3. Main Story
---------------------------------------------------------------
*****Strategy Guide Main Story*****
An awfully long time ago in a strange and far-off land, a big, bustling
town thrived. All of its residents lived very happy lives, and it is said
that the town was very prosperous. But one day, tragedy befell this blessed
place. A great cataclysm struck the town and its people. Darkness filled the
skies, and the Earth roared as if the very world had come to a violent end.
And but in a single night, the town sank into the depths of the Earth.

---------------------------------------------------------------
4. Main Characters
---------------------------------------------------------------
*****Mario*****
Yeah, you know him, with his blue overalls, red shirt, and cool cartoon-style
gloves--yeah, that's him all right. Mario! He's back in the second dimension, but
what does he have in stock this time?

*****Princess Peach*****
Princess Peach is the princess in the game (no duh, it's suggested by her name).
Se wanders off, and finds this old widow (I think it's an old widow) that is selling
cool stuff. She points at the box, and the lady says some ancient stuff, and saying
that only one with a good heart can open the box. Fortunately, she opens it and
finds...

*****Sir Grodus*****
Sir Grodus is also searching for the Thousand-Year-Door. As you can tell, by his
awesome weapons of destruction, he's the bad guy. He looks like one, doesn't he?
I mean, come on, look at him! Since when does a good guy look like that? That
proves he's a bad guy!

*****Bowser*****
When he finds out that Princess Peach is missing, Bowser immediately sets out to
find the damsel in distress. As the lame bad guy in this story, he mistakes a
poster as Princess Peach. How pathetic can you get?
------------------------------------------------
5. Partners
---------------------------------------------------------------
*****Goombella*****
Goombella is a young girl Goomba that is from the University of Goom. Her professor
is Professor Frankly. While walking around for info on the Crystal Stars, she runs
into Lord Crump, the leader of the X-Naut army. Mario comes to save her in time...

*****Koops*****
Koops is a Koopa from the town of Petalburg. His dad is hoping that he becomes as
brave and powerful as himself. He has a girlfriend and his own house. After you beat
Hooktail, you will meet Koops' dad after Hooktail spits him out. Koops thanks Mario
so much for encouraging him to rescue his father. And he's a kool koopa.

*****Madame Flurrie*****
Madame Flurrie lives in the Boggly Woods in her own house. Her favorite item of hers
is her necklace. She never goes out of her house without it. She loves the Punis, and
she likes Punio the most. What would happen if Flurrie lost that necklace? Uh...

*****Yoshi*****
You'll get to name him whatever you want after he hatches out of his egg. He may be
young, but he is a Yoshi that likes to be tough and likes to battle. He has different
colors, and it depends on what file you choose to play. The egg is his color. If I ever
find out the colors for each file, I'll tell you.

*****Vivian*****
Vivian is a Shadow Siren of the X-Naut organization that doesn't feel appreciated at
all. In Chapter 4, as Shadow Mario (AKA, no-name Mario) you will meet her in Twilight
Town. After she figures out you are Mario, she goes away when you face Doopliss. But
she comes back to help you. She is your only partner throughout almost the whole chapter.
Your friends won't be there for you during the chapter, and there are some dangerous
parts.

*****Admiral Bobbery*****
Admiral Bobbery is a Bob-omb that had a wife named Scarlette. He lost her when he
went on a journey on a ship. He is glad to know that Mario gives him a letter, written
by Scarlette, for the last time. He is now with Mario to fulfill his dream.

*****Ms. Mowz*****
Ms. Mowz is a mouse that likes Mario's looks and clothes. She also likes all badges,
because she collects them. If you want to have her as a partner, you need to do her
side quest. You'll have to wait a few chapters before you can even have her as your
partner. FLurrie does get jealous in Chapter 2.

10. Uses of Badges
---------------------------------------------------------------
All right, this is the last part before I explain the chapters. I'll tell you
the uses of badges. When you find a badge, you can equip it with BP(Badge Points).
Just to tell you, if you don't know what HP and FP is, HP is Heart Points, and FP
is Flower Points. Anyway, back to the main point. If you get a badge, as for
example, HP Plus. It takes 3 BP to equip this badge. At the beginning, you
have 6 BP, free for the use of badges. If you choose to level up your BP
after a battle, it'll increase by 3, unlike HP or FP. When you find, trade, buy,
or win (at the Pianta Parlor) a badge, you can equip it with the new BP you own.
But you need to always make wise decisions about what badges you equip. Because
remember, you might not always have enough BP for all of your badges. Also,
when your reading my walkthrough, I might show you where a hidden badge is.

---------------------------------------------------------------
11. A Rogue's Welcome (Intro of the story)
---------------------------------------------------------------
Welcome into the world of Paper Mario: The-Thousand-Year-Door! I'll start with the
story now.

As the town of Rogueport was being built, the ancient town falling into the Earth
passed into fable. No one could really know what happened that day(or night).
After many years, Princess Peach finds a mystical map from a merchant in Rogueport
square. She looks at the map and she figures that it is a treasure map. She wants to
find it, but she thinks she'll need help. So she sends the letter to Mario. That's
where you begin. You recieve the letter, and you get the map too. But the X-Naut
organization's boss, Grodus goes after Peach, because they think that she still has
the map. They kidnap her and hold her prisoner to lure Mario to them. This is where
it all starts. Get ready for a great guide!

*******************Prologue********************
A Paratroopa comes to deliver the mail to the Mario Bros. Luigi comes out to take the
mail, and gives it to Mario to check out. He reads the letter, and of course, he brings
the map. Ok, I've made too many places and areas about where the story starts, but this
is the REAL part! Finally!

When you arrive in Rogueport, head toward the save block and save your progress.
Although you don't have anything new, still save because if you don't, you might have
to start it all over. After saving, go forward, and go right to encounter Goombella
being yelled at by X-Nauts and their leader, Lord Crump.

After Goombella sees you, she will hide behind you and Lord Crump will approach you
and you'll enter your first battle. Lord Crump has only a little HP right now(but
later, he'll have much more!), so it'll be easy to defeat him. Use any attack you'd
like, but if you use jump, press A when you bounce on him. That is called an Action
Command. It can increase your power by doubling it. This technique is very useful
when battling bosses.

After you defeat Lord Crump, he'll tell all his X-Nauts to attack you. Fortunately,
Goombella finds a way out of there, and you do too. She'll tell you to follow her,
but for some reason she's the one following you. Head up the stairs after you escape
and go through the entrance to Rogueport Square. After you enter, Lord Crump will
wonder where you are, and he'll stop his army from jumping. After he's done, the screen
will go to you.

When you are in the town square, Goombella will introduce herself to you. After that,
Toadsworth will come into the conversation, and tell you why he was there. After he
leaves to go to the inn, Goombella will become your partner. She will then tell you to
go to Professor Frankly. So to go to Professor Frankly, go to the east part of town.
But before you do, go save at the block there near the inn. Also, for a later chapter
in the story, head to the west side of town and when Zess T. gets mad at you for
stepping on her glasses, she'll block you so you can't go to the west side of town,
which is much more beautiful. Then head to the shop and talk to the first toad you
see. You ask for contact lens, and they'll say that it'll take a while. After,
proceed forward into the game.

After you enter, a blue Bandit will steal half of your money. To get all of it back,
go back into the town square and head north into the alley. After the field goes around,
turn left and go in the door. Talk to the Bandit in there and he'll give it back. Then
go back to the east entrance.

