You might know me as Deathborn 668 on the message boards and I decided to write this FAQ for Pokemon Collosseum, the first Pokemon game for the Gamecube. This FAQ will cover nearly everything within the game. If you see any information that's wrong, or that I haven't put in here yet, please E-Mail me at someguy668 (at) yahoo (dot) com Also, I ask that if you find this Walkthrough printed on someone else's website giving themselves credit, please notify me at once. I do not tolerate plagerism well and would like to stop people stealing any of my guides before it gets out of hand. Thank you. ============ ~I A.Notice~ ============ I don't have enough time on my hands to tell you the Pokemon every single trainer has. Most, not all. I will though tell you the Shadow Pokemon thay have. This is because I ain't go5ng replay the long story mode for a few trainers. Since you can rebattle almost every trainer in the game, there isn't much of a need to know their entire team. =============== ~I B.The Story~ =============== You are a former member of Team Snagem', an organization that seals the door to a Pokemon's heart, thus causing it to be an awful fighting machine. Your mission? Seek out and Snag all 48 Shadow Pokemon and purify them of the Shadow. It's a difficult task. Can you do it? ================== ~I C.Purification~ ================== This is when you eliminate all traces of the shadow from Pokemon. There are 5 different ways to purify a Pokemon from the shadow. 1.Use it in battle 2.Call it out from Hyper Mode 3.Walk around with it in your party. 4.Put it into Pokemon Day-Care 5.Use the Cologne Case on it. From the beginning all a shadow Pokemon knows is the attack Shadow Rush, a strong attack that has recoil damage. Sometimes, when using Shadow Rush your Pokemon will go into Hyper Mode, which means 3 things: 1.You can call it out from Hyper Mode by using the Call Out feature 2.Shadow Rush will have a very high critical hit ratio. 3.Your Poke will only obey Shadow Rush until out of Hyper Mode. The shadow is put into 5 bars. I'll tell you what clearing each bar means. No Bars-Pokemon only knows Shadow Rush 1 Bar cleared-Pokemon gains back 1 attack 2 Bars cleared-Pokemon starts gaining Exp. and EV's. (Doesn't actually benifit from Exp. and EV's until fully purified). Also, you'll now know the nature of the Pokemon. 3 Bars cleared-Pokemon learns a 2nd move 4 Bars cleared-Learns a 3rd move All Bars cleared-Go to Celebi Shrine to completly heal the Pokemon, learns a fourth move. When all bars are cleared, head to the Celebi Shrine in Agate Village to completly purify the Pokemon. Note:You can only catch Shadow Pokemon, not every one you encounter. Note:There are no wild battles, just trainer battles. However, you can rematch a trainer as many times as you want in most cases. Just enter any building and come out. Talk to the trainer after doing this and they should want a battle. It will work most of the time. ============= ~I D.Natures~ ============= Natures. Most of them give you a stat boost and a stat negative, while others don't do a thing. But more importantly, they determine what method of purification they like best. Here is a list showing which natures like which method. Likes: Using in battle:Adamant, Bold, Brave, Calm, Hardy, Hasty, Impish, Jolly, Naughty, Quarky, Sassy. Call from Hyper Mode/Sleep:Doctle, Lonely, Serious, Timid. Walk around in Party:Adamant, Bold, Brave, Hardy, Impish, Lax, Lonely, Naive, Naughty, Sassy. In Pokemon Day-Care:Bashful, Calm, Careful, Gentle, Mild, Modest, Quarky, Relaxed, Timid. Using Cologne Massage:Bashful, Calm, Careful, Gentle, Hasty, Jolly, Lax, Lonely, Mild, Rash, Relaxed, Timid. Pokemon usually hate all other methods of purification-in other words, their Shadow Meter won't go down as fast. =============================================== ~I E.Lesson 101-How to Properly Snag a Pokemon~ =============================================== When in battle, your partner will notify you when a Shadow Pokemon comes out and who it is. Then, the snagging process, just like all the other games, begins. How to Snag: 1.Weaken the Pokemon's HP to low yellow/red. The lower it is the better odds of Snagging. 2.Give it a Sleep, Paralyze, or Freeze condition. Poison and Confusion and Burn conditions might make it kill itself so avoid those. 3.Choose your Snag Ball and hope the Pokemon is captured! See? Nothing to it really. If the Pokemon breaks out of the ball, use it again or try to weaken it a little further. Remember, Shadow Pokemon know the Shadow Rush move and in battle they will use it often, and it's recoil might eventually kill itself. Thusly, you may need to rechallenge a trainer several times in order to catch the Pokemon they have. You have as many chances as you need to catch every Shadow Pokemon, so don't fret in the event you miss one of them. =============== ~I F.Pokeballs~ =============== In order to catch a Shadow Pokemon, you must have Pokeballs in your packet. There are many different balls. More expensive balls have better catching rates. Here are the balls, a description, and their prices: Poke Ball Cost: $200 A cheap ball with a normal catching rate. Upgrade to better balls as soon as you can, Great Ball Cost: $600 A ball with a catching rate twice as effective as a Poke Ball. Recommended whenever you get the chance to buy these early in the game. Ultra Ball Cost: $1200 A ball with a catching rate triple as effective as Poke Balls. Available after getting your first E-Mail from Duking. Master Ball Cost: N/A A ball with a 100% chance of catching a Pokemon. You get only 1 so use it wisely! Using a glitch, you can catch Pokemon with a Master Ball and still actually keep the Ball itself. Net Ball Cost: $1000 Catches Bug types and Water and double their normal catch rates. Premier Ball Cost: N/A You get 1 of these free for every 10 Poke Balls you purchase at once. They have a capture rate that is exactly the same as a Poke Ball. Nest Ball Cost: $1000 Catches low level Pokemon at double the normal catching rate. Timer Ball Cost: $1000 For every 10 turns in battle the catch rate greatly increases. (Max. of 30 turns). This is pretty much all the basics. Now comes the actual Walkthrough! ------------------------------------------------- ~II.Walkthrough of Story Mode~ ------------------------------------------------- In order to get most of the endgame bonuses, you need to first complete the Story Mode of the game. It isn't too overly difficult, much like all the other Pokemon games. Many things have changed compared to the handheld Pokemon games, but you should eventually get used to the differences and will be able to play well. ===================== ~II 1.Outskirt Stand~ ===================== You'll first be prompted to name your character so do so. His real name is Wes so I'll refer to him as "Wes" during this guide. After that is done you'll be in front of what appears to be a big train engine. Just so you know, all battles in Orre are 2 vs. 2, so you'll always have at least 2 Pokemon with you at all times. Right now, you have a Lv. 26 Umbreon and a Lv. 25 Espeon. Espeon is much stronger and Umbreon has more health and defenses, but weaker offensive stats. They will work well in battle, and become even better as they level up. Now, enter the train engine and talk to all the people, and if you want you can buy a few items. This is what they sell: Antidote: $100 Awakening: $250 Burn Heal: $250 Full Heal*: $600 Great Ball*: $600 Ice Heal: $250 Net Ball**: $1000 Nest Ball**: $1000 Paralyze Heal: $250 Pokeballs*: $200 Timer Balls**: $1000 Ultra Balls**: $1200 *=On sale after you recieve you first 5 Pokeballs free from the Shopkeeper. **=On sale after you get your first E-Mail from Duking. Now, head outside and Trainer Willy will follow you. He'll challenge you a battle. He's very easy. All the little runt has is 2 Lv. 24 Zigzagoons which are easily killed by Umbreon's and Espeon's Bite and Confusion. After winning that battle head off to the side and the map screen will come up with a new destination: Phenac City. Head there right now! =================== ~II 2. Phenac City~ =================== There's going be a welcoming comittee on your first step into the city. Sadly, it's a bad one. You'll meet up in a cutscene where 2 Team Snagem grunts are carrying a moving bag. They notice you and we all can see where this is going. Shady Guy Folly Whismur Lv. 25 Whismur Lv. 25 This battle is way to easy. Espeon's confusion will kill one of them and Umbreon's bite will bring down the other one. If it doesn't, then you should easily be able to wrap up the battle on your second turn. The two grunts will run off and all that's left is the bag. Run to it and push A and say yes to open the bag and, as it turns out, they were carrying an ugly looking girl in that sack. Yeah, it's weird but all to be explained. You'll now get to name your sidekick. Her real name is Rui but you can name her whatever you want. I'll refer to her as Rui through this guide. In the next scene she'll explain to you she was kidnapped because she has this strange power to see Shadow Pokemon (because they normally look like normal Pokemon to most people's eyes.) Now, head to the right and go into the Pokemon Center and go to the PC and save if you wish. I won't ever say when to save from now on, but whenever you snag a Shadow Pokemon, it's best to save. All Pokemon Centers, and several other key buildings, have a PC in them. You can save at any PC and, as usual, enter the Box system and change around the Pokemon on your team. Above the Pokemon Center is a Pokemart, so stock up on some goods if wanted. Now, head around the Pokemart, up the large stairs and to the right you'll find the Mayor's house. Before you enter, a mysterous man exits the house. He'll introduce himself as Nascour and say that you two will end up seeing each other again soon. Anyways, enter the Mayor's house and he'll introduce himself as Es Cade. He'll say that the Shadow Pokemon situation is absurdly bad and all that stuff and tell you to go check out the Pokemon Stadium. So, exit and head to the right and then north where you'll encounter a huge dome with water rushing on top. Enter and talk to the receptionist and she'll say a battle has already started. So, just exit the stadium and you'll meet up with a few former collegues. They'll state you were a former member of Team Snagem and your partner will ask you if that is true. She doesn't care what answer you pick. So now, we of course are gonna have a battle! Team Snagem Grunt Wakin Koffing Lv. 25 Corprish Lv. 25 Still easy. Confusion takes out Koffing in one hit and Corphish will die on the next turn as Bite isn't very effective against it. Now, your partner will come up with the question of how you are going catch Shadow Pokemon. She'll say to go check for Poke Balls in the town's mart. However, they don't have any and she won't let you leave until you talk to the man sitting at a table on the 2nd floor of the mart. He will say this town doesn't sell Poke Balls, that's for sure. However, the Outskirt Stand once sold them. Let's head back, shall we? Talk to the Outskirt Stand's shopkeeper and click buy, but exit out of it. Your partner will comment about how he used to sell Pokeballs. He'll somehow just find them and give you a free pack of 5 Pokeballs. Now, Pokeballs and Great Balls are in stock. I recommend getting a few Great Balls as we're about to catch our first Pokemon! Head back to the Mayor's house and you'll find instead two grunts, and a crazy disco man with a Poke Ball hairdue? Ahem. He'll say he's Miror B. and say that Cipher is behind the Shadow Pokemon plot. He'll instead leave you to deal with his two assistants. Battle time! Miror B. Peon Folly Whismur Lv. 26 Lotad Lv. 25 (What happened to his other Whismur?) Anyways, like the last battle, Confusion and Bite will do it's work on him and this will end pretty soon. Not like you have too much of a choice in attacks. After this battle, the other grunt will attack you. Miror B. Peon Trudly Duskull Lv. 25 Spinarak Lv. 25 Makuhita Lv. 30 (Shadow Pokemon) Defeat Duskull or Spinarak as quickly as possible as they can get very annoying, usually infecting you with nasty status effects that will make the battle that much harder. Once you do, he'll send out his Makuhita, and Rui will come up and say that he is a Shadow Pokemon! Now comes the fun part. Don't use confusion because it will kill him in one shot easily. Instead, use Bite and Swift to slowly lower his HP. Once he is in the yellow or red use a Great Ball and hopefully he will be caught. If not, try the ball again. Now, you can't leave the town because 3 Mystery Troops are blocking your way. For now, let's go to the Pokemon Academy and talk to the lady on the right. Take the challenge where you face 4 trainers in a row. They are very easy and go down to Confusion and Bite quite quickly. After beating, them you'll recieve a White Herb. This is a hold item that prevents any stats from being lowered by attacks in battle. Now, if you want a Quilava, talk to the Red Mystery Troop. If you want a Bayleef, talk to the Green Mystery Troop. If you want a Croconaw, talk to the Blue Mystery Troop. You can catch the others at a much later time (by that, I mean after you beat the game) so choose wisely. Mystery Troop Rosso/Verde/Bluno Spoink Lv. 24 Grimer Lv. 26 Quilava/Bayleef/Croconaw Lv. 30 (Shadow Pokemon) It's all about catching the G/S/C starter you want. Take down the other two