Full Review for Gran Turismo 4 by EspeonDude_

Introduction

Gran Turismo 4... The next installment of the Gran Turismo series. Continuing with the large quanity of cars that you can acquire, then large amount of challenging races will have a lot of Gran Turismo fans screaming for what they want to see now. The game features a heckload of Cars to drive, a larger amount of races, endurance races, and the best part of all... A brand new feature in this game, Nitrous. That's right, we get N2O in the game. Once installed you can have temporary bursts of Speed right outta there. More money making things occur in the game, like beating a race and getting a car that sells for $250,000. What can we all expect from the Gran Turismo makers out there?

Graphics

Superbly done. This game has absolute... Death defying graphics. No matter what they say about the game, these graphics are amazing. The real life aspect of cars and tracks make this a must play. Just go through the gallery of cars in the game and find the many things you can love about cars. The sleek design, how good they look, and my personal favorite aspect, the wheels. The wheels look stunning and there's so many different kinds of wheels that you can stick on your car. Favorite brands like Goodyear Tires are available to stick on the car. Simply put. The graphics, are breathtaking, astounding, whatever words you think describe that graphics, they are just, amazing, mind blowing, mind numbing, blah blah blah.

Sound

Maybe not the best sound. But what the heck right? Car engine noises are extremely realistic. Music is pretty good as well. Van Halen and more artists have their songs appear on the game. The car engines are simply astounding. They sound as if they would in real life, even with upgrades they sound like upgraded cars. This is why you can never go wrong with tuning even the badder type of cars. Some engines sound really light because of the extrmely light engine and low amount of Horsepower, others have a loud engrine due to a large engine and large amount of Horsepower. The sound will continue to grow on in the future Gran Turismo games for the benefit of us all!

Gameplay

Simply put. Amazing. So many races to do, even after you beat the Professional League, you still have Special Events, Country races, and the Dirt/Snow league. This can easily explain why Gran Turismo 4 is a revolutionary game. There's a lot of leagues that you could do with every league, even take away all your trophy's earned in that league to play again and get more rewards/money. The license tests have also improved with fun "minigames" called Coffe Breaks. These help you understand more about the car and driving different classes. The next feature I love is entirely new to the Gran Turismo series. Mission Mode! In Gran Turismo mode, you can try your luck with these brand new "missions" that range from starting 40 seconds behind the leader and having to pass all the cars and finish in first, to drafting to get to the leader. You can do a total of over 25 missions that will have this part of the game, making you play extremely long, helping you practice your skills, and becoming even better at this game.
Gran Turismo 4 has also dissapointed me with only being able to play with a Memory Card installed, which means you can't restart for fun without erasing your data. Dissappointing, but all the great features and functions listed above can make up for it. Let's hope the next Gran Turismo game can be as well as this one has been doing.

Lastability

Oh my god. Just, wow. Really. There's a lot of races and missions to do, meaning you WILL be playing for a really long time. Even when you beat all the races, missions and Special events, you just wanna keep racing to improve your skills, earning more money, or buying that dream car that you always DREAMED of having. Let's see, there's Beginner league, Amateur league, Professional League, Endurance Races, Special Car Brand Events, Country Specific Events, and Mission Mode. With all that to do, all I can say is, get moving!

Overall

This is an absolutely astounding game, the best type of racing game on the market. If you don't have it, get this game right now. This game will have you on the edge of your seat for an extremly long time and you will never get bored playing it. There's 24 Hour races(3 to be exact), 300 mile races, and extremely long races. With the addition of B-Spec Mode where you don't need to drive and you tell the driver what to do, you can do these easy(going up to 3 times fast!) and still have time on your hands to spare. Overall, this game is going to blow you away, using real life tracks, and some made up tracks, you need to love the competitive racing aspect in GT