Before the guy that blocks the other side to the east, enter the door right before him.
That is Professor Frankly's place. After a huge, long conversation, go outside and then
Professor Frankly will show that the fence is loose. He'll take it off and then he'll
show the pipe. Go down it and save at the block down there. Then head right. The left
is for later. You'll encounter 3 Goombas that are all different.

This is your 2nd battle. They all like Goombella, but when she says something like EW!,
then the Goombas will get mad, and go after you. Don't worry about facing them because
they only have 2 HP each. Use either attack again, but always use Goombella's Headbonk.
Only if you want to know what the enemy is like, then use Tattle.

After you done with them, head right a little more past the part with the moving platform.
Head north until you hit the wall, and turn left. Wait for the platform to come and jump
on it when it comes. Wait for it to go to the other side and jump in the pipe on that side.
You will see two Spunias if you go on the right. When your still on the field, hammer them
or jump on them to make something called a First Attack. if you do this to an enemy during
the time your still on the field, you'll enter battle with causing damage to your foe.

Defeat both of the Spunias and head right. Bonk the switch with your hammer or jump on it
if you like. A staircase will be revealed. Go up it and before entering the black thing,
drop down next to the airplane panel. There is a black key that you'll need. Go back up
and enter the black thing. Put the key inside the chest and free the curse inside of it.

The guy will (this is supposed to be sarcastic) "curse" you and give you the ability to
fly. So go back outside of that room and go on the paper airplane panel earlier. Fly to
the ledge on the left side of the room, and enter the entrance.

You have found the legendary Thousand-Year-Door! Professor Frankly will say to go closer
to the The-Thousand-Year-Door. Stand on the pedestal in the middle of the room. Watch the
crazy lights power up Mario. Then you go back to Professor Frankly's place. After that,
he'll offer to teach you how to use your special move. Also he'll give you a badge that
is called Power Smash. If you don't equip it, Goombella will yell at you when you go down.

After you talk to him about the special move, go down the pipe to Rogueport Sewers and save
at the block again. Then head right. Use the airplane panel to fly to the right, and then go
in the entrance to the right. When you get in there, you'll see a giant thingy! Either hammer
or jump on it and watch a blooper arise from the deep. It'll go after you and start a battle.

It has 12 HP, 1 ATK(some attacks might be more), and 0 DEF. It might take a while, because
you'll need to attack his tentacles too. When he's upside-down, it's easier to attack and
not die, because he can't attack at all. Take him down, and get at least 10 star points.

After your done with the cranky blooper, two platforms will appear and they will lead you
to the other side. Jump on them and get to the other side. You will see a pipe, so go down
it. Say bye to the prolugue!

---------------------------------------------------------------
12. Castle and Dragon (Chapter 1 of the story) Part 1
---------------------------------------------------------------
Time to begin your real journey for the Crystal Stars! After you exit the pipe, save your
progress since your in Petal Meadows now. Walk to the right and sooner or later, you'll see
a dragon go over you.

After the dreadful, horibble, and very scary dragon passes by, keep heading to the right.
Defeat the Goombas if they get in your way, and keep heading right. After you head into the
next area after the Goombas, defeat the other one so he doesn't bother you. Open the darkest
bushes in the area by pressing A next to it when an exclamation point appears.

You'll discover a hidden pipe. Go down it and head to the right. Hit the switch by jumping
on it, or hammer on it. You'll see a bridge be built. After that, if you head right, you'll
get a Star Piece. I just felt like saying that even if I was supposed to say that in the Star
Piece section. Anyway, go back into the pipe and keep on heading right.

You have reached the town of Petalburg. The Koopa there will have a little chat with you for
a while since you are there next visitor, which was never expected. He'll tell you that Petal
Meadows and Petalburg are two places that are 100% peaceful--except for the dragon named
Hooktail that swoops down to eat innocent and unexpected guests.

After your little chat, go to the pink house that he told you to go to. Go to the next area
and head upward to the pink house. Talk to the mayor and he'll ask you to defeat Hooktail.
But before he knows what your name is(he actually doesn't know), he mistakes you for a burglar.
After he says your name is Murphy, choose one of the options: It's Mario. Or: My name is Mario!
He'll give you permission to go into Shhwonk Fortress and get the two keys.

But of course, before you go to the Shhwonk Fortress, your power of your boots and hammer is
too low, so go to the shop and purchase maybe about 4-6 POW blocks. Save them for when I tell
you to use them.

So head toward the right of the town, and keep going until you reach a building. Enter and go
to the pedestal. Examine it by pressing A when you get the exclamation. The things on the
pedestals will come after you for a battle. So, as I said, use a POW block to attack, and
you'll defeat them in one hit.

The gate will open letting you go through. After the gate opens, go through and head right.
You'll reach yet another building. Repeat what you did at the other building, and then hit em'
with I think 1 or 2 POW blocks.

Then, head to the next building and talk to the thowmp. Instead of a battle, he will do trivia-
fu on you! Of course, your already reading this walkthrough with the answers, so the only thing
you are being tested on is your ability to read. Here are the answers and the questions:

1. What is hidden in this place? Stone Keys
2. How much do a mushroom and a Fire Flower
cost in Petalburg? 12 coins
3. What is the name of the mayor of Petalburg? Kroop
4. Where is the Crystal Star? Hooktail Castle
5. How can one get from Petal Plains to
Rogueport? Go Through a Pipe
6. Which of the following creatures have hands? Koopa Troopas
7. What number question is this? Question Seven

After you answer all of the questions right (which of course, if you don't know how to read, you
didn't get all right), he'll go all sleepy and a pipe will appear. Go down the pipe.

Ok, down here, Fuzzies shall rule! Venture to the left "and" right to get the moon and sun stones.
The fuzzies are strong little fellas, even though all the HP they have is 3. They suck your blood
and get 1 HP. So, as a beginner, on Paper Mario 2, it'll take 2 hits to defeat them. Later on you
should get boots and a hammer that attack with 3 Hp each hit, including the extra hit. Also, if you
get scared by surprises, a fuzzy will fall and attack when you get one of the stones.

After you get the moon and sun stones, and you return back to the pipe, a "Gold" Fuzzy will appear.
It has 10 HP, but don't worry, it sucks your FP instead of HP. After you deplete half of it's HP,
well, did I forget to say that it can summon a Fuzzy Horde? Sorry, looks like I didn't. So, it
summons a Fuzzy Horde that has 20 HP. Don't worry about the Fuzzy Horde, just focus on the Gold
Fuzzy, because when you kill it, the Horde will run away.

After that, you can go back up the pipe, and then travel back to Petalburg. After Petalburg, you
can go back to the place where you saw Hooktail. But before you get there, you will encounter Koops,
the Koopa that some people talk about. You see him right when you exit Petalburg. After a little
chat, his girlfriend appears, and she will slam into you and Koops several times. Pretty embarrasing.
She does this because she didn't want Koops to come with you on a dangerous journey.

After these moments, Peach shall e-mail you. Read her message, then go on.

You should get back to where you were when Chapter 1 started. Remember anything when you were there
last time? A strange kind of rock, and two other rocks that had holes in them? Well, the holes were
keyholes, keyholes for the Moon and Sun Keys. Place them with their shapes (just like baby toys), and
then two switches will appear. Read the strange rock when the exclamation point appears, and it'll show
a message something about the power of two.

So it says you have to hit the switches simutaneously at the same time. To do this, use Koops' X button
ability "Shell Toss" to the direction facing away from the switch and strange rock. Then, let go of the
X button and also hit the switch while jumping or with your hammer when you think it is time to do it.
The strange rock will deform and have a pipe revealed...