Pokemon first and then slowly weaken the starter. When weak enough throw a Great Ball as you won't get the chance to Snag them again until the end of the game! After the battle all the Mystery Troops leave and a new location appears on the map. Go to it. ================== ~Construction Lot~ ================== Nothing here, but a Colosseum will be here soon and this place become a little important for a second soon. =================== ~II 3. Pyrite Town~ =================== Welcome to the town of thugs, agressive trainers, and a whole lot of Shadow Pokemon! Start off by going to the middle of the town to find 6 trainers waiting there for a battle in "Duel Square". Each of them has a Shadow Pokemon, so bring some Pokeballs. You can fight them whenever you want. There is also a woman walking around there too and also wants a battle. Bring a little luck as you may want several of these Pokemon on your team. Chaser Emok Zubat Lv. 27 Gulpin Lv. 27 She's quite easy if I do say so myself. The Gulpin will try to put you to sleep by Yawning on the first turn, so try to knock it out first. Rider Vant Skitty Lv. 28 Zigzagoon Lv. 28 Misdreavous Lv. 30 (Shadow Pokemon) Makuhita will be useful here as his fighting attacks will kill Skitty and Zigzagoon fast. Slowly hurt Misdrevous as she can be pretty strong later on. Nowhere near as good competitively, but you have little choice on who to use in this game. Bandana Guy Divel Psyduck Lv. 29 Quagsire Lv. 30 (Shadow Pokemon) Another easy fight. Psyduck can take a while as he powers himself up and Quagsire is pretty weak, so don't overdue the attacks! Roller Boy Lon Igglybuff Lv. 29 Azurill Lv. 28 Swablu Lv. 29 Slugma Lv. 30 (Shadow Pokemon) A big team, but Igglybuff goes down fast. Water is good against Slugma, so avoid that. Kill of the rest of team before weakening Slugma so he'll be singled out. Rider Nover Noctowl Lv. 33 (Shadow Pokemon) I can't remember the rest of his team, but he does use some flying types. He goes down pretty fast and his Noctowl can be a pest. St. Performer Diogo Flaffy Lv. 30 (Shadow Pokemon) I can't remember her's either, but she is a pushover. Her team has low HP and the same is with her Flaffy so weaken it with Swift and Return. Snag when ready. Rider Leba Skiploom Lv. 30 (Shadow Pokemon) Her team is mainly of grass types so she'll go down in a heart beat if you were able to catch Sligma and got back some attacks, or you chose Quilava earlier. Her Skiploom, which knows Sleep Powder, is very useful for catching other Shadow Pokemon, so catch it when you have the chance. After all that fun of Snagging, let's head to the north to the Colosseum, shall we? Upon entering, you'll find out again that a competition is already underway. Talk around some more and you will find out the prize for winning is another Shadow Pokemon! Head to the house with a white "G" on front. Go to the bookshelf and say yes. Talk to the kids inside. Exit and you'll see Silva, Duking's friend, saying he shouldn't let Miror B. run the Colosseum. Then he'll run off. Head to Cail at the front of town. Trainer Cail Ralts Lv. 28 Machop Lv. 30 Seedot Lv. 27 Furret Lv. 33 (Shadow Pokemon) His Furret is the prize of the day and it's the toughest one to catch so far. It's not all that hard but may give you a little bit of trouble if you have no more Great Balls. It's also pumped up at level 33, so a critical Shadow Rush will easily destroy your Pokemon, especially if they aren't leveled up as high as Furret yet. Anyways, Cail will talk about some funky dude that's giving away the Shadow Pokemon. Guess who that dude happens to be? Miror B. A cutscene will appear about him talking about the Shadow Pokemon plan going very successfully. Head to the north and into a building near a windmill where you'll see a scientist come out and fall over. Inside, Silva stole a gear that powers the windmill, which generates power for the Colosseum. Now you must retrieve it, but there are many gears everywhere. I believe you can guess why he stole the gear. Head back to the Construction Lot and in the top-right corner you will find the correct missing gear. Return to the windmill and put it in place. Duking will be there too and you'll be on his good side now. He'll tell you that the Colosseum is giving out strange prizes, and he wants you to enter and win. So head to the colosseum and do so. You will battle 4 trainers in a row and be healed after ever battle. However, this isn't an actual Colosseum battle and the trainers are very easy and their Pokemon are defeated quite fast. In the order you will meet them, here they are. Trainer 1 Sandshrew Lv. 31 Barboach Lv. 30 They both go down to grass attacks, so use those for an easy win. Trainer 2 Natu Lv. 30 Meditite Lv. 30 Dark types prevail here as they are both Psychic. Umbreon's Bite wins it. Trainer 3 Cacena Lv. 31 Vulpix Lv. 30 Ground type moves will easily kill Vulpix, use fire for Cacena. Trainer 4 Bagon Lv. 31 Goldeen Lv. 32 Magnimite Lv. 31 Delibird Lv. 32 A lot of variety, so just use strong attacks and you should be fine. Ok, after winning you will be escorted by a Cipher Peon to the Pyrite Building to claim your prize. The grunts, realizing who you are, give you nothing but a fight. ======================= ~II 4. Pyrite Building~ ======================= Cipher Peon Nore Nincada Lv. 31 Pineco Lv. 32 Surskit Lv. 32 Yanma Lv. 33 (Shadow Pokemon) Psychic attacks will take out this team quickly, but be careful not to overdue the attacks against Yanma. Because it's the Pokemon your trying to Snag, don't panic if you kill him-you'll get another shot (Along with any Shadow Pokemon you accendentily killed) again after beating the game. Duking will now come in and he will talk to you about what they're doing here. Sounds pretty bad doesn't it? Well, that's what were here for-to stop this stupid Shadow Pokemon project. Pick up the glittering thing on the floor. It's a report on Hyper Mode and you should read it to learn more. Let's move on shall we? Head to the right and go up, then to the right through some doors where another trainer will attack you. Roller Boy Pike Hoothoot Lv. 34 Taillow Lv. 33 If you Snagged Flaffy earlier, its Thundershock will be super effective here. If not, it should still be an easy battle, just a long one as they will continually use Fly, which will drag out the battle for a while. Move on and go down and heal up and save at the restoring machine and PC. Now, go back up and head up the stairs, where we're going to have to fight a lot more. Bandana Guy Geats Pupitar Lv. 31 Barboach Lv. 32 Carvanha Lv. 32 I think you should know your types by now. Water against Pupitar and Grass against Barboach and Electric against Carvanha. What an easy battle. Well, now head to the right for another trainer battle. Sheesh I am sure we are all sick of them. Hunter Geare Magnimite Lv 32 Remoraid Lv. 33 Pretty simple, I should say. Ground type moves will make this no problem. Well, continue on as usual and go through the doors to find a battle and 5 Great Balls, which is useful. Sadly, I have no idea what the battle is so I can't report it (But he has Pokemon weak to grass for your information). Head to the left as usual to find another trainer preventing you from using the stairs. Body-Builder Akmen Voltorb Lv. 31 Electrike Lv. 31 Use Bite and Confusion as you won't have any ground type moves at this point of the game. They will most likly paralyze you, so go back to heal if neccessary after this battle. Head up the stairs. You're so close! Don't back down now. Sadly, another damned trainer is gonna attack you. Figures. Rider Raleen Swablu Lv. 31 Doduo Lv. 32 Ledyba Lv. 32 Flaffy will cook these Pokemon quite nicely, so do so. It'll also help purify her as well, another plus for using them in battle. Keep heading right for another battle. (Man, they wanted you to waste time didn't they?) Hunter Tura Snorunt Lv. 32 Spheal Lv. 31 Fire attacks will kill them fast, so if you have Quilava don't hesitate to use him. Head up and to the right and go through the second door for a revive. Now, continue to the right then go up for the last trainer (sorta) in the building. Bodybuilder Akmen Cacena Lv. 32 Tentacool Lv. 33 She has a mix of types so use fire and electric to put her in the place she deserves. Now, head to the right and out the exit. You're on the roof with a guy guarding the entrance to somewhere. Ignore him, head into the building on the right. You'll find Silva in trouble, and two Cipher Peons laughing at him. They'll battle you, no surprise there. Miror B. Peon Reath Spinarak Lv. 33 Luvdisk Lv. 32 Remoraid Lv. 20 (Shadow Pokemon) He'll start with Remoraid every time, so make sure you use a low level attack on him. If you KO him, don't panic, you can easily catch him after beating the game. Spinarak can piss you off though, so don't let it. Right after that, the other grunt attacks you. Miror B. Peon Ferma Aipom Lv. 32 Yanma Lv. 33 Furret Lv. 31 Mantine Lv. 33 (Shadow Pokemon) Huge variety, so it's best just to use brute strength. Mantine is a pain to normally catch, but a Water Pokemon will help you later in the game. Catch it if you wish. If you are having trouble with it, you can always catch it later. Now that that's over with, let's talk to Silva. He'll explain that while trying to rescue Plusle, he was captured. Now, Miror B. will appear on the TV near you and exclaim that he has Plusle. He'll say he's at the bottom of Pyrite Cave. He'll be waiting. Head back out the door and talk to the guard blocking the cave entrance for a battle. Hunter Doken Goldeen Lv. 33 Linoone Lv. 33 Qwilfish Lv. 33 (Shadow Pokemon) It's all about the electric types. Qwilfish, if attacked with a Physical Attack, will Poison you, so be careful. Snag Qwilfish if you missed Mantine, or just catch him anyways, he's pretty useful for the time being. He'll gladly move out of your way once defeated. Now, head inside the cave and prepare for a long trek to battle Miror B.! =================== ~II 5. Pyrite Cave~ =================== Note: I will be putting here only the quickest route to Miror B. There are, however, some side-quests in the cavern with trainers nearby. I won't list them, but those trainers will have mostly Water, Grass, and Flying Types. Past them are some good items. This is optional. Now, on with the Walkthrough. Head down the first set of stairs ignoring the Trainer if you wish. After this flight of stairs you're going to end up in a fight. Chaser Maiz Ralts Lv. 31 Koffing Lv. 32 Shroomish Lv. 32 Another mix of types but still, you should have Snagged the right Pokemon long ago. Head to the right still, ignoring the seen stairway for another battle. Rider Twan Bagon Lv. 33 Numel Lv. 32 Meditite Lv. 33 (Shadow Pokemon) It's best to use Confusion on Meditite as it'll do less damage and you won't run the risk of KO'ing him with Bite. Continue heading north and down the stairs, where you will meet another trainer. The environment has changed to a sewer like area. You are close to a very important place! Rider Sosh Mareep Lv. 34 Cacena Lv. 34 Dunsparce Lv. 33 (Shadow Pokemon) Dunsparce has been made so much more better nowadays. He, as with Togetic and Jirachi has the legendary Serene Grace ability. It makes him another useful asset to your team if you exploit that power. This ability doubles the odds of a special effect of a move occuring. Quite nice. Keep heading to the right and near the staircase you'll find a PC and health restoring machine. Save, heal, and keep going on. You are so close to Miror B. now. Well, after going up the stairs, just keep heading north until you see one last staircase. Only 1 trainer blocks it, so I think you know what's gonna happen. Hunter Zalo Swablu Lv. 33 (Shadow Pokemon) Lombre Lv. 32 Lotad Lv. 31 Beldum Lv. 32 It won't be easy getting attack advantages here, just attack with power. Snag Swablu when you have the chance. Now head down the stairs then to the north. Miror B.'s theme will play. Go in front of the podium and he'll talk about how long it took you to get here. See his 4 dancing Ludicolo's all aligned? You're facing them and another mystery Pokemon. Well, time for Boss battle #1! Cipher Admin Miror B. Ludicolo Lv. 28 Ludicolo Lv. 29 Ludicolo Lv. 30 Ludicolo Lv. 31 Sudowoodo Lv. 35 (Shadow Pokemon) This is one bad boss. His Ludicolo's will start off with Rain Dance to collect HP every turn, then use Leach Seed to gather more HP from you. Sudowoodo is a nice addition, but he is a pain to Snag, so don't bother unless you really want him. After winning, he'll escape, so head into the room just in front of you. Plusle is in there, and when you talk to it Silva and Duking come and you'll be taken back to his house. Leave, and exit town but talk to the lady outside to Fortune Telling shop. She'll say the answer to purification is in the north. Let's head there. ===================== ~II 6. Agate Village~ ===================== See the large tree in the middle of the village? That's where we're headed. Inside that house is Rui's grandparents. Yep, it's what she was doing before she got kiddnapped. Talk to her grandparents Beluh and Eagun and then some old guy will rush in and tell you that some strange people trespassed into Relic Forest! Head to the Pokemon Center, and infront of it to the left is an almost unseen path leading to the forest. You have some battles here, so come prepared! Cipher Peon Doven Carvanha Lv. 34 Spheal Lv. 33 Easy, Electric'll do. Continue up a bit to see another trainer. Cipher