Gang Beasts Cheats, Tips Strategy

Below is a collection of hints and tips that will help you to progress in the game.

Don't Get Cornered

Although the multiplayer maps in Gang Beasts are large, it is still incredibly easy to get yourself cornered. This is a situation you need to avoid at all costs because it results in being trapped and dogpiling. Always keep yourself out in the open and if possible have an exit strategy that you can quickly use to escape in the event you are targeted. These include going to another platform and running near someone that might be an easier target for a pursuer.

Fight Smarter, Not Harder

Usually the best strategy in beat'em up games is to pin your enemy down and unload a barrage of attacks on them. Gang Beasts is different, if you dive straight into a fight in this game, there is a good possibility you will be knocked out and thrown off a ledge straight away. You will have more success if you fight smarter and not harder in Gang Beasts, this means keeping your distance, so it is more difficult for an opponent to land a hit on you, climb into hard-to-reach areas, and position yourself near a hazard which you can take advantage of by easily tripping an opponent into or off of.

Grab Opponents

Although you can swing your fists and punch an opponent in Gang Beasts, you will find the easiest way to dispose of them is to simply grab and hold onto them until they tire themselves out frantically trying to escape, and then drop them off a ledge or into a hazard that can finish them off. If you grab an opponent, you will find it difficult to escape from your grip, especially if they are already tired.

Costumes Impact How You Fight

Make sure when you are creating your perfect character in Gang Beasts, you take into consideration that the costume you create can impact how you fight during the game. Although you can customize your character with masks, hats, mustaches, backpacks and even entire outfits such as onesies, you will find that some of these features that will make your character look unique can affect your hitbox. For example, some large mascot heads and big hats make your hitbox bigger which will result in your character being easier to grab by the opponent, having scarfs that drape off your character can also be a hazard you can do without as they allow opponents something to latch onto.

Take Advantage Of Map Hazards

Each of the maps in Gang Beasts features a hazard of some sort, some such as the unstable floor of the Ferris Wheel will be more dangerous than others. Make sure you are familiar with each map and the hazard it contains, so you know how to avoid it, and also devise ways in which you will be able to drop or push an opponent into it at the right moment during a game.

Keep Moving

The best strategy in Gang Beasts is to be continually moving, as being stationary will result in you becoming an easy target for your opponents, especially if any players are working together. Although some larger maps have places you can hide, such as the top of the Ferris Wheel, it is not recommended that you remain in them as you will eventually be discovered. If you are constantly on the move in areas that are tricky to follow, such as jumping between vans on the Trucks map, opponents will usually deem it not worthwhile trying to chase you down.

Let Hanging Players Fall

Resist the temptation of approaching opponents with the intention of finishing them off when you see them dangling from a ledge with one hand, as this may be a ruse to get you close, so they can grab your leg in order to yank you to your doom. It is far safer to keep your distance and leave them to hang.

How to Escape An Opponent's Grasp

One of the most frustrating things playing Gang Beasts is being grabbed by an opponent that is dead-set on not letting go. When this happens, there are a couple of things you can try to break free. If you rapidly press the jump button on your controller and lean in different directions while continually pulling away, you should eventually force the opponent to let go which will give you a second to reposition and get the upper hand. Another way is to headbutt the opponent, which can sometimes knock them out for a few seconds.