As before, the rock was shaped as a pipe. so go through the pipe and head to the castle in the background.
The castle is Hooktail Castle. Part 1 of Chapter 1 in this walkthrough is over! Part 2 is here!

---------------------------------------------------------------
13. Castle and Dragon (Chapter 1 of the story) Part 2
---------------------------------------------------------------
Ok, yeah, that last 2 sentences in Part 1 were pretty weird. Anyway, inside the castle, Hooktail Castle,
use the small trampoline in the first room to get to the second floor. Then, after you get there, head to
the left and hit the block(only if you don't have full HP, and if you have money). Then go to the right
(still on the second floor) outside. You'll find a paper airplane panel. Fly on it good, because you don't
want to fall into the moat. Then exit your terminal to the giant door on the right.

When you enter, the staircase is only for returning, so don't worry about it yet. Enter the next room and
then if you have Koops out, he will bring you to the skeleton that he thinks is his father. Yep, his father
died a few years ago. Anyway, there will be a letter and Koops will read it, only if you tell him to read it.
After the letter, you should learn (unless you didn't pass the test earlier with the ability to read) that
the dragon's weakness is crickets. Weird, I know.

Just continue to the end of the room, and you'll see a Red Bones. Examine it when the exclamation point
appears...A giant swarm of dry bones will apppear!!! To get through, use your hammer with the B button and
hammer your way through this (literally) rough crowd. The place would start emptying up. When you make it to
the end at the Red Bones, you will enter a big battle of the dead and living! Err...ahem...sorry.

Put Koops in front and blast away with his Power Shell at the skeletons. All Dry Bones will die, and then
after you attack the minions, attack the leader, Red Bones. Smack the big leader with your hammer.

After the big bash, head to the next room, and get to the end. Hit the purple switch from the southeast
corner of the room. You might see a purple block lower down in the northeast corner of the room. Jump on top
of it and then on top of the silver block. Jump across these silver blocks, and hit the yellow block with your
hammer. Then go back to the southeast corner, and hit the yellow block. Then stand to the left of the silver
blocks and use Koops' Shell Toss to hit the red switch. The staircase will end up flipping over.

So, go climb up the staircase to the ledge and then use Koops' Shell Toss again to get the Castle Key. Hit the
red switch to put the staircase back to normal, and then climb up the stairs and unlock the door. Enter the next
room! Well, actually, the room after that.

Here, walk over to the southeast corner again and face to the left of the red switch and use Koops' Shell Toss
again. Hold it, and go to the gate with bars in the northeast corner. Let go of the X button and when the gate
opens, walk through it. Walk to the right through a small hole.

You should see yet again another black chest that is locked up with a voice just like the one before in the
prolugue. It'll ask to unlock the chest to free it. Mario knows this is familiar to him...

Just go into the next room and go to the center. The place is very suspicious I know, but go to the center of
the room and open the chest to get the key. Of course, just have a nice day and walk out the door of the room.
And please try to avoid the spikes in the wall above you coming down in a matter of seconds, and you have a
maze to find your way out of. No really, there are spikes here, coming down on you. Run for your life!

If (though you should have) you made it through the maze, then congratulations! And as usual, that black chest
lied. So, it shall [so called] "curse" you with the power to be just as thin as paper. Hold R to be thin. It'd
be real sad if you couldn't even hold R.

So, you need this ability to get the weakness of Hooktail. No, it isn't a shelter full of crickets you take
along with you. It is the first badge you will find. It is called the Attack FX R. it has the sound of a cricket
so that you can take down Hooktail. To get it, head back to the room where you literally did a prison break. Go
to the first cage thingy and turn into paper and slip through the bars. Get the badge and slip back through.

After you get the badge, head all the way to the place where you found Koops' "dad". Slip through the bars that
aren't in crisscross pattern, and head right to get a castle Key. Go back to the room that I told you to skip.
Stand on the green block and use Koops' Shell Toss to hit the switch. You will go upward. After you get up there,
go up the staircase and use the Castle Key to unlock the door.

Inside, head left and keep going until you get to a blue switch. Hit it, and then an archway will appear to your
left. Cross and then you will see another empty spot. Use Koops' Shell Toss to hit the switch across the spot,
and then the archway will appear. Head over to the third and final gap, and you'll find no switch at all. Try to
find a window that has no glass or anything. Jump through it and then walk left to get past the gap. When you find
another window without glass, jump through it and proceed to the door.

Go up the stairs and then go on either side of the green switch, and use Koops' Shell Toss to throw his shell to
the side. Get on the green block, and let go of Koops. Watch out for the surprise attack of the Dull Bones. Head
to the door on your left and once you enter (I think it's weird) a thief mouse named Ms. Mowz will notice you just
came in. Like almost any woman, Ms. Mowz will feel stricken by Mario's mustache. She might start hitting on him...
But she might also reveal some information about the Crystal Star.

After Ms. Mowz kisses Mario once, she'll leave the room to you, to get the treasures you'd like. Probably best to
get them all? After heading out the room, go to the room to the right.

Head to the southeast corner of the room and hit the yellow switch to bring the block down. Hold Koops to the left
with his Shell Toss and then get on top of the block. Release Koops and then after the block stops, go on the
railing and walk left carefully. When you see a platform in the middle of the railings, use paper mode to slip
through the bars. Go on the paper airplane panel and fly over to the ledge at the end of the room where the door
is. Enter the next room.

Go down the stairs and then hit the yellow switch to lower the block. Use Koops' Shell Toss again to get the Castle
Key on the other side. If you want to get a Last Stand P badge(it reduces the damage your partner gets by half when
they are in peril), then go fall downward where the block was and then walk right to get the badge. Although you do
know that you have to go back a few tips from above in order to get back to where you were?

After you come back (if you were getting the badge) go up the stairs at the wall (not the stairs to the yellow
block) and go up the second staircase. Enter the door, but before you do, you could get the Shine Sprite in the
light of the window(I'm only telling you this because it's something obvious).

Then venture through the enemies in your path and go up the staircase inside the big tower. If you're thinking you
can jump through the windows, too bad, you can't. Just keep climbing and be aware that a Goomba will try to summon
a battle against you at the top of the staircase. Then climb up a few more stairs and then spend 10 coins to heal
yourself from all of the battles you have just done. Save your progress (well you should because this is your first
boss) and enter the giant door. From this door you should be able to tell that this is the door to Hooktail's lair.
Be brave! Oh yeah, and to win, equip the badge that you found in the jail place. The Attack FX R badge will make a
noise like a cricket. When you make this noise, you lower his ATK and DEF.

Well, it's your first boss battle. Hooktail has 20 HP, 5 ATK, and 1 DEF. (These are estimated stats.) Ok, first do
any attack possible with the badge equipped. He'll say:"Bleck! That awful sound! It...sounds like a cricket! How did
you know?" When he says "bleck", and saying "How did you know?" will make you be able to trust Koops' "dad" even
though he's dead. Trusting a dead person. Just plain weird!

Ok, just throw all you got at him, and when his HP is all depleted, he'll offer some rewards for forgiveness. ALWAYS
ANSWER NO! He is only trying to lure you in close for a good attack. When he finishes begging for mercy, he'll go
into "your" crowd and eat members of the audience to replenish half of his health. Just keep jumping and stomping on
his nose to regurgitate (throw up, which is disgusting) the audience, and slay him! Try not to get his blood
everywhere, yuck...