Peon Silton Cacnea Lv. 34 Shroomish Lv. 34 Yeah, use some Fire-type attacks. No problem. Keep heading up, and near the exit one final trainer attacks. Cipher Peon Kass Kirlia Lv. 35 Baltoy Lv. 35 Ralts Lv. 35 Dark, Dark, Dark. Do these trainers get any harder? Now head through the exit to stumble upon a battle. Eagun vs. Cipher Peon Skrub! You're just gonna watch a Lv. 50 Pikachu (Eagun's) Vs. Skrub's Lv. 38 Shadow Hitmontop. Pika uses Quick Attack and misses. Himontop uses Shadow Rush and nearly KO's Pikachu. The Hitmontop wins since Eagun fails as a trainer. Then he sees you, and we all know what the end result is after him saying this important speech. The relic your infront of is Celebi's Shrine. It has the power to completely get rid of the Shadow of a Pokemon. They have come to get Celebi, then destroy the shrine. Now, we aren't gonna let them get away with that right? Cipher Peon Skrub Hitmontop Lv. 38 (Shadow Pokemon) Wynaut Lv. 37 Clamperl Lv. 38 Geodude Lv. 38 Don't send Umbreon into this battle, he'll be KO'd fast. Hitmontop is pretty much the only Fighting type Shadow Pokemon so if at all possible capture it. Electric and Water will KO the rest of this team. He will make his escape. Eagun will thank you but there's something more important. Head to the house near the Poke'Mart and talk to Senilor inside. He'll explain everything about Celebi's Shrine. Now. Head back to Rui's house and Beluh will have a Stone Tablet for you. It'll tell you about the Shrine's power. A connection to purifying maybe? Leave the house and you'll receive urgent E-mail. Mt. Battle has been take hostage by Cipher. Well, time to hit the road again! ================== ~II 7. Mt. Battle~ ================== A huge volcano, the place set for the ultimate endurance test--Mt. Battle. With 100 Platforms you will need to battle 100 trainers. However, the actual place is closed due to Cipher's take-over. Defeat the Trainers on platforms 1-9 and then the boss on Platform 10 to clear Cipher from the area. Heal and enter through the buildings doors when you are ready. Almost all of the trainers are using Ground and Rock types. Have a Water Pokemon to flood out to competition. Rider Turo Numel Lv. 34 Trapinch Lv. 35 Sandshrew Lv. 35 Hunter Drovic Swinub Lv. 35 Larvitar Lv. 37 Baltoy Lv. 38 Rider Kimit Numel Lv. 37 Sandshrew Lv. 37 Geodude Lv. 38 Rider Riden Graveler Lv. 37 Pineco Lv. 35 Baltoy Lv. 35 Houndour Lv. 37 Hunter Telia Lileep Lv. 38 Barboach Lv. 38 Trapinch Lv. 38 Trapinch Lv. 38 St. Performer Nortz Spinda Lv. 37 Kadabra Lv. 37 Cacnea Lv. 37 Hunter Weeg Graveler Lv. 38 Vibrava Lv. 37 Sandslash Lv. 38 Cipher Peon Kison Kirlia Lv. 38 Duskull Lv. 38 Houndour Lv. 37 Koffing Lv. 37 Cipher Peon Berlin Geodude Lv. 38 Sandslash Lv. 38 Geodude Lv. 38 That was 9/10 battles. Heal and save if necessary and get ready to face the boss and the chance to capture a legendary Shadow Pokemon! Back at Platform 10, Dakim, some muscle head, is pushing around Vander, the Area 1 Leader. He has a Time Flute, which is used to call Celebi and Dakim wants it! Let's stop this. Cipher Admin Dakim Metang Lv. 37 Golem Lv. 38 Camerupt Lv. 38 Marshtomp Lv. 38 Entei Lv. 40 (Shadow Pokemon) Metang and Golem/Camerupt will ALWAYS be first. Dakim uses the Earthquake/Protect combo. Golem/Camerupt will always use Protect first turn and Metang will use Earthquake. Then, it switches next turn and keeps alternating. Get rid of Camerupt, Metang, and Golem ASAP if Entei comes out because they WILL use Earthquake and there is always the possibility it will KO him. Entei is quite a prize, and you should capture it. If you don't want him or you're about to lose the battle, go and KO him, save him for later. Dakim will jump away and Vander will get up and give you the Time Flute. With it, you can call Celebi to completely purify 1 Pokemon, getting rid of all of it's darkness wherever the bar is. Next to Vander is a shiny object which is the F-Disk. Pick it up, it's very important later on. Leave Mt. Battle and go to the new destination: Shadow Pokemon Lab. Here, the Main Gate is closed, and can only be opened with a key gotten elsewhere. You'll get an E-Mail from Duking saying that they caught some suspects and put them in jail. Let's head to Pyrite. Back at Pyrite, head into the green building, Pyrite Jail. Go through the doors and grab the Jail Key from the table. Now, go to the Southern Cell and open it, and talk to the sleeping Peon. Steal the Key in his pocket. Now, head to Pyrite Building. Remember that Elevator that girl was guarding before? Using the Elevator Key, you can open the door to that Elevator. Do so. Now, it's time for a little Spy Work! ================= ~II 8. The Under~ ================= Stepping off of the elevator, head to the left and you'll be involved in watching a TV Show. The Under Time is airing, and Lady Venus is warning all citizens in The Under to beware of spies. Who could they be? Anyways, head down the stairs to the right and go south and through some doors. You'll be in a Hotel, which will restore your Pokemon for $1000. Meh, a little detour can make that free. Head upstairs and out the door and go across the bridge. Battle the trainer if you want to. Chaser Gurks Wailord Lv. 40 Feebas Lv. 38 Magikarp Lv. 38 I'm not sure why he has a Magikarp, since all it does is Splash. Fairly easy battle. Head inside the doors and head to the basement of the Junk Shop. Talk to the kid down here and he'll tell you that he's late delivering a package to someone else. He'll ask you to do so. Take the Powerup Part, and exit the building. Head back up and go to the stairs on the right and talk to the kid infront of the building. He'll be ecstatic you have the Powerup Part. You'll now be brought inside the Kids Grid HQ. Nett, head technical genius will take the part from you to get their Satellite Dish back and running. Exit the house for a little surprise. The spies have been captured, and it's not you! Head back to the Elevator for a scene where two Cipher Peon's lock up none other than Silva. They put him in a caged cell and locked the door. This can't be good. Head to the left side of the cell, to a little part jutting inwards and push "A". Silva will come over to you and hand you an R-Disk. Now, we can put an end to Venus's evil plot. Head down for a little Exp. Hunter Zada Jigglypuff Lv. 35 Shuppet Lv. 35 Oddish Lv. 34 Skitty Lv. 35 Now head back to the entrance of the cell where the two Cipher Peon's are guarding. Talk to them to battle, it's optional, but for a Shadow Pokemon! Cipher Peon Kloak Spinarak Lv. 39 Ledian Lv. 40 (Shadow Pokemon) Volbeat Lv. 38 It's all about fire here. Ledian is weak, so whittle away it's HP slowly. Now, the other Cipher Peon next to her will battle you! Cipher Peon Dagur Gloom Lv. 38 Ariados Lv. 38 Illumise Lv. 40 Mmmmm, barbecue! Now, head back to the stairs and you'll see a pathway of stairs leading up to a UFO. To the left of those stairs is a Disk Slot telling the UFO what direction it should move in. Put in the F-Disk to go forward to Under Colosseum and a healing machine. Or put in the R-Disk if you're ready to take on Venus. Inside the TV Studio, Venus is standing at a desk acting all pretty like. (Hard to believe she's a bad guy.) So let's get ready to battle Boss 3! Cipher Admin Venus Delcatty Lv. 45 Vileplume Lv. 44 Banette Lv. 45 Steelix Lv. 45 Suicune Lv. 40 (Shadow Pokemon) Miror B. used Rain Dance/Leech Seed. Dakim used Earthquake/Protect. What's with Venus? Attract. She's gonna piss you off. Don't attack Delcatty with Physical attacks, or her ability will automatically make you Attracted to her (Assuming you're a male). Vileplume should be first order of business. She'll use Giga Drain, Attract, and Stun Spore endlessly. Banette is quite strong so use Dark attacks to KO her fast. Steelix will use Earthquake, and that gives you a slight advantage as her other Pokemon never uses Protect. Suicune, finally, is quite a prize, and is the best Water Pokemon catchable in this game. Well, after that battle, head down the stairs in the studio and unlock the black door and head right, up the stairs and into the Under Colosseum! Nice shortcut. Heal up and save and go back to that door, but this time keep heading left, through the brown door and you will see two exits. Go to the right one. You'll now see Venus flee down the Elevator and into a Subway Station. You have some battles coming up (3) and each has a Shadow Pokemon! Keep heading down the stairs for a battle. Hunter Frena Teddisura Lv. 37 Shroomish Lv. 36 Jigglypuff Lv. 38 Gligar Lv. 43 (Shadow Pokemon) Gligar is part Ground/Flying (Weird isn't it?) so don't bother with Ground or Electric. He has no real weakness making him a good Pokemon if not for his so mediocre stats. Head down the next flight of stairs. Another battle awaits. Chaser Liaks Stantler Lv. 43 (Shadow Pokemon) Gloom Lv. 38 Roselia Lv. 38 Kirlia Lv. 37 Another boring battle. You can catch Stantler I guess. He isn't too terribly strong, however. Head down the next flight of stairs. 2 Battles left! Bodybuilder Lonia Piloswine Lv. 43 (Shadow Pokemon) Octillery Lv. 38 Masquerain Lv. 39 Dunsparce Lv. 39 Piloswine is an intersting combonation. Ice and Ground. Well, head to the Subway entrance. 1 final battle. Last battle for now in The Under! Rider Nelis Sneasel Lv. 43 (Shadow Pokemon) Loudred Lv. 41 Seviper Lv. 40 Corsola Lv. 40 A hard battle because she has strong Pokemon, but not too hard. Just keep thinking "The last battle." Head into the Subway afterwards. Head into the Shadow Liner and exit. Venus will taunt you that she has the only key to the Train, then run away. Exit the station and right infront of the sign "Station" is a glimmering object, which is the key. Now, go to the left side of the train and use the key. After getting out of the train some Peons will run off. Head up and get ready for a jolt. They explode the area near you. Head inside the door, staring at the big hole they cut off the access to the Shadow Pokemon Lab from your end. Go the right to find the Main Gate Key, a very important item. Head out the door and to the right, through the boxes is a chest with a U-Disk. Use it on the UFO to get to a secret room with a Time Flute. Head out of The Under and back to the Shadow Pokemon Lab. It's about time to finally understand why this building is here. ========================== ~II 9. Shadow Pokemon Lab~ ========================== To the right of the main gate is a Key Slot. Put in the Main Gate Key. The doors in front of you are closed, so head to the open doors on the right side of the Lab. Head through the doors next to you when you get inside and push "A" next to the computer with a purple screen. It'll ask if you want to push the button. Do so, and those other doors will open. Now, a gate is in front of you and you need the Card Key to open it up. Head to the other side of the lab and go through it until you find a Researcher. He's guarding the Card Key. Go figure? Most of the Reaserchers in the Lab use Electric Pokemon, bring some Ground Types for an easy victory. Researcher Myron Voltorb Lv. 38 Voltorb Lv. 38 Earthquake, anyone? He'll leave, so grab the Card Key lying on the table. Head to the other side of the Lab and use the Key on the door. Head up and into the Elevator. BTW, the only PC in the Lab was in the other room, refer to it when you Snag a Pokemon. In order to reach the boss of the Shadow Pokemon Lab you must enter a 3-Pokemon Code. Those 3 Pokemon in the code have their DNA samples hidden throughout the Lab. There are 9 possible places for 1 sample. I'll tell you all 9 Potential DNA sample locations when we pass them. They will appear as glowing circles at their locations. If you see nothing sparkle, that location doesn't have a DNA sample in your playthrough. Anyways, head to the left, through the doors until a Peon falls from the ceiling. Cipher Peon Cole Furret Lv. 37 Remoraid Lv. 39 Castform Lv. 41 Aipom Lv. 43 (Shadow Pokemon) That Aipom usually hates going into Snag Balls. Maybe because of its tail? Anyways, after the battle head back to the right. This is Location #1 for a DNA sample. Head down the Elevator. A Researcher will greet you with a battle. Researcher Odlow Magnemite Lv. 39 Magneton Lv. 39 Electrode Lv. 39 Electrode will use Self-Destruct when at Low HP. Don't let that happen. Head down and on the table is Location #2 for a possible DNA sample. Now, head upstairs for another battle. Researcher Coren Magnemite Lv. 39 Magneton Lv. 40 Electrode Lv. 39 Same battle practically. He'll leave. Head to the table in the room and grab the Down St. Key, which unlocks a door previously blocking your path. Trudge back through the lab until you get to a Black Door. Use the key on it. Now, another Peon would like to battle. Cipher Peon Lare Nuzleaf Lv. 38 Houndour Lv. 38 Carvanha Lv. 38 Murkrow Lv. 38 (Shadow Pokemon) Ground type attacks until Murkrow. She has really bad stats so strong attacks are likely to kill her fast. Head down and then to the left. Through the door you'll see 2 open cages. Inside each one are location #3 and #4 for possible DNA samples. After exploring, continue heading down. Another trainer will see you and fight. Cipher Peon Vana Zubat Lv. 40 Swablu Lv. 40 Pupitar Lv. 40 Forretress Lv. 40 (Shadow Pokemon) Yep, damn Forretress is Snaggable. I know we all love him right? What a wall. Well, anyways it's an easy fight, better than Researchers. Now, head into the Elevator near her and coming out, head to the left where another kind