Inspired by the iconic 80's movie, Ghostbusters World is a free-to-play AR-based game for mobile devices where you take on the role of a Ghostbuster and head out into the real world to try and catch these ghostly apparitions before they are able to cause mayhem in your neighbourhood.

Using Apple's ARKit and Google's ARCore the game turns the streets in your very own neighbourhood into the environment in which you track down and capture these unwanted specters. If you have played Pokemon Go you will be familiar with the concept of using your device to view the world and search for the ghosts. When you find one you will need to use your particle thrower to fight them off and trap them in your proton streams so you can then aim and throw your ghost trap at them to capture and store them.

Check Missions

Make sure your regularly check your 'Missions' for Daily Missions, Weekly Missions, and milestone Challenges as they will give you decent rewards for completing. Rewards will include PKE Crystals and Coins.

Close Remote Gate

It is advised that you keep the Remote Gate in a place where you spend most of your time, probably your home or office. Once placed on the map you will be able to collect various items from the Remote Gate every 15 minutes so it makes sense to keep it close by. You can reposition the Remote Gate as many times as you want but each time will cost you premium currency.

Capturing vs Destabilizing Ghosts

There are two things that you can do to Ghosts, capture or Destabilze them. Capturing Ghosts is preferential as it allows you to Destabilize Ghosts that you have in your inventory any time you want. The only problem with capturing Ghosts is that it needs Traps and they can take time to get. Remember that when you Destabilize a Ghost you are destroying that Ghost in exchange for some rewards. If however you Destabilize the Ghost during a battle you will get a Spirit Shard for the Ghost while you will get nothing if it is Destabilized from your inventory.

Best Ghosts

There are plenty of Ghosts that you can capture with more being introduced with furture updates. In order to be successful you just need to focus on upgrading your best Ghosts. To determine which ones these are you need to look at the Ghosts rarity not the number of Stars it has.

Upgrade Equipment

To have any hope of catching the high-rank ghosts you will need powerful equipment so it is important that you pay attention to your character's gear and do Research to upgrade it whenever possible.