After defeating Hooktail, Koops' dad is spit out of the body. Koops' and his dad will be joyful and happy right here.
And you, _________________, have brought them together again. Koops' dad will hand you the Crystal Star. Can you
    (insert your full name here)
believe that Hooktail was guarding the Crystal Star when it was inside his belly? Weird, and yet, your going to be
carrying it around with you, probably saying,"Hi, I'm _________________, and I have one Crystal Star in Paper Mario 2,
                                                 (insert your full name here)
and it's really dirty, and full of food mush on it!" (Just plain weird.)

--------------------
New Special Move
--------------------
Your new Special Move is Earth Tremor! It shakes the ground with a giant star, and it hits up to 6 HP of damage. If
you get enough power, you can attack airborne enemies too! To activate, press the A button when the red circles with
stars light up. Once you mess up, then how many meters you filled up is how much damage you deal.
Uses: 2 SP
Damage: 1-6 HP, Hits the enemy with a strong quake.
Buttons/What to do: Press A button whenever the red circles light up, and get as many gauges as possible filled up.

--------------------
Peach's Event
--------------------
Ok, at the end of each chapter, you'll encounter an event with Peach, and with Bowser. In Peach's event, you will
listen to her cut scene, and then enter the door to your left and take a shower. When you return from that room, the
door on the right will open automatically. Proceed to the right all the way until you come to the mainframe of the
lab, named and known as TEC-XX. You'll see the rest for yourself,

--------------------
Bowser's Event
--------------------
All you got to do in Bowser's event is walk to the end of the hall. On the way, you can take the time to talk to his
minions to hear some hilarious dialogue. When Kammy asks if you like fried eggs, say,"They are delicious, after
all".

---------------------------------------------------------------
14. The Great Boggly Tree (Chapter 2 of the story) Part 1
---------------------------------------------------------------
Return all the way to Rogueport and go back to the Thousand-Year-Door. Stand on the pedestal in front of the door to
learn the location of the next Crystal Star. It will be in a place called Boggly Woods. First go to Professor Frankly
and consult with him. You'll learn about these gray creatures called Punis. Then go back to the room with the first
paper airplane panel you used. Follow the gray creature that your Partner will tell you about, by turning into paper
and going through the bars. Keep following the creature through every area he goes to. He'll stop sooner or later and
realize you're trying to help him.

He'll go through a series of switches to unlock a path that you can go through. First, if you'd like, go through the
door leading to the path, but turn left for a new badge! Then head back and go right to enter a room with a pipe you
can go through to get to Boggly Woods. Here is the real beginning of Chapter 2.

After the cut scene, walk right and hit the save block to save your progress. Then enter the next area. You'll find
three Shadow Sirens that work for your enemy. Don't be alarmed and think your not ready for this. They lost the sketch
of you, so they could find you, so simply walk on by. Talk to them even, but they don't have anything interesting to say.
One of them though will have their suspicions on you. So, just walk on by, walk to the right.

When you enter the next area, you can enter the pipe and follow Punio (just if you didn't know, Punio is the name of the
little guy) to The Great Boggly Tree. When you reach the tree, you, your partner, and Punio will learn that the tree is
closed, because someone has installed a door that prevents you or anyone else enter the door. Punio, though, will tell
about a secret entrance, but you need the help of a lady named Madame Flurrie to find it. He'll say though that you can't
just find it easily. It's not like it's labeled right there saying "SECRET ENTRANCE". (It actually will be when you find
it.

Go back through the warp pipe and go to the right all the way until you find a big, black hill(or something like one). Go
the closest possible to the foreground, and then head right exactly. Then, when Mario stops, push up on the control stick,
and stop when Mario stops moving. Push left on the control stick and you'll find Mario there again, but on the tree stumps.
Follow the path left and when you reach the seventh stump to the right, jump to get a badge called P-down, D-up P. It drops
your partners attack, but raises his/her defense. Hammer on the blue switch to raise the paper airplane panel and pipe. You
should be able to then get over the black (Probably a cubed hill?) hill. You can get to the paper airplane panel via the
nearby warp pipe. Fly carefully and exit your terminal. Head right into the next area.

Head to the small slot in the leaves and turn paper to go through. Find the pipe to your left and go down the pipe. Head
right in the background to Madame Flurrie's house. When Punio asks her for help, she'll say that she'd do anything for him,
but she will also say she can't even leave her own room without her favorite necklace. If you remember, Vivian of the Shadow
Sirens found a necklace lying on the ground. Head back to them and consult them.

Get ready for a battle, because this is the hardest one for you(yet). They will find their sketch when you come there, and
then they will see you. They will summon a battle, and so be prepared my friend.

Start off with attacks that attack all of them at once, as for example, your new special move, Earth Tremor. Press at good
timing when the red circles light up. Try to get a lot of power as possible for this move--it takes up to 6 HP out of your
opponent. Then after attacks that attack them all at once, start attacking Marilyn(the fat one, no offense), because she is
the one with big, strong attacks, since she's the big one. In Boggly Woods, she has 12/40 HP, 2/7 ATK, and no DEF. (Once
again, these are estimated stats.)

After defeating Marilyn, attack Beldam (the smallest one) next, because she can shrink you and your partner, decreasing your
AP(attack power), and increase her sisters' AP. In Boggly Woods, she has 9/30 HP, 1/5 ATK, and no DEF. (These are estimated
stats(again).)

After defeating Beldam, attack Vivian (the pink-haired, red-striped-hat-wearer) next, but there isn't anything threatening
about her. Just attack her because she is the last one left.

After taking out each one, they will run away and drop Flurrie's necklace. Head back to Flurrie's bedroom door, and leave her
necklace by the door. She'll get it and then show her appreciation in a somewhat questionable manner. Then she'll join your
party. Return to The Great Tree and use her wind ability when you are at the place where you and Punio were a while ago.

Punio will go inside and open the door. The red light will turn green. Go to the door and open it to come in. Say good-bye to
Part 1.

---------------------------------------------------------------
15. The Great Boggly Tree (Chapter 2 of the story) Part 2
---------------------------------------------------------------
Inside The Great Boggly Tree. Fascinating...Ok, now head right and two X-nauts from your enemy's organization will attack you.
Just fight back and win!

After you defeat them, a group of 10 Punis will come out after overcoming their fear of themselves being eaten by the rotund
Mario. They will also tell Punio, you, and Flurrie (if you have her out) that the others have been imprisoned. You have to
find the cells that they are keeping them in. So, go through the system of pipes to get there.

First, save your progress, and if you need to, restore your health by paying coins. Go through the pipe in that room. Head to
the pipe in that room, wait later on for the other thing in there with the hole. Go through the pipe, and then head to the pipe
in the northwest corner of the room. Then follow the path through this room and enter the pipe. You'll end up at the cells.

Ok, to get them free, first go over to the blue cell. Talk to Petuni and she'll tell that she wants you to find the key and
free them. To get the Puni Elder free, just head on into the room to the left, and you'll encounter Ms. Mowz again. As usual,
her affection for Mario makes Flurrie jealous. She will give you a clue where the Crystal Star is, which is at the bottom of
the tree. After she leaves, the X-Naut she took out will wake up and accuse you of striking him from behind. Show him what
happens when you insult Mario by taking him down. Then, after your done dealing with the X-naut, pick up the red key he drops.