Peon would love to battle. Cipher Peon Lesar Ariados Lv. 43 (Shadow Pokemon) Grovyle Lv. 40 Rhyhorn Lv. 40 Fire and Water types make this easy. Ariados isn't one of those hard Snagable Pokemon so it'll go down fast... Head through the doors. Locations #5 and #6 are in here for Possible DNA samples. Head back to the right and go up, where you'll go though some doors into a strange room. Locations #7 and #8 are here for possible DNA samples. Head bak to the right where can probably guess you'll be ambushed. Cipher Peon Tanie Linnoone Lv. 38 Granbull Lv. 43 (Shadow Pokemon) Vigoroth Lv. 39 Fighting will destroy this team. Granbull is a pain. It has high attack stats so it will put the hurt on you if you don't Snag him fast. Head to the right of the 2 Elevators. This is the last place, Location #9 for a possible DNA sample. If you've gotton your 3 DNA samples, head into the right Elevator. It'll take you to this machine to analyze the DNA samples. Remember the 3 Pokemon that come up. Now, head back to the 2 Elevators and take the left one, and now this is the final stretch! A Researcher will attack you here. Researcher Kotan Ampharos Lv. 42 Magneton Lv. 40 Electrode Lv. 42 And another one bites the Magnitude 10.0! After the battle, the Researcher will trip an alarm and sirens will go off, and he will say there's no escaping the Lab! As if. You can still just manually go out the way you came in. What great security! Up ahead, a Peon heard the alarm. Now you're gonna have yet another battle. Cipher Peon Remil Kadabra Lv. 42 Swellow Lv. 43 Kecleon Lv. 43 Vibrava Lv. 43 (Shadow Pokemon) There's no need to explaining battles, think for yourself! It's not hard. Now, the gate infront of you is locked, and you need to enter the key of 3 Pokemon. Guess what those 3 Pokemon are? Yep, the ones in the DNA samples. Enter them in any order and the door will open. A rematch with Skrub will commence. Cipher Peon Skrub Graveler Lv. 44/Hitmontop Lv. 38 (Shadow Pokemon) (Depending if you caught Hitmontop or not) Medicham Lv. 41 Wobbuffet Lv. 42 Clamperl Lv. 43 Well, Wobbuffet, if guessing Mirror Coat or Counter correctly, will seriously put the pain on you. Hitmontop, if missed earlier, is back up for grabs. It's much easier to Snag now, isn't it? Head down the stairs in front of you. The maker of the Shadow Pokemon, Cheif Ein, will battle you, naturally. Cipher Admin Cheif Ein Golbat Lv. 48 Huntail Lv. 47 Lanturn Lv. 47 Altaria Lv. 46 Raikou Lv. 40 (Shadow Pokemon) My god. Jumping up 5 levels, this is one hellhole fight. Ein, out of the four bosses, uses the most evil and painful technique. Rain Dance/ Thunder combo. Thunder always hits in a Rainstorm. Bring Ground Types to stop this pain. 3/5 of his team are weak to Electric so bring a Pokemon with Thunder to take advantage of the Rain as well. You can catch the last legendary beast here, Raikou. He's underleveled compared to the rest of Ein's team. That doesn't mean he is any easier to catch, though. After the battle, he'll leave so grab the Data ROM from the desk and TM 26, Earthquake from the box. Take the Elevator for a quick shortcut back to the entrance. Take the Data ROM to Nett in The Under. He'll say the ROM had the list of all Shadow Pokemon on it, but Ein wiped it out. He'll try to recover it. For now, we have something far more important. The Construction Site has finished, so if you're ready, let's head to Realgam Tower! ====================== ~II 10. Realgam Tower~ ====================== Snazzy, eh? The actual Tower is way in the back. To get there you must go through the mazy Rail Network. Sadly, the door to the Tower is locked hard, and to open it you need 4 Keys, which are retrieved by our favorite 4 bosses we already put to rest! As you enter the first Dome, take the door to the right. There, is the infamous Miror B. Cipher Admin Miror B. Ludicolo Lv. 44 Ludicolo Lv. 45 Golduck Lv. 45 Loudred Lv. 46 Sudowoodo Lv. 35 (Shadow Pokemon)/Armaldo Lv. 43 (Depending if you caught him before). He changed his team to make it really easy to win. Half his team goes down to Electric attacks, focus on those. Catch Sudowoodo if you didn't before. For defeating him, you will recieve the Red ID Badge, 1 of 4 badges to enter the Tower. Head to the main Dome and head up. This Dome has a PC and Health Restoring machine. To use them, you have to fight the old man near it, disguised as a Peon. Cipher Peon Bopen Seviper Lv. 40 Dustox Lv. 39 Grimer Lv. 39 Psychic. 'Nuff said. Save and heal if needed and head back to the main Dome. This time, head through the right door and then the up door in the next Dome. Here's Dakim, all ready for a rematch. Cipher Admin Dakim Claydol Lv. 46 Forretress Lv. 45 Whiscash Lv. 46 Flygon Lv. 46 Entei Lv. 40 (Shadow Pokemon)/Houndoom Lv. 47 (Depending if you caught him or not). Dakim will still use Earthquake, but almost never use Protect. Most of his Pokemon know the Ability Levitate, making Ground attacks miss. Water and Fire will easily take down his team again, just be careful when weakening Entei again if you missed him. He's damn useful in Realgam Tower. After his defeat you will earn the Green ID Badge, 2 out of 4 Badges closer to getting into the Tower. Head to heal and save and head to the Dome left of it. Then go up. 2 Peons are there. Battle them to unlock the doors. We'll do the right one for now, as a prize lies on it's other side. Cipher Peon Arton Glalie Lv. 42 Piloswine Lv. 42 Delibird Lv. 45 (Shadow Pokemon) Fire-type attacks will destroy this weak Peon. Take out the other trainer because it's easy now. Cipher Peon Baila Gloom Lv. 41 Jumpluff Lv. 42 Sunflora Lv. 45 (Shadow Pokemon) More Flamethrower usage. Still shouldn't be too hard. Sunflora can be highly annoying if you're trying to keep it alive to catch it. It will use some annoying attacks, so use some Full Heals to keep yourself healthy if need be. Head to the right and you'll see a big gold door with a Red, blue, green, and yellow Pokeballs on its sides. Put the Badges into their respective slots. When all 4 Pokeballs are activated, the door will open. For now, head to the right Dome then head up. Chief Ein is there, ready to battle you once again! Cipher Admin Cheif Ein Crobat Lv. 49 Pelipper Lv. 49 Rhydon Lv. 50 Starmie Lv. 49 Raikou Lv. 40 (Shadow Pokemon)/Manectric Lv. 50 (Depending if you caught him first time around) Damn. Rhydon and Pelliper enjoy coming out together, as Rhydon's Lightningrod Ability takes Electric attacks for him, making them useless. Keep exploiting those weaknesses and try to Snag Raikou this time around, you won't get another chance until much later. Killing off Rhydon first is the key to this battle. After winning he'll give you the Yellow ID Badge, Badge 3 of 4 to enter the Tower. You will now get an E-Mail from Eagun, stating it's his first E-Mail, but it gets cut off. Head back to Agate Village and talk to him. He'll hand you the valuable Master Ball (why is a mystery) and say to stop Cipher. Head back and to the Dome left of the Gold door, head up. Venus is there holding the last badge. Cipher Admin Venus Misdreavus Lv. 47 Wigglytuff Lv. 48 Raichu Lv. 48 Bellossom Lv. 47 Suicune Lv. 40 (Shadow Pokemon)/Milotic Lv. 48 (Depending if you Snagged him or not) Boy, what a diverse team! Your only way out is switch for STAB and a type advantage and weakness for them, or just attack with full power. It's your choice. Suicune is easily captured with some Net Balls, buy some if you haven't Snagged him just yet. Milotic is absurdly annoying if you do have to fight him. Milotic has a tendency to never die after a ton of attacks. Get both your Pokemon to team up against it, hopefully taking it down in two attacks. Once defeated she'll hand over the Blue ID Badge. Put all four badges into their respective slots and the Gold door will be unlocked. Before you can continue, you must defeat yet another Peon. Sheesh, they must stop! Cipher Peon Dioge Ariados Lv. 41 Heracross Lv. 45 (Shadow Pokemon) Masquerain Lv. 42 They are begging you to flame broil them for dinner. Let's not keep them waiting. Heracross's Megahorn will seriously hurt you, it's an awesome attack. Snag if possible. Brute strength may be the way to go later on pretty soon. Now head through the door and you'll ride the rail's to the base of Realgam Tower. The welcoming party tells you that your the 1000th guest here, as if! They opened today. So let's have a battle to make him keep quiet. Bandana Guy Klest Lombre Lv. 42 Graveler Lv. 42 Hariyama Lv. 42 Must I explain every little battle? I have no strategy for this one, as he is too easy to say much else. The base of the Tower has a lot of trainers. Talk to the lady at the desk for money, and a battle (win money afterwards). Hunter Aline Metang Lv. 39 Larion Lv. 41 Mawile Lv. 40 Another team that is weak to all Fire-type attacks. Uh, anyways to the left of her is another crappy trainer wanting to battle you. St. Performer Luper Feraligatr Lv. 40 Seadra Lv. 39 Qwilfish Lv. 40 Octillery Lv. 39 Man, they really want to give you an advantage! Thunderbolt wins it here. To the right of the desk is a door. A trainer ambushes you when opened. Bodybuilder Givern Wigglytuff Lv. 43 Loudred Lv. 45 Bumping up the Pokemon several levels shouldn't be too much of a hassle to deal with. Inside the Dining Room is another trainer. Rider Elose Cradily Lv. 40 Noctowl Lv. 39 Chimecho Lv. 40 Swalot Lv. 39 Something diverse. Type weaknesses, keep thinking about that main factor! Back to the other side of the desk goi through the door into a casino for some big bucks, that is from trainers, though. Chaser Trus Machoke Lv. 40 Swellow Lv. 40 Magneton Lv. 40 Ninetales Lv. 40 Same thing with the previous battle, exploit weaknesses. Rider Kevel Sandslash Lv. 40 Quagsire Lv. 41 Donphan Lv. 40 Grass is your one way ticket to kicking his team into the ground. At the back desk is a Shopkeeper, but disguised as one at least. He's the Mystery Troop you met in Phenac so if you missed your chance at Snagging then, here's another chance! Mystery Troop Rosso/Bluno/Verde Quilava/Croconaw/Bayleef Lv. 30 (Shadow Pokemon) Muk Lv. 45 Grumpig Lv. 44 Yep, the rematch. Q/C/B will be replaced by something else if you Snagged them already. Well, that's all the trainers on the Main Floor. Go back to the desk and talk to the dude in the tuxedo. He'll say he's actually Silva and tell you he snuck in here to help you. Head into the Elevator to go to the second floor. On the Second Floor, you'll be confronted by Nascour. Funny, way back in Phenac City he said you'd meet up again. He was right. He'll escape in one of the two Elevators. To the left of the Elevator you just came out of is a room that has a healing center and a PC. To use the healing machine you must beat another trainer. Chaser Rugen Vigoroth Lv. 41 Shelgon Lv. 40 Pfft, and he said he was strong too. Now, head up the stairs to the left Elevator that Nascour didn't take. It's gone, too! But wait. It's coming down, and out comes your old boss Gonzap. He's quite pissed off at you for destroying their Hideout AND taking the Snag Machine. Well, it appears he's come for a little payback, and before you do, he'll explain that Team Snagem actually works for Cipher. How did they get all the Snag Machines? Cipher. Now, cause you ruined Gonzap's reputation, it's a nice re-union right? Team Snagem Head Gonzap Shiftry Lv. 53 Hariyama Lv. 53 Pinsir Lv. 52 Crawdaunt Lv. 52 Skarmory Lv. 47 (Shadow Pokemon) Yep, high levels, really strong attcks, loves to use Hyper Beam, what more could you ask for out of a boss? He is pretty difficult with his high levels (I mean come on! 53!? How annoying) but really, it's quite easy assuming you have a pretty diverse team. Anyways, Skarmory is an annoying bugger to Snag, don't bother now unless you have the chance to single it out and aren't getting too much damage taken from it. Avoid fire attacks, they're pretty much instant death to our winged friend. He'll move aside for you to enter the Elevator now. Go back to heal and save if necessary. When you get off the Elevator your on top of Realgam Tower; it's Colosseum. Nascour, quite pissed at you for ruining his plan, wants to see you battle the next 4 trainers, all in a row, without getting healed inbetween. It's hard, it's tough. Not really, though. But for your infomation, this is Nintendo's way of saying the Elite 6. All 6 trainers your about to face all have Shadow Pokemon. Let's go to the battling now! Bodybuilder Jomas Porygon 2 Lv. 45 Miltank Lv. 48 (Shadow Pokemon, will ALWAYS be female) Zangoose Lv. 45 Uh huh, they wanna enter a boxing match. They want you to win, though. Fighting will do the trick here! Miltank is always female so don't worry about having to reset over and over if you're worrying about a male. Rider Delan Mightyena Lv. 46 Absol Lv. 48 (Shadow Pokemon) Sharpedo Lv. 47 Fighting or Bug, your choice for an easy victory. Absol isn't too hard to catch, and fortunatly for you, it's Special Attack is crap so it's Dark attacks will not hurt you so much. It does though, know Feint Attack, which is one of it's Egg Moves, saving you some time on breeding in Ru/Sa. Cipher Peon Nella Torkoal Lv. 47 Houndoom Lv. 48 (Shadow Pokemon) Magcargo Lv. 46 Yeah, should be easy with any Water-type or Ground attack. This trainer, all the trainers, has no idea what what a balanced team is. Catch a female Houndoom for breeding if you want to. Cipher Peon Ston Cacturne Lv. 49 Tropius Lv. 48 (Shadow Pokemon) Vileplume Lv. 48 Cradily Lv. 48 I wonder if Cipher