1. Introduction
----------------
Hi and welcome to this Boss FAQ for Sonic Adventure DX: Director's Cut. I
really enjoyed this game and I have written this FAQ to help you with the
bosses that you will have to fight. There are quite a few, so let's get
started!

----------------------
2. Sonic Boss Battles
----------------------
This section covers all of the bosses Sonic will have to face.

-----------------
CHAOS 0
Difficulty: Easy
-----------------
This battle is not that difficult. When Chaos comes out of his liquid form,
rush over and homing attack him. Do this a second time when you get the
opportunity. Before you can land the last hit, you must dodge some attacks
that Chaos uses as he is up in the air. Avoid the attacks and once he lands
back on solid ground, homing attack him once more.

----------------------------
EGG HORNET
Difficulty: Relatively easy
----------------------------
Eggman will attempt to shoot a wave of missiles at you. To avoid these, you
must keep running. When Eggman shouts "All systems, full power!" he will try
to hit you by crashing into the ground. While he's downed, hit him with a
homing attack to do damage. More missiles will be fired. Be sure to keep
running around and to pick up rings when you need them. Overall, this is not
a very challenging fight.

---------------------------------
CHAOS 4
Difficulty: Moderately difficult
---------------------------------
When Sonic runs into Eggman in the Mystic Ruins, Eggman will take Sonic's
Chaos Emeralds, and he will use them to power up Chaos, who now has the power
of four Emeralds. When the battle starts, be sure to grab a couple of rings.
The rings in this battle are located on the lily pads throughout the area.
When Chaos emerges from the water, he is vulnerable, so hit him with a homing
attack. Keep moving and avoiding Chaos's wave and arm attacks. Never stay in
one place for too long; you will either sink into the water or be wide open
for an attack from Chaos. Hit Chaos five times when he is vulnerable to beat
him.

-----------------
CHAOS 6
Difficulty: Easy
-----------------
If you are quick about it, you can beat this boss in less than a minute. Once
the battle starts, Eggman will drop icy foes into the arena. Hit one to knock
it out of the air, then pick it up and throw it at Chaos. If done correctly,
Eggman will shout "No way! I can't believe this!" and Chaos will freeze. Hit
Chaos at this time to do damage. Another method you can use is knock an icy
enemy out of the air and wait until Chaos inhales deeply trying to suck you
in, and instead, he will suck up the icy enemy.

-----------------
EGG VIPER
Difficulty: Hard
-----------------
This is the last boss Sonic has to face. When the fight begins, start running
to allow yourself to avoid the multiple lasers Eggman will shoot when he says,
"Get a load of this!" Next, Eggman will appear in his cockpit just off the
edge of the platform. Homing attack him to do damage. Dodge more lasers and
then a bomb explosion that takes up a good portion of the platform. Now when
Eggman appears in his cockpit a little farther out, you must homing attack the
three green portions of the Egg Viper to reach his cockpit. Homing attack
Eggman to do damage him a second time. After you hit him a third time, get
ready for Eggman to appear at one end of the platform and shoot a wave of
lasers. Dodge these and hit him a fourth time. Now Eggman will say, "All
systems, full power!" signaling that he is about to destroy the platform on
the opposite side of the room from you. After that he will send spiked
platforms your way. The goal here is to jump up onto one and when it comes
back toward the Egg Viper, jump up and strike Eggman's cockpit with a homing
attack. Do this two more times to deplete the Egg Viper's health meter. But
that does NOT mean that this battle is over. In one last attempt to defeat
you, Eggman will crash his machine into one part of the platform. To avoid
this, stand on one part of the platform, and once the Egg Viper turns your
way, quickly run to another part of the platform. NOW this battle is over.

----------------------
3. Tails Boss Battles
----------------------
This section covers all of the bosses that Tails will have to face.

-----------------
EGG HORNET
Difficulty: Easy
-----------------
This battle almost exactly identical to the battle against the Egg Hornet in
Sonic's story mode. The only difference is the fact that Tails can fly, which
may be useful to if you must quickly avoid some missiles. Remember to keep
moving and hit Eggman after he yells, "All systems, full power!"

---------------------------------
CHAOS 4
Difficulty: Moderately difficult
---------------------------------
This battle is a little easier because of your ability to fly. You can avoid
most of Chaos's attacks this way. Whenever Chaos is vulnerable be sure you use
this opportunity to strike. If you are hit, be sure to pick up some rings on
the lily pads so Chaos can't defeat you.

---------------------------------
EGG WALKER
Difficulty: Moderately difficult
---------------------------------
You may find yourself having trouble in this fight if you do not know what
you're supposed to do. Run around or fly to avoid the bombs tossed at you, and
run over to the Egg Walker when you're not getting fired at. The machine will
raise one leg and then stomp the ground, creating a shockwave. Jump to avoid
this, then hit the leg that just slammed the ground. This will lower Eggman's
cockpit, allowing you to hit Eggman to cause damage. The battle continues in
basically in this manner. The only exception is, later in the fight, there
will be legs that you must hit. This battle concludes Tails's story mode.

-------------------------
4. Knuckles Boss Battles
-------------------------
This section covers all of the bosses Knuckles will have to face.