Use the key to unlock the Puni Elder's cell. When he is finished, head back to the Punies at the entrance. The Elder will
convince them to help you. He'll give you the Puni Orb, and it brings together the Punies in one spot. To get the Crystal
Star, you need this orb to bring all the Punies to your side. If you lose any Punies, you can go back and get them from the
Elder.

Ok, remember the thing in the second room you entered? Put the Puni Orb into the hole and bring them all together. A warp pipe
should appear. Get the orb, and then go down the pipe. Don't worry about the Punies, they have a special hole in the pipes that
they can go through to follow you.

Put the Puni Orb in next pedestal you find and then use Flurrie's Gale Force ability to blow them into the small lake below.
They will get trapped in bubbles, and then when they come up inside the bubbles, move more close to the edge and blow to help
them get across the lake. Then after all of them are across, get the Puni Orb and then jump across the area to get to the other
side. Ok, that sounded just like a familiar joke...Anyway, after getting across, go into the pipe.

Ok, here, be careful, for there is a Pider here. Use Koops' Shell Toss to get the Pider and start a battle so the Punies don't
get scared and fall off the ledge. Yes, this happens all the time. So be careful. Then go down the pipe over on the other side
(that joke earlier seems to be haunting me) and then go right to the pipe in the northeast corner of the room.

There is a badge near one of the Piders, in a red block. To get it, use Koops' Shell Toss to hit a secret yellow block. Jump on
top of it, then jump to hit the red block. If you dropped your Punies by the area near the Pider, here is aperfect, not-a-mistake-
at-all chance to get them back, because the badge will probably fall onto the next level. The badge is Damage Dodge P. It'll cut
the damage your partner gets by 1 with a Guard Action Command. So, when doing a Guard Action Command, your partner will recieve
how much attack the opponent does, but 2 less.

Then go back up the pipe (only if you were getting the badge). Head to where you saw a Jabbi come out of. Head inside there, and
a battle shall occur. Lead your troop into the Jabbi territory and battle for your life! If your troop defeats the Jabbis, they
will destroy the Jabbi hive, creating a hole big enough so you will fit. Inside, head over to the right and go down the stairs,
and then open the chest to get the blue cell key.

Head all the way back to the blue cell and free the Punies trapped inside. The screen should have something say,"90 Punies have
joined your party!" Now there are 101!"

Bring them all back to the place where you got Damage Dodge P. If you'd like, I forgot to mention this earlier, but if you go
down here, and to the left wall, you can use Flurrie's Gale Force on the wall to reveal an entrance to a shop. Here, you can
restore your health for 8 coins, find a Jabbi behind the the stump at the far end, and buy and sell items for money. After your
done, go back to the badge place and go to the upper level's left wall.

Time for your group of Punies to be brave! Honest! Powerful! Time for your Punies to fight the Jabbis for control of The Great
Boggly Tree!!!!!!!!! Fight for your life against the 100 Jabbis! Fight, fight, fight! Here, an epic battle takes place for control
of The Great Boggly Tree! Lead your forces through this great battle! Move it! Move it! Sorry...ahem...er...cough...Anyway, after
defeating the Jabbis, and the Punies emerging victorious, go through the hole that they make by destroying their second hive.

Go down the pipe at the end of the room, and then head to the entrance at the other side (it keeps haunting me, that joke...) If
you put the Puni Orb in the pedestal, you'll be caged in, by a cell. This trap was set by Lord Crump! So, turn into paper and go
down the pipe and memorize the figures in the background. Memorize their order. Hit the black switch, then return all the way back
to the place where you got the blue cell key. You will this time see 4 white switches. When you hit one, one of the figures in the
background will change. Put them in the order you memorized earlier. If you can't remember, here are the figures: Sun, Moon, Puni,
Star.

Head on into the secret entrance (wow, another) revealed and open the chest to receive new Super Boots! You will also meet Toadette,
the one teaching you how to do all of the tricks you will do. She'll explain how to use them. You can also look in #5, under Jump
Techniques.

So, now, with your new ability, head back to the cage, and then Ground Pound/Spin Jump through the wooden panel inside the cage. Get
the Charge badge by jumping from each pedestal in that room, and this badge is the badge you need to have "Charge" as one of your
tactics. The charge P badge (for partner) is in Chapter 3.

Go back up into the cell, and then blow the little Punis into the hole with Flurrie's Gale Force. Grab the orb after they are all
gone and then go to where they are, and then go over back up the pipe, and then through the entrance, back up the pipe at the end
of the room, then place the Puni Orb inside the pedestal. Break through the wooden panel there with a Ground Pound/Spin Jump, and
then get back up there, and blow the Punies with Flurrie's Gale Force into the hole. After they are all gone, get the orb, and go
down the hole with them. Enter the pipe.

Go to the northeast corner of the room, then south until you get to a pipe. Go down the pipe, and then go to the northwest corner
of the room and go down the pipe. Then head to the pipe south of this pipe, and go down it. Jump across the pedestals and head to
the other side(It strikes again! That joke is still creeping me out...). Go up the pipe, and then step on the switch, and then use
Koops' Shell Toss to throw his shell across. Step off the switch, then release Koops. You'll hit the switch. You'll encounter a
whirlpool in the water.

After the water drains, a chest will be revealed. You can open it to get a Shrink Stomp badge, which lets you jump on their opponent,
and shrink them. There is also a Dizzy Dial behind the stairs.Go down the pipe on the left, and then you'll see the room flooded.
Step across the pedestals and lilipads to get to the other side(Not again. This accursed joke haunts me.). Go down the pipe in the
background, and then enter a new room.

Place the Puni Orb in the pedestal, and then go on the moving platform with the Punies. Save your progress, and heal your health too
if needed. Also, there is a mushroom in the bush in the southwest corner. Enter the next room, which is the base of the tree. Your
second Crystal Star awaits you. Place the Puni Orb in the pedestal in that room, then the Crystal Star should appear. But before
you can grab it, Lord Crump comes out from his hiding palce and steals it. Race him back to the entrance before the clock runs out,
or the tree will EXPLODE!!! Run for your life!

First, grab the Puni Orb, and go through the pipe that appears after he escapes. Use the little machine to turn the light green, to
enter the door. Head back up the pipe in the next room, and then up the pipe on that level. Run left quickly to the pipe across the
room, and then go around the area, but first, remember to use Koops' Shell Toss here to hit the Pider so the Punies don't get scared.
I don't think there is one there since you defeated it already. Then go up the next pipe, and then place the Puni Orb in the pedestal
and let Flurrie blow for her life! Then, after they are all gone, jump off the ledge, or across, and down the pipe, and then let them
follow you back up the pipe. Go use the machine thing again and turn the light green. Enter the door. Save your progress, and heal
your health. Get ready for your next boss battle!

Ok, while the Puni Elder is yelling at Lord Crump for being rude, the clock continues to click. So, it is recommended that you shut
their mouths up by finishing their conversation! Thank you. Now, he'll hop into Magnus Von Grapple 1.0, your next boss. Your first
attack can be anywhere on him. His head can be struck with jump attacks, and his feet can be struck with ground attacks. No part
of the body is more vulnerable than the other. After a few series of turns, Magnus Von Grapple will detach both it's fists. They
both fight individually, and they are strong. You may not last long against them. So, take them out in just a turn, because they
fortunately have only 2 HP. Then, after the fists are destroyed, attack the body with anything you got. Keep doing this, and in no
time, you should defeat him. He has 30 HP, 2 ATK, and 1 DEF. (Once again, these are estimated stats.)

ok, after you defeat Magnus Von Grapple 1.0, you can then get the Crystal Star from the Puni Elder. Do you think that he'll be back?
Yeah, pretty much possible that he'll be back. He'll be back, and while he goes, he'll be saying,"I'll be back, and I shall avenge my
loss and have revenge on you all!!! Mwuhahahahahaha--Ow, the stupid robo--Ow, bot's body parts are raini--Ow, raining o--Ow, on me!"