even teaches it's Peons how to make a halfway decent team. They don't do a good job, it seems. Tropius will do Fly mostly the whole match so make sure all your Grass, Fighting, and Bug types are put away. Weaken with water. OK, you beat the 4 trainers, now your fully healed again. Now, Nascour come out and the audience starts "boo"ing like crazy. Time to fight the big boss of Cipher! Cipher Nascour Blaziken Lv. 54 Walrein Lv. 56 Dusclops Lv. 55 Xatu Lv. 54 Gardevoir Lv. 55 Metagross Lv. 50 (Shadow Pokemon) Well, it's about time someone has a decent team. He has one blaring team that combines most types. This is one hell of a hard fight. The only thing I can really say to you would be to just exploit his weaknesses and fight strong and hard. Don't be afraid to use items. Nascour, will usually power up his Pokemon with "X" items (IE:X Attack, X Defense, etc.) which will in turn easily hurt you. Metagross is 1 of 2 Pokemon you should consider using the Masterball on. He's a real pain to catch normally. After the battle Nascour will hang his head in defeat. Then someone says he should of done better and he apologizes. What? We all thought he was the head of Cipher! Yeah, that isn't true. Turns out that loopy mayor of Phenac City actually was the head of Cipher. Figures, never did anything about the Shadow Pokemon problem...Anyways, he reaveals himself to be the Fat Crazy Insane Guy know as Evice. Let's kick finish the final boss! Cipher Head Evice Slowking Lv. 61 Slaking Lv. 60 Scizor Lv. 60 Machamp Lv. 61 Salamence Lv. 60 Tyranitar Lv. 55 (Shadow Pokemon) 5 levels higher than Nascour. If you though he was tough, Evice will be the topping on hardest boss for now. He'll start off with X items usually and when his HP is low he will use Hyper Potions. If Slaking and Slowking (Hah, two kings!) are both out together at the same time, Slowking will use Skill Swap on Slaking, allowing Slaking, with it's almighty Attack power, to attack every turn (it's Truant ability only allowed it to attack every other turn). If this does happen, focus all your attacks on Slaking. Tyranitar is the other Pokemon you should consider using the Master Ball on, especially if your not up to the task of catching a Level 55 bemoth! It's really all up to you. After the battle, Evice stands there quite pissed off, Rui and Wes say the plan's over, then the two officers from Pyrite come, then Duking and Silva, then Eagun and Pikachu. 8 against 2, what's he gonna do? Pushing his secret button, he orders a helicopter to pick him up. Just then, you hear a Pokemon cry, and a big blast of fire comes down and shoots the helicopter. Ho-oh appears and everyone gazes at it, they're all impressed at it's beautifulness and stuff. Then you got the credits and after the credits you have the option to save your progress. Say yes, of course! There's still the matter of Snagging the rest of the Shadow Pokemon, let's do that right now! ============================ ~II 11. Team Snagem Hideout~ ============================ You'll reappear in the Outskirt Stand. Yay for you. You'll get an E-Mail. Head to the Under and talk to Nett saying that people from all over will tell you about Shadow Pokemon. Head to Pyrite Town and go behind the bookcase again. (Remember how? Duking's house. Button on right side). Talk to Secc and he will say the Cail battled a guy with a Shadow Pokemon. Talk to Cail, and battle him. Since after beating the game you should be at a high level, he should go down quite easily. He'll have his Machamp, Granbull, Gardevoir, and Furret (If Snagged will be replaced) around Lv. 50. By now, you should be able to kick his team around easily. He'll say that the guy with the Shadow Pokemon ran off to somewhere called "Team Snagem's Hideout". It opens up on the map. Let's go! Okay, inside you will find a PC. Joy. Now head up into a square like area. Here, six Cipher Peon's will continue to repeat themselves and battle you. To make them stop, capture all of their Shadow Pokemon. The ones fought in the Rail System at Regalm Tower will be here, so will Skrub with Hitmontop. Once you have caught the Shadow Pokemon of all of the trainers in this square, the Peons will stop falling and you can pass without being hindered. Get past the area and head up the stairs. You'll get an E-Mail that a trainer here with a Shadow Pokemon has a Shadow Quilava/Bayleaf/Croconaw (It will be the one the starter you chose at the beginning is strong against) is here. From here, it's all playing navigate the Hideout. All the trainers here are optional to battle, do it if necessary. When you see a huge Snag Machine with Pokeballs near it, pick them up (They are 5 Ultra Balls). Head down and Viola! The Mystery Troop is there. Battle! Mystery Troop Rosso/Verde/Bluno Quilava/Bayleef/Croconaw (The one you chose at the begining's strong point) (Shadow Pokemon) Lv. 30 Muk Lv. 55 Grumpig Lv. 54 Camerupt Lv. 53 The starter will almost always come out first. If you wanna breed it for more, I suggest aiming for a female. Easy battle really since Evice was harder. Takes care of him and he'll run off. Head out the exit conviently next to him. Let's leave. Now head to Pyrite for E-Mail! Go to the Under. Another E-Mail will come up. Go talk to Nett and he will say that Gurks (Guy outside of Junk Shop) saw a guy with a Shadow Pokemon. Battle him to spill the beans. Trainer Gurks Wailord Lv. 56 Wailord Lv. 56 ....don't use Electric. Won't hurt the the Water whale gods He'll say that another Mystery Troop headed toward the Shadow Pokemon Lab. Let's head there for another infestivity! ============================================= ~II 12. Secrets and Shadow Pokemon Rematches~ ============================================= To the Lab! The infestivity has restarted. You will do everything you did when previously here, only without the Scientists. All the Shadow Pokemon you missed are back up for grabs. There isn't a need to repeat the trainers since they haven't changed. Look back to the Pokemon Lab section for that, add about 20 levels, and most Pokemon have evolved, save the remaining Shadow Pokemon who haven't changed. Now, after trudging through that again, we will see the last Mystery Troop where Chief Ein once stood. Can't recall the Pokemon but as if it matters. Catch a female for breeding purposes! It is the G/S/C starter that the one you chose at the beginning of the game is strong against. Now, let's head back to Snagem Hideout! Save again. Now, the Cipher Peon's Shadow Pokemon should have been captured. Now, lurking the hallways are normal trainers that used to have Shadow Pokemon (And still do assuming you missed them). But from the PC, go head up through the Peon Playground and up the stairs. Go downa few steps and to the right and through the door. Head down the stairs and through the hallway and up the stairs at the end. You're in Gonzap's Office, and Gonzap is here, calling you a traitor for coming back. Now, let's have another manly battle. Snagem Head Gonzap Crawdaunt Lv. 64/Skarmory Lv. 47 (Shadow Pokemon, Crawdaunt replaces if already Snagged) Armaldo Lv. 64 Machamp Lv. 64 Breloom Lv. 64 Granbull Lv. 64 He abuses Hyper Beam to death. Not sure why, it's a crappy attack. Bring a Ghost type, you probably will need it unless you're strong enough to KO each of his Pokemon in like 1 turn. Not too hard, catch Skarmory if needed. You beat him, but a few last things to do in the Hideout. Grab the D-Disk on a table after you defeat him. Now, head back to where you fought the Mystery Troop here. 2 new trainers are in this area. Battle them and Snag their Shadow Pokemon Smeargle and Ursaring. Time to head back to The Under for a little fun. At the Under use the D-Disk to travel to Deep Colosseum! Near the big door for an entrance is a glittering object which is False Teeth. Head back up, and give them to the man near the entrance to Under Colosseum, and he'll gove you an L-Disk for thanks. Use it to get an Amulet Coin which doubles amount of money earned in battle if a Pokemon holding it is used. Head back to Deep Colosseum and enter. At round 4, the infamous boss Miror B. will challenge you, and will have Sudowoodo if was missed. Now, after winning you get a TM plus $20000 (40000 if Amulet Coin was used). Do another round at the Colosseum. Round 4 will pit you against Dakim. He'll have his Entei if you missed him before. Now, a second E-Mail pops up, it regards Deep King, champ of Deep Colosseum. He has a Shadow Pokemon too, but who? Now, enter for another round at Deep Colosseum. The fourth battle this time pits you against Venus, who will have Suicune if you couldn't Snag it before. Enter for another round of battles, fight four being Ein with Raikou if again, missed. Now, the past 2 E-Mails you recieved tell you all you need. Deep King Agnol has a Shadow Shuckle. There. Now, enter for 1 last round at Deep Colosseum, fight 4 being Deep King Agnol. His Shuckle has 212 for Defense and Sp. Defense, but a 10 in attack, Speed, and Sp. Att. Yeah, that's the crappyness of Shuckle for you. Let's just say Shadow Rush does more damage to him than you. Whittle down HP with care. If you happened to have caught all 47 Shadow Pokemon to right now, you have 1 to go! If you missed some, look at the list below to see where to get the rest. Now, you'll start getting E-Mails like crazy. Literally. They are telling about you becoming evil, attacking harmless people with a Shadow Togetic, and reports telling you to watch TV. Now. It will all lead you to end up in the Outskirt Stand, where you will see...yourself? Time to fight you! Shady Guy "Insert your name" Armaldo Lv. 68 Milotec Lv. 68 Manectric Lv. 68 Houndoom Lv. 68 Gyarados Lv. 68 Togetic Lv. 20 (o_O)(Shadow Pokemon) 5 Lv. 68 Pokemon can be hell. He wants to rip you apart, so good thing there is a trading center in the basement of Phenac's Pokemon center allowing you to trade with Ru/Sa. His Togetic is very weak, be VERY careful when Snagging it. CONGRAtUALTIONS! YOU HAVE SNAGGED ALL 48 POKEMON! The trading machine in Phenac's Pokemon Center Basement was open after beating Evice. Here is a list of where to see the Shadow Pokemon 2nd time around (and for some forever, however, some move after seeing 2nd time around so I dunno where they would be). ========================== ~Miss any Shadow Pokemon?~ ========================== There are 48 Shadow Pokemon, and unless you were extremly lucky the first time around, chances are you skipped a few or were just unable to catch them. Here is a list of all 48 Shadow Pokemon and their respective rebattle 2nd time, 3rd time etc. locations. And to calm your nerves, you have infinite chances to snag all Pokemon. Deal with it. Well, this concludes all of Story Mode! Now, just a lot to go with Colosseum Mode! However, one last place can be covered. This place is Mt. Battle. ========================================== ~II 13.Mt. Battle-Best source of training~ ========================================== Mt. Battle. You visited it halfway through Story Mode and had to fight through 10 trainers, it all ending with the battle with Dakim, remember? After you had access to the Under you could have come back to Mt. Battle, and actually take the entire challenge. I'm sure some of you did. If you didn't, here's what goes on in the Story Mode Mt. Battle (it differs from Colosseum Mode's Mt. Battle just so you know!) You start from Trainer Number 1, then win that battle to proceed to Battle 2. It's much easier, and faster paced than Colosseum Mode's Mt. Battle. Instead of picking 3 of your Pokemon before each battle (and same with your rival), you use all your party Pokemon. The rival's start with 2 Pokemon only, then as you reach higher areas, they begin to use 3, then 4, then 5, and trainer Number 100 uses 6. Here are the prize values: ######################### ##Area #|PokeCoupons ## ## 1|100 ## ## 2|200 ## ## 3|400 ## ## 4|600 ## ## 5|800 ## ## 6|800 ## ## 7|900 ## ## 8|900 ## ## 9|1000 ## ## 10|1200 ## ######################### To the right of the Mt. It's not too hard to earn the greater prizes. Mt. Battle works like this. You go into an Area. There are 10 Areas, with 10 trainers in each. After you defeat all 10 trainers you enter a Rest Station. In here there is a PC you can save in, and a man at a counter. Talk to him to recieve your PokeCoupons. You don't recieve penalties for using Legendaries, so don't worry about that. The first time you want to do a Mt. Battle challenge talk to the lady at the Mt. Battle registration counter and select "New Challenge". For every area you defeat, after quitting you select to start from there, or any other area you have beaten. Say I just beat Trainer 40 in area 4. I decide to quit Mt. Battle right now. When I come back I can instantly go to Areas 1, 2, 3, 4 or 5. Of course, the best thing Mt. Battle is for is for building up Levels. A quick go through of some areas and your Pokemon can easily Level Up. I'll state all their trainers, their Pokemon, and the amount of Experience they give out, since it's easy to go through Mt. Battle and pick all this info up. I don't know if the Exp. is for both battlers. Like if you defeat a Pokemon and get 60 Exp. for each Pokemon, I don't know if you get 120 if you had only 1 on the field. Ok, good luck! Another note is that in your P*DA, you have the display with the number of PokeCoupons accumulated. There is a colored Pokeball next to it. After you earn 2500 PokeCoupons, that Jade Pokeball changes to Bronze. After you've accumulated 5000 