-----------------
CHAOS 2
Difficulty: Easy
-----------------
Knuckles will have to fight Chaos when he's powered up with only two Chaos
Emeralds. Glide into him to cause damage. Run away from him as he bounces
around the room in ball form. When he turns back into normal form, be sure to
hit him again. Hit him one more time to claim victory.

---------------------------------
CHAOS 4
Difficulty: Moderately difficult
---------------------------------
This battle is exactly identical to the Chaos 4 battles in Sonic's and Tails's
story modes. Follow a similar strategy to those battles, and be sure to grab
some rings on the lily pads when you are low. If Chaos is vulnerable, but he
is on the opposite side of the area from you, use your glide ability to get
over to him quickly.

---------------------------------
CHAOS 6
Difficulty: Moderately difficult
---------------------------------
Just like in Sonic's story mode, the fight against Chaos 6 consists of you
throwing ice foes into Chaos's mouth, freezing him, then attacking him. When
Chaos shoots out many tentacles, avoid them all as they come at you in four
groups. Freeze and hit Chaos four times and he will go down.

-------------------
5. Amy Boss Battle
-------------------
This section covers the boss that Amy has to face, the robot called Zero.

-----------------
ZERO
Difficulty: Easy
-----------------
Avoid Zero's attacks and get close enough so that you can smack him with your
hammer. Keep hitting him repeatedly until you knock him into the electrical
fencing around the arena. Once he is shocked, hit him once more with your
hammer to cause damage. After this, Zero will commence his shockwave attack.
Jump to avoid this. Hit Zero into the electric fence a second time and damage
him again. Do this just once more to win the battle. Just keep in mind that
after you hit Zero, the number of shockwaves he attacks with increases by 1.

-------------------
6. Big Boss Battle
-------------------
This section covers the boss that Big will have to face in order to save his
friend, Froggy.

---------------------------------
CHAOS 6
Difficulty: Moderately difficult
---------------------------------
To win this battle, you have to successfully cast your fishing rod into Chaos
and catch your pal, Froggy. This is obviously a wierd boss battle. A red
circle will appear, showing you where Froggy is currently located within
Chaos. Cast your rod at where the red circle is, and you should be able to
catch Froggy. Keep trying until you succeed.

----------------------------
7. E-102 Gamma Boss Battles
----------------------------
This section covers the bosses E-102 Gamma will have to face.

-----------------
E-101 BETA
Difficulty: Easy
-----------------
Hammer the B Button to continually shoot Beta. All you have to do is hit him
three times and you win.

-----------------
E-103 DELTA
Difficulty: Easy
-----------------
Just like the previous battle, as long as you continue to hit the B Button,
you should be fine. Walk around to avoid what attacks are used against you.

-----------------
E-104 EPSILON
Difficulty: Easy
-----------------
This is another easy battle. Move around to avoid all of the shots that come
your way, and counter with your own shots. If Epsilon moves throughout the
area, keep your eyes on him and aim your shots accurately.

-----------------
E-105 ZETA
Difficulty: Easy
-----------------
This battle is different than any other E-series boss battles thus far, but it
still should not present much of a challenge. You must shoot and destroy all
of Zeta's turrets. Each one takes a couple of shots to take down. Avoid the
missiles and shots that come your way and take down all the turrets to win
this battle.

-----------------
E-101 MARK II
Difficulty: Hard
-----------------
It's time for a showdown against the new and improved version of E-101. At the
start of the fight, if you try to shoot the boss he will just deflect the
shots away. Wait until he dives toward you, then shoot him from behind when he
can't defend. When E-101 shoots missiles, be sure to target and shoot them all
so that they do not chase you around the area. Later in the battle, E-101 will
head up into the air and shoot an explosive down onto the arena that covers a
portion of the area below. Avoid it and hit him again. Next he will shoot more
explosives followed by one more explosive that, when it hits the ground,
explodes and covers about 70% of the platform. Watch out for that and keep
hitting E-101 when he has his back to you until you win.

---------------------------
8. Super Sonic Boss Battle
---------------------------
This section covers the boss that Super Sonic will have to face, Chaos who is
now powered up with all seven Chaos Emeralds (a.k.a. Perfect Chaos).

---------------------------------
PERFECT CHAOS
Difficulty: Moderately difficult
---------------------------------
This is the final battle in Sonic Adventure DX. Super Sonic starts off with 50
rings. If you run out, you lose a life. To prevent this from happening, as you
head toward Chaos you can grab some rings. This also gives you more time to
focus on Perfect Chaos. Keep heading straight toward Chaos without losing any
speed. You must be at full speed to damage Chaos. When you approach him at
full speed, you'll go into his body and have enough momentum to crash through
his head. You must do this three times to clear the first phase of the
battle. Since Chaos does not have many attacks in this phase, it shouldn't be
to hard to reach him at full speed three times in a row. When the second phase
begins, you'll realize that it is almost identical to the first phase, except
now Chaos has a lot more attacks. He'll shoot a large beam at you as well as
a wave of different colored shots and some cyclones too. While avoiding these,
you must approach Chaos while at full speed. I find it easier to stay on the
right side of the screen to avoid most the Chaos attacks. However, the beam
attack is shot in you general location, so you must move to avoid it. Once you
have damaged Perfect Chaos three more times, you have successfully beaten him.