--------------------
New Special Move
--------------------
Your new Special Move is Clock Out! It stops the time for your opponent, and keeps them from moving for about three turns. To
activate, press A, B, or the Y button when it appears over the enemy. Repeatedly press that button over he enemy. The longer you
press it, the longer they can't move.
Uses: 2 SP
Damage: Stops enemy from moving.
Buttons/What to do: Press A, B, or Y button repeatedly when it appears over the enemy.

--------------------
Peach's Event
--------------------
TEC will ask Peach to dance with a simulation/holograph of herself. Press buttons while they appear on the screen to see the dance
skills of a princess. If you want, before coming to TEC, you can go over to the shower and take one to hear Peach hum a different
tune.

--------------------
Bowser's Event
--------------------
Funny, we all know, you'll be playing a level of Super Mario Bros., in World 1-1. You have unlimited lives, so it doesn't matter
if you die. Walk through the level happily (actually angrily) while you burst everything in your path to rubble! Ain't that sweet?
Probably pick up meat on your way until Bowser is the size of your screen. You'll get to Petalburg and then you should be able to
see a funny moment where Bowser mistakes a poster for Peach herself.

---------------------------------------------------------------
16. Of Glitz and Glory (Chapter 3 of the story) Part 1
---------------------------------------------------------------
Yeah, this is my favorite chapter. The one after though is almost everyone's hated chapter. The next one is about a Creepy Steeple
building that you venture in, with ghosts fusing together and attacking, and moving staircases, boulders, and other things, and a
creepy person who you won't know the name of steals your name and body, and you turn into Shadow Mario. Well, that revealed too
much. Creeping you out, huh? It's all 100% true. Anyway, head back to the pedestal and stand on it to find the location of the
next Crystal Star. You'll find it is in the air, and you'll also probably think that there is no way to get there. Think again.

Of course there is a way up there! Why would they put it in the sky?! Whatever, anyway, to get there, you need to get there by
blimp. You don't know where the blimp is though, so consult Professor Frankly and he'll tell you what to do. He does tell you to go
to the west side. First, go to the shop and purchase the contact lens I told you in the Prolugue. Head back to Zess T. and give
her the contact lens.

She'll let you cross over to the west side(now a movie is haunting me). head over to the shop and purchase a Dried Shroom and a
Dizzy Dial from the item shop. When the Clerk asks what your favorite color is, answer yellow. Go out the back door, and head up
the stairs to the door. Enter the door and talk to Don Pianta, the leader at the desk. He'll ask you to find his daughter, and
her boyfriend. So, head over to the harbor where you came in the Prolugue.

When you get there, they will act crazy! The daughter will say,"WHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAT?!? Daddy asked you to find us? And take us to
him?!?" So, they'll probably refuse to come with you. Return to Don Pianta, and answer his question any way yould like. Pick up
your blimp ticket and head over to the north side of town, and enter the next area. You'll see a train, and a blimp in the
background. The train is for Chapter 6. Just talk to the Cheep Cheep checking for tickets. He'll let you get on when you show him
the ticket. Go down the pipe and then head left to get on the blimp. Watch a small cut scene of them riding to GLitzville. I think
you can skip it with pressing A.

Ok, here, I'm revealing a few Star Pieces and one Shine Sprite. There is a Shine Sprite block near the entrance of the big building
with the Chain Chomp on it. To get the Shine Sprite, smack the shadow, and a block will appear. You can use it to stand on and jump
to reach the Shine Sprite. Near the entrance of the building are 4 bushes. The two on the left, go between them or behind them to
get a Star Piece. Go inside the juice shop, and go behind the counter all the way to the left to get a Shine Sprite. There is one
Star Piece you can get by hitting the big switch near the southeast corner of town. You'll unfold a set of stairs. Go use Koops'
Shell Toss under the billboard of the yellow person (which you'll learn about later) to nab a Star Piece. Use your Ground Pound/
Spin Jump just south of where you landed from the blimp. Inside the phone booth in the southwest corner of town is a Star Piece.

Head over to the building with the Chain Chomp on it. It is actually called Glitz Pit. Head inside and then open the double doors
to witness the yellow person you saw earlier. His name is Rawk Hawk. After a second or two of trash talk with his opponent, he'll
hold up his belt, since he is the champion(Don't worry, you shouldn't feel envious. You'll be holding that belt soon enough.).
Your partner will realize that on the belt is the Crystal Star. You partner thinks you and him/her will have to fight your way
to the top to get that belt.

Head back to the lobby of the Glitz Pit and then head to the northwest corner of the room. Talk to the guard, and he'll ask why
you are here. Mario will answer and tell him he wants to become a fighter. So he'll let you in. Head all the way left, and as
soon as the screen moves, go into the first door that comes up in the second hall. That will be the room where you sign up to
fight. You'll take a brief tour of the locker rooms and champion's room. Then Grubba (that is the guy that gave you a tour, the
person you saw with the microphone at the arena, and the person at the office) will ask you to sign the contract to be able to
fight. Do "Sign me up!", or who knows what'll happen if you say "I don't think so." His assistant, Jolene, will bring you to
new locker room in the minor league. A bit dirty. Jolene will explain some rules in the game, and what to do when you are ready
to fight. Make sure you understand the rules.

Fight your way up to rank 15, and leave the Glitz Pit. You'll see the owner of the hotdog stand chasing a runaway egg. Help him
chase the egg until it hops on top of the stand. Then go back to where you used a switch to create stairs. Go back on the top of
the juice shop and then use the trampoline to get to the top and go on the paper airplane panel. Fly over to the hotdog stand and
then agree to help the egg. I don't know what'll happen if you put "Let there be hot dogs!". Probably you have to chase the egg
all over again. Then let the egg follow you.

Fight your way up to the 10th ranked team. None of your attacks will work, because their defense is unlimited. So, you have no
choice, but to run away. Don't spend your time buying items and raising your attacks! This is the first loss you'll have, and the
first one that you need. Next, when you get back to the locker room, the egg that you had with you will be gone, but you find a
Yoshi that hatched from the egg. So, it won't have a name, but you get to name him. Somehow, in the next chapter, you won't be
able to use the letter P for naming the person that stole your name and body. Gah, that reveals too much. I'm going to stop
talking about Chapter 4 for a while.

Anyway, name him what you want, in this guide, I'll just call him Yoshi. Ok, so when you finish battling the 9th ranked team
(since you lost to the 10th ranked team), use Yoshi as your partner. Fight the 10th ranked team again, and then they'll talk
about your new partner, Yoshi. They'll say,"A new partner doesn't matter, we'll still take them down!" So, use Yoshi's Gulp
ability to attack them. Since there is nothing that can hit them, the only thing hard enough to penetrate their bodies are
themselves. With Yoshi's gulp ability, you'll be able to swallow one of them, that doesn't do damage, but then spit them at
their own ally. So, you attack them easily this way. Then the two Iron Clefts (they are the things you fought) will say,"What?!
They found a way to attack us! No matter! We'll still take 'em down!"