PokeCoupons that changes from Bronze to Silver. After you've accumulated 25000 PokeCoupons, that changes from Silver to Gold. You CAN spend PokeCoupons and still get Gold. Like you have 10000 and spend it all on something. After getting another 5000 you but another something. The after getting another 10000 Coupons, you get your Gold. Have fun! ========================================= ~Mt. Battle Area 1 Prize:100 PokeCoupons~ ========================================= At the Base of Mt. Battle, we begin our ascent to the very top. 100 trainers are in the way. For now it's easy, but it'll only get harder. There are 23 Pokemon to defeat, 100 PokeCoupons to be won, and their levels range between 15-20. =Trainer #1================= |Cooltrainer Stum | |Taillow Lv.16 Exp.:100 | | | |Hoothoot Lv.15 Exp.:93 | ============================ This guy thinks he is so cool. So let's put him on ice shall we? Of course, seeing as this is the first battle, I really pity you if you actually have problems defeating him. =Trainer #2================= |Rich Boy Cyus | |Hoppip Lv.16 Exp.:126 | | | |Sunkern Lv.15 Exp.:82 | ============================ Unless idiocy is rippling through your mind I think using Fire attacks would be the best idea, either that or Ice type attacks. Either one works wonders. =Trainer #3================= |Researcher Mort | |Igglybuff Lv.17 Exp.:70 | | | |Electrike Lv.17 Exp.:189| ============================ This time around, Ground types have an advantage, so it wouldn't be too bad to pull out a Pokemon knowing Earthquake or another Ground attack. Of course, this is only Lv.17 Pokemon were dealing with, why on earth would you bother switching? Anything will do. =Trainer #4================= |Lady Auro | |Sentret Lv.18 Exp.:97 | | | |Azurill Lv.17 Exp.:60 | ============================ This trainer actually has some mixed varity. Still, only at Battle 4, the Pokemon are mediocre and low level. So, still an easy victory but low Exp. =Trainer #5================= |Cooltrainer Lehan | |Vulpix Lv.16 Exp.:121 | | | |Togepi Lv.16 Exp.:126 | ============================ 96 trainers go and yay this is too easy. I mean really, must I explain what any old attack will do? I think you can handle yourselves, he's too easy. =Trainer #6================= |Roller Boy Pera | |Zubat Lv.17 Exp.:97 | | | |Magikarp Lv.18 Exp.:37 | ============================ Prepare to be in an epic battle once Magikarp takes the field. It's a Magikarp for goodness sake! All it ever uses is Splash. And don't get me started on how easy that Zubat is. =Trainer #7================= |Teacher Nevie | |Swinub Lv.18 Exp:157 | | | |Poochyena Lv.17 Exp.:99 | ============================ This teacher will teach you what the thrill of beating a loser is. The loser being her. Just don't use Psychic attacks on Poochyena. Should be fairly obvious why. =Trainer #8================= |Athlete Rinos | |Trapinch Lv.19 Exp.:148 | | | |Wooper Lv.19 Exp.:99 | ============================ Trapinch, chances are, will use Sandstorm when he gets the chance. Unless you want to Toxicate him to death, I see no reason why you should even let him get close to using that attack. =Trainer #9================= |Fun Old Lady Anges | |Ralts Lv.20 Exp.:150 | | | |Duskull Lv.19 Exp.:196 | ============================ Well, now we got ourselves some Lv.20 Ghost type paired with a Psychic type. Meh, forget all type weaknesses and go for him with anything. Like before, 1 turn is all you will need. =Trainer #10================ |Area Leader Vander | |Zigzagoon Lv.19 Exp.:115 | | | |Whismur Lv.20 Exp.:145 | | | |Skitty Lv.19 Exp.:132 | | | |Slakoth Lv.19 Exp.:168 | | | |Jigglypuff Lv.20 Exp.:162| ============================ For those of you with a vauge mind and can't remember who Vander is, you saved him from Dakim a while ago on this very platform. He said he'd love to meet your challenge, and he, to the point is, very pathetic. All Area Leaders have 5 Pokemon, and his are all Normal types, not to mention their low levels. Whoop his Pokemon and move on to the Rest Station. Don't forget to save and collect your PokeCoupons. ========================================= ~Mt. Battle Area 2 Prize:200 PokeCoupons~ ========================================= We're still at the base of Mt. Battle, all the green and lush grass growing on the mountain, but it still isn't much tougher than Area 1 was, and their levels are still quite low, so there isn't much to worry about. There are 200 PokeCoupons to be won, 25 Pokemon to defeat, and their levels range between 20-25. =Trainer #11================ |Fun Old Lady Gelvin | |Pichu Lv.20 Exp.:90 | | | |Wynaut Lv.20 Exp.:93 | ============================ Well, this battle marks the start of Area 2, not much different from Area 1, right? Proceed to own her Pokemon any way you like, I mean their levels are so low it doesn't matter. =Trainer #12================ |Roller Boy Pabe | |Zubat Lv.20 Exp.:111 | | | |Whismur Lv.21 Exp.:153 | | | |Grimer Lv.21 Exp.:202 | ============================ Sure, this guy may have 3 Pokemon, but any Psychic attack will make quick work of all of his Pokemon, except Whismur who enjoys using Uproar, a silly and weak attack. =Trainer #13================ |Athlete Caden | |Barboach Lv.22 Exp.:216 | | | |Beldum Lv.21 Exp.:231 | ============================ Any old grass attack will work fine for a Super Effective hit against Barboach, and as for that Beldum, smoke it with flames before his Take Down makes short work of himself. =Trainer #14================ |Rich Boy Lond | |Seedot Lv.22 Exp.:174 | | | |Lotad Lv.21 Exp.:166 | ============================ Bringing out out 2 Grass types was a pretty bad idea, except he's number 14 so the trainers are still weak. I think a Fire attack, like before, should be the best way to go, and even though Lotad is part Water, you should be fine. =Trainer #15================ |Athelete Albac | |Sandshrew Lv.22 Exp.:219 | | | |Geodude Lv.23 Exp.:211 | ============================ This time the Type advantage you want to match is changed to Water or Grass, so pretty much any attack from those types will make short work of this guy who wishes to own you. =Trainer #16================ |Lady Eloos | |Marill Lv.22 Exp.:136 | | | |Jigglypuff Lv.23 Exp.:186 | ============================ An Electric attack and a Fighting attack makes this battle very easy, and of course I think it was supposed to be easy because she's another one of those pathetic trainers. =Trainer #17================ |Fun Old Man Metz | |Shuppet Lv.23 Exp.:238 | | | |Abra Lv.23 Exp.:178 | ============================ A Ghost type and a Psychic type, I do believe it's time to just plain unleash some whoop ass on her, unless your Pokemon are very weak, then a Dark type would be the best choice to smash both of her Pokemon. =Trainer #18================ |Researcher Roeck | |Mareep Lv.23 Exp.:144 | | | |Voltorb Lv.23 Exp.:253 | | | |Magnetmite Lv.24 Exp.:228 | ============================ Just incase you didn't know, all Researchers are quite fond of Electric attacks, and this one is no different. Use something of Earthquake or anything else to that degree, just don't attack any of them directly with Physical attacks, as they may Paralyze you from their abilities. =Trainer #19================ |Teacher Vona | |Carvanha Lv.25 Exp.:235 | | | |Spheal Lv.24 Exp.:192 | ============================ Because both of this Teachers' Pokemon are Water types, she gets her permit by teaching you that Water is one big Electric magnet. Fry all of her Pokemon and move to the next battle. =Trainer #20================ |Area Leader Arth | |Pineco Lv.25 Exp.:160 | | | |Ledyba Lv.25 Exp.:144 | | | |Surskit Lv.25 Exp.:168 | | | |Nincada Lv.24 Exp.:166 | | | |Anorith Lv.24 Exp.:306 | ============================ This Area Leader has all Bug types, making them prime targets to some Fire type attacks. If Entei of Typhlosion is with you at this time, I suggest that their Fire attacks will make quick roast out of Arth's team. You cleared Area 2! Well done. Head into the Rest Station and Save if you want to, and don't forget to collect your PokeCoupons! Area 3 is up next, are you ready? ========================================= ~Mt. Battle Area 3 Prize:400 PokeCoupons~ ========================================= Area 3 is still at the base of Mt. Battle. Of course, it won't be this way for very long, so enjoy the luscious green landscape and try not to die, of course how can you when it comes to these stats: Pokemon to Defeat:26 Pokemon Levels:25-30 PokeCoupons:400 This isn't too hard unless you have pretty weak Pokemon, so keep an eye out if you do and do your best! =Trainer #21================ |Guy Gris | |Silcoon Lv.25 Exp.:189 | | | |Cascoon Lv.26 Exp.:199 | | | |Wurmple Lv.25 Exp.:144 | ============================ For those of you who are bad at Pokemon knowledge, Cascoon and Silcoon are Bug Type Pokemon and are both evolved forms of Wurmple. Their evolution is random, but anyways Fire can easily bring down this guy who should be a Bug Catcher, but Cascoon and Silcoon use pretty much only Harden. Wurmple like to use String Shot and those non-damaging attacks can make this a very easy battle. =Trainer #22================ |Fun Old Lady Desla | |Kirlia Lv.26 Exp.:390 | | | |Kirlia Lv.25 Exp.:375 | ============================ Oh the times I bet she had rasing the Kirlia's, both of these Psychic type Pokemon will usually only use Confusion on you, and this makes Umbreon's job much easier. They have quite a lot of HP, but this is still pretty easy no matter what level you are at. =Trainer #23================ |Bobybuilder Eisen | |Sandshrew Lv.25 Exp.:249 | | | |Aron Lv.26 Exp.:267 | | | |Phanpy Lv.26 Exp.:345 | ============================ I will pretty much say this now, most trainers like to use only 1 type of Pokemon, in this case it would be Ground types. Grass attacks or Water typed attacks will easily do the trick here, but there are still many more battles to go. =Trainer #24================ |Cooltrainer Bedro | |Bagon Lv.26 Exp.:247 | | | |Wingull Lv.26 Exp.:177 | ============================ Bagon is a Dragon type, so if you happen to have Dragon type atacks on your team (and I doubt you do) then my only other suggestion would be attack with Ice type attacks. Or at high levels anything will do, seeing as this is quite an easy battle either way. Wingull can be brought down using only Electric attacks the fastest. Or, like before, anything will do. =Trainer #25================ |Roller Boy Grel | |Gulpin Lv.26 Exp.:208 | | | |Oddish Lv.27 Exp.:255 | ============================ Both of these Pokemon are part Grass and part Poison. So basically any Fire type attack will work just fine. Or use anything else beides Water, and you should move on to the next battle. =Trainer #26================ |Teacher Loden | |Houndour Lv.28 Exp.:342 | | | |Larvitar Lv.28 Exp.:186 | ============================ Like the many teachers before her, she will teach you the real meaning of kicking someone's Pokemon into the ground. Grab a Pokemon with Water Type attacks and this battle will be over in a heartbeat. =Trainer #27================ |Fun Old Man Taryn | |Natu Lv.27 Exp.:210 | | | |Duskull Lv.28 Exp.:291 | ============================ Natu is Psychic/Flying and Duskull is Ghost. Well, I would take in a Psychic type and an Electric type so this battle isn't very hard. =Trainer #28================ |Glasses Man Solek | |Machop Lv.27 Exp.:253 | | | |Slakoth Lv.28 Exp.:249 | | | |Zigzagoon Lv.29 Exp.:186 | ============================ Machop is pretty easy to defeat, just simply use a Psychic type attack assuming you have any. Slakoth can go down by a strong Fighting type attack, don't forget that its Truant ability kicks in every other turn, though. Zigzagoon the way it is can be defeated very easily, making not too difficult of a battle. =Trainer #29================ |Athlete Wina | |Mawile Lv.29 Exp.:304 | | | |Geodude Lv.29 Exp.:258 | ============================ A Fire type attack can easily put Mawile to rest. Then any Grass type attack or Water type attack can rush over Geodude for a kill. Her name is funny though. "Wina"? Yeah, right. =Trainer #30================ |Area Leader Kenson | |Surskit Lv.30 Exp.:202 | | | |Corphish Lv.29 Exp.:343 | | | |Goldeen Lv.30 Exp.:355 | | | |Horsea Lv.29 Exp.:256 | | | |Staryu Lv.29 Exp.:318 | ============================ This battle is way to easy. I mean, just look at his freaking team! All of them are Water Type Pokemon! If you have a Pokemon with any Electric attack, any one at all (except Thunder Wave or something to that extent) then this battle is way too easy. Even if you don't have a Pokemon with an Electric attack, this is still an easy battle if you have Grass type attacks. Even further, the levels are still pretty low. Shouldn't be too much trouble. After this battle, head into the Rest Station and collect your PokeCoupons and Save the game if you want to. Before you entered the station, you may have noticed the path turning inside a hole. The landscape is about to make a big change. ========================================= ~Mt. Battle Area 4 Prize:600 PokeCoupons~ ========================================= And now we enter Area 4! You're now inside of Mt. Battle, which is now revealed to be an active (sorta) volcano! With the platforms above hot lava, bubbling at every move, and 10 more trainers to go until the next Rest Station, we should get started. Here are Area 4's statistics: Total Pokemon to Defeat:25 Pokemon Levels:23-35 