful players can still find ways to kill you! As a result and to balance that bit of nasty out, the following alterations have been made:

When another player kills you while you are in Passive Mode, that dirty rat will get stuck with your hospital bill! That is right - if they kill ya while PM is enganged, THEY have to pay the bill out of THEIR wallet!

Ah but fair play -- if you use Passive Mode as a safe haven from which to kill other players while being safe from attack (there are some ways to do that) YOU will have to pay THEIR hospital bill!

New Clothing / Masks

New Items have been added to Clothes Stores

New masks have been added to Vespucci Movie Masks.

BUG FIXES

While there were a lot of small and minor Bug Fixes, there were also some important ones - including the following which we suspect you will find interesting....

Access Issue: Fixed an issue where lower-level players had access to Vehicles from Pegasus they should not have had.

Garages: Corrected an issue where a player could become stuck when entering a Garage for the first time.

Leader Boards: Fixed an issue where rank was displayed incorrectly in the Friends section of the Leader Board.

EXPLOIT FIXES

The following Exploits have now been patched / fixed!

• Fixed an exploit where a player could become invincible using the online to Single Player switch menu.

• Fixed an issue where occasionally players did not have to pay for Weapons.

• Fixed an issue in Parachuting where large amounts of cash were being incorrectly awarded.

• Fixed an exploit where players could farm RP by picking up and dropping Mission objectives.

• Fixed an exploit where players could continually farm enemies in certain Missions.

• Fixed an issue where attacking enemies in the green circle before a Crate Drop would cause the crate not to drop.

• Cash that is able to be shared with other players has now been capped.

• The amount a Vehicle can be sold for immediately after modding it (without Insurance and a Tracker) in LS Customs has now been capped.

• Fixed an exploit where players could gain unlimited RP during Missions.

• Fixed an exploit where players without special edition DLC could access certain restricted Vehicles

• Corrected an exploit where players were able to exploit discounted Vehicles for gain.

• Fixed multiple issues where players were able to duplicate Vehicles.

Survival Mode Fixes

• Added a splash across the screen to create a more obvious warning when the player leaves the survival bounds.

• Fixed an issue where helicopters in survival would sometimes get stuck at the boundary of the survival and not fly towards the action area.

• Fixed an issue in survival where enemy peds would sometimes navigate quite far away from the main action area, making them difficult to target.

• Fixed an issue in survival where enemy peds would sometimes look like regular pedestrian peds.

Trapping Bugs

• Fixed an issue where a player could become stuck on a loading screen when joining a friend's session during a Mission replay and choosing to spectate.

• Fixed an issue where a player could become stuck on a black screen if they tried to join a friend's game through their friends list.

• Fixed an issue where players could get stuck on a black screen when joining a Survival in progress.

• Fixed an issue where players would sometime get stuck in the sky after quick restarting a contact mission.

• Fixed issue where players could get stuck in garage elevator if transitioning between apartment and garage at same time as another player.

• Fixed issue where passenger could get stuck without HUD elements if driver left game while exiting garage.

• Fixed an issue where a player could become stuck in the shower after joining a friend's session via the friends tab whilst in the shower.

Money and Resource Bugs

• Give Cash option has been removed from the Interaction menu.

• Corrected an issue where players lost all ammo when dying with a Minigun equipped.

• Redwood Cigarette coupons now affect Hospital bill reductions properly.

• Fixed an issue where players were occasionally and randomly losing Insurance on their Vehicles.

• Fixed an issue that caused Jobs to launch early if the player had no cash available for betting.

• Fixed an issue where the difficulty multiplier was not correctly applying to cash rewards.

• Fixed issue with cash sometimes failing to drop out of an armored truck robbery after blowing open the rear doors with a sticky bomb.

• Players can now use bank cash for vending machines.

• A confirmation screen has been added for the "Purchase All Ammo" option for purchases over $10,000.

• Fixed an issue where some Vehicles were being sold for a lower price than normal in LS Customs.

Game Adjustments

• A new "Blow Kiss" Celebration has been added. Show some love.

• The Clothing Store Clerk is now invincible during the GTA: online opening Missions.

• Added a screen for notifying players when GTA online is down for maintenance.

• Added a new option to the Interaction Menu that lowers the attack priority against Friends.

• A Personal Vehicle option has been added to the Quick GPS list in the Interaction Menu.

• eCola can now be drunk when Parachuting. No animation will played in this case.

• The lobby start timer for Rally Races will no longer begin until a minimum of 4 players have joined. Solo players in Races now earn cash.

• The Mechanic has now been removed when delivering a Personal Vehicle. The vehicle is now created nearby instead.

• The price of a Merryweather Airstrike has been reduced.

• When changing Masks, Hats, or Glasses via the Inventory the close-up camera no longer turns on if player is in a combat stance.

• When a player is banned from GTA online they are now immediately sent back to Single Player.

• Fixed an issue where replacing one Personal Vehicle for another in online would make the original not visible in the Garage and only retrievable via the Mechanic.

• Fixed an issue where masks could be removed from a player in a performing the Smoking animation.

• Fixed an issue where players could be informed they had won a Deathmatch when they had not.

• Fixed an issue where with flashing button prompts in the transition to Leaderboards.

• Fixed and issue where a player could spawn with arms missing/random clothes after wearing Christmas present clothing, then rebooting without Christmas present extra content.

• Players should no longer be able to access North Yankton in online.

• Spectators can now hear everyone during a free for all Deathmatch.

• Players are no longer able to use the Kill Yourself option in Air Races.

• NPC Bounties can no longer be triggered by stealing a Tank.

• Ammo Drops have now been disabled in Vehicle Deathmatches.

• Players abandoned by their Rally co-driver are moved into spectate instead of being removed from the job.

• Players will now always respawn with ammo if they die in a Deathmatch, rather than respawning with a weapon that has no ammo.

• Corrected an issue where players were not able to sell some of their Vehicles in LS Customs.

• Added a new option in the Inventory menu to allow a player to set their Hat to be kept on when using a motorcycle.

• Added a warning screen when saving a new Personal Vehicle over an older destroyed one.

• Added functionality to show player height during Missions where players are in air Vehicles.

• Corrected an issue where the good behaviour discount was not being applied correctly.

• Corrected an issue where players were occasionally spawning too close to where they had died previously.

• Fixed an issue where Characters became bald after buying and trying on Masks.

• Bad Sport timers now show the correct time left to players in the Bad Sport pool.