If you (and you should have with your new partner) defeated them, then Jolene will bring you to your next locker room. The new,
much more cleaner, and better locker room of the major-league. Feel happy, and restore your health at the bed. Then keep it up
for the nice room of the Champion! Also, say bye to Part 1.

---------------------------------------------------------------
17. Of Glitz and Glory (Chapter 3 of the story) Part 2
---------------------------------------------------------------
Once you get to the 8th rank, you'll receive an e-mail from someone called X. When you receive it, some frightening music might
start. Creepy. Just creepy. It'll instruct you to go to the watering hole. For you non-slangers, it means the juice shop. I'm not
a slanger myself, but I just learned that. So, head to the juice shop and then talk to the guy cleaning his glass(Not glasses, a
glass, you know you drink out of it?). He loves hammers, and he gives you a hammer called Hammer(something like Hammernator)3000.
Actually, it is the Super Hammer. Toadetter comes back again, just like when you got Super Boots. Oh yeah, if you don't remember,
the better boots and hammer you have, then the more damage you'll deal. By the time you have Ultra Hammer/Ultra Boots, then you
can deal 6 HP in one turn. Also, if you forget how to use these items, look in #6 under jump techniques and hammer techniques.

Bring your hammer to the minor-league locker room. The guard before won't let you in, since you are already in the major-league.
But he tells you that somehow, they told him to let you in. So, go back in, and the huge block that you saw before, smash it.
Enter the next room and then jump atop the desk, then computer, then the shelf. Use Yoshi's float power to float across the gap,
and then get the Dubious Paper. Once you go out though, Jolene will confiscate the paper you got, and also get mad for smashing
the arena's walls. I don't even know why this would happen, so what would be the use of getting it anyway? Oh, yeah, without
following his instructions, you can't continue battling.

After defeating the 7th ranked team, your brand-new arch nemises will challenge you for revenge. Remember the Iron Clefts? Have
Yoshi ready for the element of surprise. (Not really element of surprise.) Defeat them again with Yoshi's Gulp, and then after
emerging victorious, you'll be back to the locker room. The frightening music shall start! Actually, it's not an e-mail from X.
It's an e-mail from someone mysterious. It couldn't be X, because X has messy typing. iT LoOKs juST lIKe thIs. Anyway, you
receive an anonymous e-mail warning you to mid your own beeswax(or business, if you don't know what this means). Not one to
respond kindly to threats, Mario will go on a rampage and smack everyone in the room with a steel folding chair. (I got that
from Nintendo Power. And, that won't really happen.)

Once you get to the 6th rank, an adoring fan will leave a piece of cake for you. You can eat it to refill your HP, FP, and Star
Power(that will be SP from now on) completely, and then go to your next match. After you defeat the Magikoopas, an old acquaintance
will come from the southeast corner and jump on stage, and ask to challenge you like ol' time's sake. So, yeah, you should have
known, it's Bowser. Take the Koopa King out A.S.A.P., because his bite can drain your Hp very easily.

When you get back to the locker room after defeating the 4th ranked team, you'll receive an e-mail from X, telling you to go to
the phone booth. So, go to the southwest corner of town, and pick up the key there. Head back to the backstage area. Go to the
storage room, which is between both the champion's door, and the office door. Open the room and then use Flurrie's Gale Force on
the left-side crates. Just to tell you, this is where I got stuck once, it was almost a permanent roadblock. So, after, hit all
the blocks with your hammer, and then hit the switch to reveal a staircase. Also, the Charge badge for your partner (Charge P)
that I talked about in Chapter 2 is in the right-side crates. Just do what you did with the blocks on the left side.

Upstairs here, jump atop the crates, and use Yoshi's float power to go over the gap, and get to the other side(the joke is still
haunting me, but that movie isn't). Then smash the big, yellow block with your new hammer. Remember, hold the B button, then
rotate the control stick clockwise, and then release the B button. Go down the hole, and you can get that badge that is revealed
by going back up on the crates, then using Yoshi's float power over the gap to the badge, then jump down the hole, and you better
get this badge, it's good for your partner. It is the HP Plus P badge, which raises the MAX HP of your partner by 5.

Inside the ventilation shaft, go right and when you see a hole, press A when the exclamation point appears to spy on Grubba and
Jolene's conversation. When Grubba hears you, you can say any of the choices below that are safe. I picked the mouse noise, and I
safe. Actually, I don't remember what all choices were, I just remember the cat and mouse you could pick. There should be more...

After beating the number-three team, DON'T EAT THE PIECE OF CAKE JOLENE BRINGS TO YOU!!! YOUR PARTNER WILL NOT BE ABLE TO BATTLE
IN THE NEXT FIGHT! DON'T EAT THE CAKE! DON'T EAT IT! DON'T EAT IT! DON'T EAT IT! Thank you. Don't eat it, because when you return,
one of the fellows ate your cake, and you'll see them looking all dizzy. So rude taking your cake, huh? Well, himself acting like
that means he deserved it.

Fight your way to the Dark Koopatrol's spot(Dark Koopatrol is the thing you saw Rawk Hawk attack in his battle when he held up
his belt. He is the #1 ranked person. So, go back to the lobby and use Flurrie's Gale Force onto the second level's left poster.
You'll find a key for the storage room. one of the doors are unlocked by this.

Head back to the second level of the storage room, and open the door on your right with the key. Enter the room, and then go
across the gap with Yoshi's float power. Then go around the crates, and hit the giant yellow block with your hammer. You'll find
two friends of yours from the minor-league lying down on the ground. When you go back to the second level, Jolene will open the
door and find you in there. Go back to the locker room and register for your match with Rawk Hawk.

But, instead of the security guard taking you to the battle arena, he'll lock you in the minor-league locker room, not the red one,
that's the one you were in. He'll lock you in the blue one. Head to the southeast corner of the room, and then use Flurrie's Gale
Force on the poster of Princess Peach, and then walk all the way to the right to get to a door. Open the door, and enter the next
room. You'll be in the blue major-league locker room. Now, I know this is disgusting, but go to the southeast corner of the room
and open the restroom door. Flush yourself down the toilet and you'll end up in the restroom at the major-league locker room that
is red. That is the one you are supposed to be in. Go out of the locker room and enter the stage entrance. Everyone should be
cheering for you, for you are about to defeat the champion. Watch out, he has 30 HP, 4 ATK, and 1 DEF. (These are yet again,
estimated stats.)

Just fire away until you've depleted more than half his HP. He'll hand from the rafters so you can only attack him with Flurrie's
Body Slam, or your Quake Hammer. Try having Yoshi out there, and follow my own personal strategy to defeat Rawk Hawk. Before
Yoshi starts any attacks, if he is at least level 2, use Mini-egg, to shrink Rawk Hawk. It'll stop him from being able to hang
there on the ceiling. Or if you have any Mini Mr. Minis, use them on him. This will help you have more choices for battling, give
less damage to yourself, and be able to have a huge advantage against him.

After you defeat Rawk Hawk, Jolene will take you to your new digs: the champion's room. If you are finished admiring the room,
loving the life-sized poster of Mario, and looking at your presents, then climb atop your beloved presents. Ride Yoshi across to
the doorframe, and then to the dresser. Use your Super Hammer move to break the vent shaft, then walk through the vent. Listen to
what Grubba is talking about, then bash the vent again with your Super Hammer move, and break in. Walk over to the cabinets, and
open the right-side drawer. When you open it, Grubba will walk in on you. He'll see you, and then he'll run to the arena. Give
chase, and get ready for your next boss dude! Layeth the smacketh down! Sorry.