PokeCoupons to be won:600 Yes, I know there are some weak levels, but there are only 2 Pokemon below Lv.30. There is plenty of Experience to be won, so let's get started! Also note that the Battle Theme is that of when you battle Cipher Peon's! =Trainer #31================ |Lady In Suit Malla | |Slakoth Lv.30 Exp.:265 | | | |Togepi Lv.31 Exp.:244 | ============================ Both of Malla's Pokemon are Normal types, so a strong Fighting type attack should do the trick. Remember about Slakoth, even though his Truant limits his attacks to every other turn, he has very high Attack and can put the mean pound on your team. =Trainer #32================ |Cooltrainer Herton | |Doduo Lv.31 Exp.:318 | | | |Taillow Lv.30 Exp.:189 | ============================ Both of Herton's Pokemon are Flying Types, so this leaves Electric attacks all in open range. Go right ahead and fry her Pokemon, she really doesn't like having a good team. =Trainer #33================ |Fun Old Man Higson | |Corphish Lv.30 Exp.:355 | | | |Natu Lv.30 Exp.:234 | ============================ Corphish is a Water Type, and Natu is a Flying Type, both of them are excellant Lightning Rod's to an Electric type attack. Fry them just like in the previous battle. =Trainer #34================ |Fun Old Lady Allow | |Clamperl Lv.31 Exp.:471 | | | |Abra Lv.30 Exp.:234 | ============================ To tackle Allow's Abra, I best reccomend a Dark type Pokemon, like Umbreon. Clamperl can be taken down with Electric attacks, no surprise there. She allows you to win easily. =Trainer #35================ |Glasses Man Delot | |Voltorb Lv.23 Exp.:253 | | | |Magnetmite Lv.24 Exp.:228 | ============================ Both of Delot's Pokemon are Electric Types, so this makes Earthquake quite a nice job here. Of course, they are at really low Levels, so don't worry about needing really strong moves. =Trainer #36================ |Rich Boy Diek | |Corphish Lv.31 Exp:226 | | | |Shroomish Lv.31 Exp.:197 | ============================ Heh, his name is so offensive! But anyways, a good Fire Type attack can easily bring down Shroomish and an Electric attack can fry Corphish. What a pathetic battle. =Trainer #37================ |Roller Boy Warl | |Shroomish Lv.32 Exp.:222 | | | |Cacnea Lv.32 Exp.:331 | ============================ Both of Warl's Pokemon are part Grass, this makes it easy for any Fire type attack to roast them into submission. Either way, you can also do any old attack seeing they are very easy. =Trainer #38================ |Guy Rone | |Anorith Lv.33 Exp.:420 | | | |Volbeat Lv.32 Exp.:499 | | | |Pineco Lv.33 Exp.:211 | | | |Illumise Lv.32 Exp.:499 | ============================ Volbeat and Illumise are both Bug, Pineco is part Steel, all of which Fire can easily roast. As for Anorith, he is part Bug as well, so any Fire attack dominates in this battle. =Trainer #39================ |Cooltrainer Neira | |Bagon Lv.34 Exp.:324 | | | |Numel Lv.33 Exp.:310 | ============================ Neira has a Dragon type Bagon, so your best bet would be to go with an Ice Type attack. Numel is Ground and Fire so a Water Type attack will make him dead sooner than you think. =Trainer #40================ |Area Leader Trinch | |Barboach Lv.34 Exp.:334 | | | |Phanpy Lv.35 Exp.:465 | | | |Rhyhorn Lv.35 Exp.:505 | | | |Nosepass Lv.34 Exp.:393 | | | |Lileep Lv.34 Exp.:439 | ============================ Trinch actually has a diverse team, surprisingly. Rhyhorn and Barboach both can easily go down with a Grass Type attack, Lileep is super weak against an Ice Type attack, Nosepass can by roasted with a Fire Type attack, and Phanpy you can do anything against. This isn't too hard of a battle, but there are a lot more to go. Great job on beating Area 4! Head into the Rest Station to collect your PokeCoupons and Save if you wish. We soon will venture deeper into the volcanic depths of Mt. Battle! ========================================= ~Mt. Battle Area 5 Prize:800 PokeCoupons~ ========================================= As we travel deeper into Mt. Battle, the Pokemon are getting stronger. The trainers' Pokemon types aren't criss-crossing a lot, they have multiple types, with the exceptions of some trainers. Careful--you never know when their Pokemon will defeat you! Here are the statistics for Area 5: Total Pokemon to Defeat:31 Pokemon Levels:35-40 PokeCoupons to be Won:800 The Pokemon are much stronger now, be careful! =Trainer #41================ |Researcher Vogi | |Chinchou Lv.35 Exp.:337 | | | |Pikachu Lv.36 Exp.:315 | ============================ Chinchou is Electric and Water and has Volt Absorb, converting Electric attacks into HP. Use Grass atacks for Chinchou, and preferably Earthquake against his Pikachu. =Trainer #42================ |Glasses Man Terl | |Spinda Lv.36 Exp.:327 | | | |Vigoroth Lv.37 Exp.:499 | | | |Delcatty Lv.36 Exp.:531 | ============================ All of Terl's Pokemon are Normal Types, so unleashing Fighting Type moves is quite a good idea. Careful of Vigoroth, he's very strong compared to his other Pokemon. =Trainer #43================ |Lady In Suit Sowa | |Linoone Lv.37 Exp.:507 | | | |Noctowl Lv.36 Exp.:624 | ============================ Both of Sowa's Pokemon, just like the previous battle, are Normal with the exception of Noctowl who is also being part Flying. You can use Electric attacks against Noctowl and, really, anything will do against Linoone. =Trainer #44================ |Fun Old Man Yudan | |Nuzleaf Lv.37 Exp.:558 | | | |Sableye Lv.37 Exp.:388 | ============================ Bring in a Fire Type Pokemon to deal massive damage against Nuzleaf, before he has the chance to do the same thing to you! Sableye can go down quite quickly to any Psychic Type attack, seeing as his stats aren't the greatest in the world. =Trainer #45================ |Athlete Megro | |Graveler Lv.38 Exp.:544 | | | |Mawile Lv.37 Exp.:388 | | | |Corsola Lv.37 Exp.:447 | ============================ Megro has quite a diverse team. Graveler can easily go down in one hit with Surf or another strong Water attack. Mawile can easily be burned by Fire because she is part steel. And as for Corsola, just do what we always do and use an Electric attack and this battle should be over fast. =Trainer #46================ |Roller Boy Toli | |Koffing Lv.37 Exp.:451 | | | |Grimer Lv.37 Exp.:537 | | | |Dustox Lv.37 Exp.:633 | | | |Gloom Lv.38 Exp.:355 | ============================ All of Toli's Pokemon are part Poison, so this makes Psychic Type attacks do all of you dirty work. Just use something like Confusion or anything on those lines and this battle will be over quickly. =Trainer #47================ |Fun Old Lady Ropel | |Natu Lv.37 Exp.:288 | | | |Medicham Lv.38 Exp.:622 | | | |Kadabra Lv.38 Exp.:584 | ============================ All three of Ropel's Pokemon are Psychic Types, so it's time to unleash Umbreon. If you use his Bite or Faint Attack, it's pretty much a one hit- KO for Ropel's entire team. =Trainer #48================ |Lady Vesey | |Seadra Lv.39 Exp.:646 | | | |Luvdisk Lv.38 Exp.:447 | | | |Lombre Lv.38 Exp.:573 | | | |Tentacool Lv.39 Exp.:438 | ============================ All of Vesey's Pokemon are Water Types, and I do think you know what that means, right? Bring out an Electric Pokemon and have them use Thunderbolt on them while you most likely don't take a single scratch. =Trainer #49================ |Teacher Kinsin | |Houndour Lv.39 Ex.:475 | | | |Spinda Lv.40 Exp.:363 | | | |Sealeo Lv.39 Exp.:534 | ============================ Class is in session! As with every teacher, she loses to her own pupil, and of course, her team is quite diverse, so you'll need an Electric type, a Water type, and a Fighting type or a strong Pokemon to defeat the 3 Pokemon on Kinsin's team. =Trainer #50================ Area Leader Zentin | |Pelipper Lv.39 Exp.:684 | | | |Masquerain Lv.39 Exp.:534 | | | |Swellow Lv.40 Exp.:693 | | | |Beautifly Lv.40 Exp.:690 | | | |Golbat Lv.40 Exp.:732 | ============================ This is the last Area Leader that doesn't use a diverse team, but for now grab out a Fire Type Pokemon and blast all of these Pokemon like they were nothing. They are all Bug types after all. Great job on beating half of Mt. Battle! But there are a lot more battles to go! After this battle head into the Rest Station and collect your PokeCoupons and Save the game if you want to. The next Area has a ton of red hot lava in it, but you won't have to look at for much longer. ========================================= ~Mt. Battle Area 6 Prize:800 PokeCoupons~ ========================================= You're even deeper into the interior of Mt. Battle, and the trainers aren't getting any nicer. You have a lot more Pokemon to deal with, and almost every trainer is using at least 3 Pokemon. There's a lot of Experience to gain, of course, so get ready! Pokemon to Defeat:38 Pokemon Levels:40-45 PokeCoupons to be Won:800 =Trainer #51================ |Teacher Leine | |Chinchou Lv.41 Exp.:394 | | | |Magnetmite Lv.40 Exp.:381 | | | |Voltorb Lv.40 Exp.:441 | ============================ All of this Teachers' Pokemon are Electric Types, and this gives Earthquake such a huge adavantage against everyone except Chinchou, which nullifies Earthquake's Super Effective hit from it being part Water. It's a relatively easy battle, and you should have no problem. =Trainer #52================ |Glasses Man Laton | |Aipom Lv.40 Exp.:402 | | | |Cacnea Lv.40 Exp.:415 | | | |Phanpy Lv.41 Exp.:544 | | | |Nosepass Lv.41 Exp.:474 | ============================ Aipom can go down to a strong attack, better hurry before he Baton Passes his battle effects to somebody else! Cacnea and Nosepass can easily be KO'd from a strong Fire Type attack, and Phanpy can be washed out by a Water Type attack. =Trainer #53================ |Bodybuilder Besol | |Ledian Lv.42 Exp.:603 | | | |Lileep Lv.41 Exp.:531 | | | |Skiploom Lv.42 Exp.:597 | ============================ Ledian, Lileep, and Skiploom. All 3 are Grass Types, and this battle is made fresh and easy that way. A Ice Type attack or a Grass Type attack will destroy Besol's team in a flash. =Trainer #54================ |Cooltrainer Boda | |Rhyhorn Lv.40 Exp.:577 | | | |Delibird Lv.42 Exp.:823 | | | |Anorith Lv.42 Exp.:535 | ============================ Rhyhorn can go down pretty quickly from a Surf attack or any other Water Type attack, Delibird can be shut down by an Electric attack or a Fire attack and as for Anorith, Ice or Fire is the way to go. =Trainer #55================ |Roller Boy Daga | |Vibrava Lv.43 Exp.:580 | | | |Staryu Lv.42 Exp.:477 | | | |Delcatty Lv.41 Exp.:606 | | | |Houndour Lv.42 Exp.:513 | ============================ This is quite a diverse team Daga has got here. Vibrava can easily be KO'd from Ice Type attacks. Staryu can go down by Electric attacks. Houndour can be knocked out thanks to some Water Type attacks, and Delcatty can be dead from strong attacks normally, just watch out for her Attract! You'll be in trouble if she uses it on you! =Trainer #56================ |Guy Alten | |Teddiursa Lv.42 Exp.:558 | | | |Skiploom Lv.42 Exp.:612 | | | |Clamperl Lv.43 Exp.:654 | | | |Beautifly Lv.43 Exp.:741 | ============================ Beautifly and Clamperl, Water and Flying Types can easily be covered by an Electric attack, so please do so. Skiploom, as if you haven't already learned, can be killed by a Fire Type attack, and Teddiursa by a Fighting Type attack. =Trainer #57================ |Lady In Suit Fial | |Goldeen Lv.43 Exp.:510 | | | |Luvdisk Lv.43 Exp.:505 | | | |Luvdisk Lv.44 Exp.:517 | | | |Goldeen Lv.44 Exp.:522 | ============================ Err, wow, this is the most pathetic team I have ever seen. All of them are Water Types! What more must I say? I think by now you know the drill, just fry 'em all with an Electric attack and move on with your challenge. =Trainer #58================ |Fun Old Man Haken | |Koffing Lv.43 Exp.:525 | | | |Nosepass Lv.43 Exp.:496 | | | |Mawile Lv.44 Exp.:462 | | | |Nuzleaf Lv.44 Exp.:664 | ============================ Another one of those diverse teams. Kill Koffing using a strong Psychic Type attack, bring down Nuzleaf using a Fire Type or Bug Type attack. You can easily destroy Nosepass and Mawile using a strong Fire Type attack. Another easy battle. =Trainer #59================ |Lady Illa | |Volbeat Lv.43 Exp.:672 | | | |Illumise Lv.44 Exp.:687 | | | |Roselia Lv.44 Exp.:715 | | | |Corsola Lv.44 Exp.:532 | ============================ Volbeat and Illumise can work together in this 2-on-2 battle by using Helping Hand on one another to power themselves up. They can easily be killed using Psychic or Fire Type attacks though. Roselia can be destoyed by Fire attacks, and Electric attacks work wonders against Corsola. =Trainer #60================ |Area Leader Loko | |Wobbuffet Lv.45 Exp.:852 | | | |Wailmer Lv.45 Exp.:660 | | | |Wigglytuff Lv.44 Exp.:513 | | | |Aumarill Lv.44 Exp.:720 | | | |Ariados Lv.45 Exp.:645 | ============================ If you didn't note what I said before, the Area Leaders from now on use diverse teams. Wailmer and Azumarill, though, can easily be killed in one Electric attack as their stats are pretty damned low. Ariados can be KO'd by a Fire or Psychic Type attack, Wigglytuff can be destroyed by a Fighting Type attack. But Wobbuffet, the fact is, comes down to a little luck. Hopefully he doesn't choose Mirror Coat or Counter correctly so you recieve double damage. He is quite hard, but fight your best! After beating this Area, head into the Rest Station and collect your PokeCoupons and Save the game if you want to. Before you entered the Rest Station you may have noticed the path ahead curving to the right. We're about to get a massive scenery change, and the difficulty increases as well! ========================================= ~Mt. Battle Area 7 Prize:900 PokeCoupons~ ========================================= You are now out of the interior of Mt. Battle, but emerge in the sky! Yes, the hights of this mountain are a bit extreme aren't they? From here on out, every trainer has at least 4 Pokemon. Watch yourself and make sure you don't get destroyed. Here are the Area 7 statistics: Total Pokemon to Defeat:41 Pokemon Levels:44-50 PokeCoupons to be Won:900 Good Luck! =Trainer #61================ |Roller Boy Gort | |Masquerain Lv.44 Exp.:603 | | | |Ariados Lv.46 Exp.:660 | | | |Ledian Lv.45 Exp.:645 | | | |Yanma Lv.44 Exp.:693 | ============================ Gort picked a really bad team. His Masquerain, Ledian, and Ariados are all weak against Fire Type attacks. Ariados is easily killed from Psychic type attacks, but they can all easily Poison you, so have a few Antidotes ready, or wait until after the battle where you can re-enter the Safe House and heal up again. =Trainer #62================ |Rich Boy Perd | |Solrock Lv.45 Exp.:723 | | | |Lunatone Lv.44 Exp.:706 | | | |Sandslash Lv.46 Exp.:802 | | | |Dunsparce Lv.47 Exp.:376 | ============================ Solrock and Lunatone are natural partners, and both are easily defeated by Water Type attacks. The same also goes for Sandslash, and as for Dunsparce, use an Electric Type attack. =Trainer #63================ |Researcher Mante | |Clamperl Lv.45 Exp.:684 | | | |Delibird Lv.47 Exp.:921 | | | |Magcargo Lv.45 Exp.:742 | | | |Dustox Lv.45 Exp.:771 | ============================ Clamperl, Delibird, and Dustox. All 3 Pokemon are weak against the common Electric Type attacks, making your job easy. Magcargo is killed quickly by one Water atttack, another easy battle. =Trainer #64================ |Athlete Meton | |Dodrio Lv.47 Exp.:795 | | | |Jumpluff Lv.48 Exp.:867 | | | |Linoone Lv.45 Exp.:616 | | | |Ninjask Lv.48 Exp.:763 | ============================ Dodrio and Ninjask are easily taken down by using Electric Type attacks handily. Jumpluff, if you're too naive to know by now, is weak against Fire Type attacks, and as for Linoone, any attack can take him down. =Trainer #65================ |Fun Old Lady Lonno | |Misdrevus Lv.48 Exp.:724 | | | |Banette Lv.48 Exp.:919 | | | |Sableye Lv.48 Exp.:504 | | | |Murkrow Lv.45 Exp.:514 | ============================ This isn't quite the brightest team in the world, but Murkrow can be killed using an Electric attack, however. Misdrevus, Banette, and Sableye can all be easily taken down by a Psychic Type attack. This battle isn't too hard, however. =Trainer #66================ |Lady In Suit Reme | |Girafarig Lv.48 Exp.:765 | | | |Roselia Lv.45 Exp.:732 | | | |Bellossom Lv.45 Exp.:886 | | | |Azumarill Lv.47 Exp.:769 | ============================ Bellossom and Roselia can easily be taken down using some well placed Fire Type attacks. Azumarill can be killed using an Electric attack, and Girafarig can be fallen from a Dark Type atttack. =Trainer #67================ |Cooltrainer Ferda | |Sneasel Lv.47 Exp.:664 | | | |Girafarig Lv.47 Exp.:750 | | | |Vigoroth Lv.48 Exp.:648 | | | |Swellow Lv.48 Exp.:798 | ============================ An Electric attack can easily knock out Sneasel as well as the strong Swellow, just make sure she doesn't use Endeavor or your in trouble. Vigoroth is very strong so try to take it down quickly as best as you can. Girafarig can be killed using Dark Type attacks, so do so. =Trainer #68================ |Glasses Man Gilam | |Camerupt Lv.47 Exp.:880 | | | |Chimecho Lv.45 Exp.:708 | | | |Medicham Lv.48 Exp.:786 | | | |Sharpedo Lv.48 Exp.:900 | ============================ Another diverse team. Medicham, being Psychic type, can go down easily to a Dark type attacks. Chimecho is an odd Pokemon but very fragile and weak so any old attack should do the trick. Sharpedo can be killed form an Electric type attack, and as for Camerupt, wash him out with a Surf. =Trainer #69================ |Guy Odon | |Pupitar Lv.47 Exp.:724 | | | |Mantine Lv.47 Exp.:846 | | | |Granbull Lv.48 Exp.:915 | | | |Sealeo Lv.49 Exp.:672 | ============================ Mantine and Sealeo can both be easily defeated from Electric attacks. Granbull is quite strong and is a little tricky to kill, unleash your strong attacks to wipe him out fast. Kill Pupitar with a Fire Type attacks, and this battle will soon be over. =Trainer #70================ |Area Leader Athey | |Machoke Lv.47 Exp.:750 | | | |Quagsire Lv.47 Exp.:718 | | | |Mawile Lv.48 Exp.:504 | | | |Altaria Lv.50 Exp.:1006 | | | |Dusclops Lv.49 Exp.:939 | ============================ Athey has quite a diverse team here. Machoke can be brought down by any Psychic Type attack, and Quagsire is Super-Super Weak against Grass Type attacks. Mawile can be killed quickly by Fire attacks, and Altaria can be easily KO'd from Ice Type attacks. Dusclops can be brought down by Psychic as well, but be quite careful as his team is very powerful and can kill you if you're not careful. His team is quite strong if you aren't readily prepared. After the battle ends head into the Rest Station and collect your PokeCoupons and Save the game if you want to. The road ahead is just getting tougher, so be prepared! ========================================= ~Mt. Battle Area 8 Prize:900 PokeCoupons~ ========================================= You emerged from Area 7 victorious. You are now even higher above the clouds in Area 8, and the stakes don't decline. There are now quite extreme battles going on. Be cautious. Area 8 statistics: Total Pokemon to Defeat:41 Pokemon Levels:49-55 PokeCoupons to be Won:900 =Trainer #71================ |Lady Caril | |Noctowl Lv.50 Exp.:867 | | | |Piloswine Lv.50 Exp.:856 | | | |Sunflora Lv.49 Exp.:766 | | | |Wigglytuff Lv.49 Exp.:571 | ============================ And from here on out, the teams start to get quite diverse! Piloswine and Sunflora can both be easily killed using a Fire Type attack however, and Wigglytuff can be brought down with a Fighting Type attack, just be careful of it's Sing attack. Noctowl is easily killed from Electric attacks. Defeat him and move on. =Trainer #72================ |Fun Old Man Chenek | |Swalot Lv.50 Exp.:900 | | | |Golbat Lv.50 Exp.:915 | | | |Kadabra Lv.51 Exp.:792 | | | |Seviper Lv.49 Exp.:865 | ============================ Psychic Type Pokemon dominate this battle--their attacks can easily destroy Swalot, Golbat, and Seviper in one shot. Kadabra should be killed from a Dark Type attack, he's not very strong, just so you know. =Trainer #73================ |Roler Boy Tran | |Hitmontop Lv.51 Exp.:753 | | | |Grumpig Lv.52 Exp.:913 | | | |Sneasel Lv.50 Exp.:706 | | | |Gligar Lv.50 Exp.:577 | ============================ Another diverse team, and I hate diverse teams! Gligar should be hit with a Water Type attack to be defeated, Sneasel can be killed from an Electric Type approach, Grumpig should be hit by Dark Type attacks, and Hitmonlee can be destroyed using Psychic Type moves. =Trainer #74================ |Researcher Ribek | |Mightyena Lv.50 Exp.:685 | | | |Stantler Lv.52 Exp.:918 | | | |Granbull Lv.51 Exp.:972 | | | |Masquerain Lv.51 Exp.:699 | ============================ Stantler and Granbull both can easily fall to Fighting Type attacks like Brick Break, so use that, or any other strong moves if you have them. Masquerain can quickly fall to Psychic Type attacks, and Bug attacks make Mightyena fall fast. =Trainer #75================ |Bodybuilder Vitalo | |Lanturn Lv.51 Exp.:852 | | | |Vileplume Lv.52 Exp.:1024 | | | |Skarmory Lv.52 Exp.:936 | | | |Dusclops Lv.51 Exp.:978 | ============================ A nice Flamethrower or something like that is just perfect for defeating Vileplume and Skarmory. Psychic will take care of Dusclops, and some Grass attacks will quickly kill Lanturn fast. =Trainer #76================ |Cooltrainer Daras | |Breloom Lv.54 Exp.:954 | | | |Swellow Lv.51 Exp.:885 | | | |Rhydon Lv.51 Exp.:1114 | | | |Glalie Lv.51 Exp.:1021 | ============================ Glalie and Breloom can fall to a single Flamethrower, pathetic mortals. Swellow, if you still don't get the picture, falls easily to an Electric attack. Rhydon can die fast from a Surf. =Trainer #77================ |Athlete Dian | |Granbull Lv.51 Exp.:972 | | | |Jumpluff Lv.51 Exp.:961 | | | |Metang Lv.52 Exp.:852 | | | |Xatu Lv.53 Exp.:970 | ============================ Jumpluff and Metang are both easily killed from a good Flamethrower, or something along those lines. Xatu can be brought down from a Dark or Electric type attack. Granbull is pretty strong the way it is, defeat him with any strong attack. =Trainer #78================ |Glasses Man Hauf | |Absol Lv.52 Exp.:969 | | | |Lairon Lv.52 Exp.:846 | | | |Tropius Lv.51 Exp.:922 | | | |Exploud Lv.53 Exp.:1044 | ============================ Another stupid diverse team. Absol can be destroyed using some Bug Type attacks, Lairon can be knocked out by a single Surf, Tropius and Flamethrower, well, let's just say they don't go together, and Exploud can be taken out with anything. =Trainer #79================ |Fun Old Lady Naldo | |Shiftry Lv.51 Exp.:988 | | | |Noctowl Lv.52 Exp.:901 | | | |Torkoal Lv.52 Exp.:897 | | | |Relicanth Lv.54 Exp.:1143 | ============================ Well what do you know? A diverse team! Shiftry can be defeated from some Fire Type attacks, and a good Thunderbolt should put Noctowl to rest. A washing out Surf can knock out Torkoal, and anoth Thunderbolt works on Relicanth. =Trainer #80================ |Area Leader Shobon | |Cacturne Lv.53 Exp.:1005 | | | |Weezing Lv.53 Exp.:981 | | | |Golem Lv.54 Exp.:1023 | | | |Hariyama Lv.52 Exp.:1024 | | | |Starmie Lv.55 Exp.:1219 | ============================ Cacturne and Weezing. Both are easily defeated by a good old Flamethrowing. Golem should be washed out using a Surf from anybody, preferrably Suicune, Hariyama can be killed from a Psychic Type attack, and Starmie goes down from a Thunderbolt. This isn't too hard of a battle, unless you are severely underleveled when fighting Shobon. Great job on beating Area 8! Head into the Rest Station and collect your rightfully earned PokeCoupons and Save the game if you want to. The road ahead is just a bit tougher, good luck! ========================================== ~Mt. Battle Area 9 Prize:1000 PokeCoupons~ ========================================== You are now even higher into the sky, and closer to the summit of Mt. Battle! The Pokemon are much stronger here, you never know what the CPU is thinking of (Of course, they may be stupid as usual!) Area 8 statistics: Total Pokemon to Defeat:41 Pokemon Levels:54-60 PokeCoupons to be Won:1,000 =Trainer #81================ |Athlete Dobel | |Girafarig Lv.54 Exp.:861 | | | |Ninjask Lv.55 Exp.:912 | | | |Zangoose Lv.54 Exp.:954 | | | |Dodrio Lv.55 Exp.:930 | ============================ Ninjask and Dodrio can easily be killed from a Thunderbolt and Girafarig from a Dark Type attack. Zangoose can be taken down by strong attack means, so do so. =Trainer #82================ |Guy Keto | |Camerupt Lv.56 Exp.:1030 | | | |Sharpedo Lv.55 Exp.:1030 | | | |Forretress Lv.55 Exp.:694 | | | |Breloom Lv.55 Exp.:972 | ============================ This guy has a pretty decent team. And when I say decent, I mean it sucks. Forretress and Breloom can both be defeated peacefully from some Fire Type attacks like Flamethrower. Sharpedo can be killed and fried from an Electric type attack, and Camerupt should be brought down by a Surf to win this fairly easy battle. =Trainer #83================ |Glasses Man Moit | |Banette Lv.55 Exp.:1054 | | | |Magneton Lv.56 Exp.:966 | | | |Mantine Lv.56 Exp.:1008 | | | |Whiscash Lv.55 Exp.:930 | ============================ A nice Thunderbolt can easily take care of Whiscash and Mantine easily. Bug attacks will work nicely against Banette, and Earthquake will quickly dispose of Magneton. =Trainer #84================ |Fun Old Man Matso | |Raichu Lv.55 Exp.:1204 | | | |Lombre Lv.56 Exp.:846 | | | |Electrode Lv.56 Exp.:1146 | | | |Altaria Lv.55 Exp.:1054 | ============================ Raichu and Electrode are weak to the familar Earthquake, while Lombre is weak to Bug and Altaria to Ice attacks. His Pokemon are pretty strong, and Electrode's Explosion, if it uses it, will seriously injure your Pokemon. =Trainer #85================ |Bodybuilder Ritaco | |Crawdaunt Lv.56 Exp.:966 | | | |Octillary Lv.54 Exp.:948 | | | |Huntail Lv.56 Exp.:1068 | | | |Golduck Lv.55 Exp.:1024 | ============================ This has to be one of the most poorly organized team's I have ever seen. All of Ritaco's Pokemon are Water Types, and if you make it Raining out, all of them are one big Lightningrod. Hit theem all with Thunder, move on from this pathetic soul. =Trainer #86================ |Lady Ristin | |Bellossom Lv.55 Exp.:1083 | | | |Gorebyss Lv.56 Exp.:1068 | | | |Miltank Lv.58 Exp.:1200 | | | |Ampharos Lv.57 Exp.:1183 | ============================ Miltank is pretty strong with a weakness to Fighting Type moves. If you have none, strike her with everything you got. Ampharos can easily be taken down with an Earthquake, Gorebyss doesn't like Thunderbolt (surprise surprise), and Bellossom can be picked off with a Flamethrower. =Trainer #87================ |Roller Boy Dorn | |Skarmory Lv.58 Exp.:1008 | | | |Xatu Lv.57 Exp.:1026 | | | |Shiftry Lv.