Ok, he'll show you his great self. He shows you the Crystal Star, and he tells you that he is powered up by it. That's how you
see him all big, orange, spiky on his shell, and his giant hair. ok, careful, because at the beginning of the fight, Macho Grubba
(That's his name because he's big right? Right.) can act twice per turn. He uses the additional action to increase any of his stats.
He'll increase ATK, DEF, or evade, I didn't know there was an evade, what is it? Anyway, be careful because some attacks of his can
hit you and your partner at the same time. Each one of his stat-increases only lasts for one round, and he must renew his
double-action ability every three rounds. Save some of your heavy artillery for the second half of the match, when Macho Grubba
increases his stats and power beyond the limit of the first half. Also, when his defense is high, you won't do much damage, so
save your FP, and spend that turn charging, then hit him with a juiced-up Power Bounce.

After defeating Macho Grubba, the machine will be left. A perfect explanation for the Machoness of Grubba will pop out of the
Crystal Star. I forgot his name, uh, Toad Mush, no, King Toad? No, Toad Tantalizer? Nah. Oh well, he comes out, and Jolene will
say thank you Gonzales. (Yeah, that was Mario's nickname, right?) Also, thank you for having my brother freed from the clutches
of Grubba. (Yup, that legendary fighter (the Toad person) is the brother of Jolene.) The Crystal Star comes down, and is given
to you.

--------------------
New Special Move
--------------------
Your new Special Move is Power Lift! You fill up a gauge by moving the cursor over the red and blue arrows. The red arrows raise
ATK. The blue raise DEF. The poisonous mushrooms probably lower some stats...The stats are raised only for a few turns.
Uses: 3 SP
Damage: None, it raises your stats.
Buttons/What to do: Move the cursor with the control stick to move it over the arrows facing up. Don't put the cursor over the
poisonous mushrooms. Fill up a gauge to raise your stat by +1.

--------------------
Peach's Event
--------------------
In this event, TEC will ask you to dress up as an X-naut and talk to Sir Grodus. Take the elevator to the top floor, and enter
the door with the green light over it to your right. Check all lockers for a uniform, then go behind the curtain to change. You'll
find Sir Grodus at the east end of the hall. After the conversation, head back to TEC's room.

--------------------
Bowser's Event
--------------------
The poor Punies can't seem to be able to get a moments peace. Mario, our hero, didn't seem to frighten them enough. And so, Bowser
comes along and is the late one. He seems to give them quite a scare, yes indeed. Search the far-right bush to talk to the Elder.
You can search the rest of the bushes to terrify and horrify the Punies. It's not necessary, but it is funny.

---------------------------------------------------------------
18. For Pigs The Bell Tolls (Chapter 4 of the story) Part 1
---------------------------------------------------------------
Head to the pedestal in front of the Thousand-Year-Door. You'll learn the next location of the next Crystal Star is at a place
called Creepy Steeple. Talk to Professor Frankly and he'll tell you the pipe is on the west side of town.

When you're ready to head on over to the spooky chapter, the one almost everyone hates, even your own partners, turn into paper
mode and slip down the metal grate on the west side of Rogueport in the middle of this side of town. Ride Yoshi to the ledge on
your left side, and then head to the green door, and at least try to go down the pipe. It'll reject you. I returned to Rogueport
in Chapter 3, and encountered this pipe. I tried going down it too. I thought I couldn't go in because I wasn't on this chapter
yet. But then I realized. So, consult with Professor Framkly again and tell him about it. He said an old resident of the town
named Darkly lived behind his place and Merlon's place.

Head back here by just walking into the middle of the wall right on the left of Merlon's place. Keep walking left then you should
see some man. Talk to him, he should know how to get there. He'll write something on your behinds, I forgot what. He'll wish you
good luck, then you can go back to the pipe and try again. Go down the pipe, and you'll be able to do it this time.

When you arrive, the Mayor, Mayor Dour, will invite you to his house and explain the village's explanation. After, go to the gate
at the east end of the town. Along the way, I'll tell you three Star Pieces. Ok, go between the first house and the Mayor's house
for one. Go to the bushes and behind or in one of them should be another. In the second area, behind the barrels near the end of
town, is one more. Ok, head back to the gate, and also, somehow, you can talk to some of the people to learn their stories, even
though they don't matter as much as the info you need.

The gatekeeper won't let you in, because you need the Mayor's permission. On your way to the Mayor's, you'll hear the bell, and
that means someone has turned into a pig. Go to the house, and you would have never known--it's the mayor this time. Though the
bell rings again, and fortunately, it was the gatekeeper that turned into the pig. Head back here to make that happen. The
gatekeeper "seems to let you pass by", that's what oink means, right?

Go inside the small house that appears first on the path. go inside, and search around for a black key, and later on the path is
a yellow block. Go on top of it and jump to find a hidden Super Shroom. Continue down the path until a fallen tree blocks your way.
Use Koops' Shell Toss to reach the Shop Key. You need it to get a new paper-folding ability, and to get some precious items. Head
back to town.

Go to the shop and then talk to the lady. Use the key on the door in the northeast corner of the room, and then a black chest will
be there, yet again, lying to you. Open it, and then let it work it's dark magic on you. It will [sarcastically again, so called]
"curse" you with the ability to turn into a paper tube. To turn into a tube, turn into paper mode, and then rotate your control
stick clockwise.

Ok, then get some of the items inside that room. Head back to where you got the key. Turn into a tube and roll yourself under the
tree. Then use Flurrie's Gale Force on the tree after that tree. A pipe will be revealed, so, go down the pipe. You'll emetge in
the background, and then walk left to enter the woods. Follow the paths, and you can hit the block in the first area for an
Earth Quake item. Then enter the next area.

Hit the ? block to get a Hammer Throw badge, with this, you can throw your hammer just like a Hammer Bro. When you get to the tree
in this area at the end, use the power of the wind (Flurrie's Gale Force) to blow away some paper and reveal a hole. Go through it,
then continue into the next area.

In this area, you should be able to see an open area with no grass, and a dark spot in the middle. Use the force (Flurrie's Gale
Force, and that movie struck again haunting me...) on the dark spot to reveal a few boards. Use your Ground Pound/Spin Jump here
to break the boards, and make it through to the background. Head to the rock in the background, and push to push the rock in the
foreground. You'll reveal a hole, so, go back, and jump through it, to get past the rock.

Continue through the woods to get to the haunted mansion, or as the townspeople call it, Creepy Steeple. Yeah, this is what I told
you about in Chapter 3. Save your progress, heal your health, and then there is a Star Piece somewhere in the trees. Ok, then turn
tubular(tube mode), and instead of the front gate, since it is locked tight and Flurrie's wind power isnt strong enough to open it
too, go through the small hole just near the southeast corner of this area. Then walk up to the door. No need for a doorbell.
Besides, then all the creatures and ghosts will open the door and attack you at once. (Nah, that won't happen, but still, there is
no doorbell.) Enter the building, and be afraid, be very afraid...Before you enter and turn tubular or save progress, heal health,
and get that Star Piece, your partner tells you to grab the Crystal Star so you can get out of there.

Ok, near the east end of the hall is a statue that has a star at the top. Push it to the right to fall down a hole and prepare for
a big land. Use Flurrie's Gale Force in the background of the room to reveal an entrance, and then walk right to find a chest that
has the badge Flower Saver. The badge makes more flowers appear after battle for FP.

Head back and then head left to the next room, and then open the white box in the middle of the room to release a huge flock of
(gaggle? murder? No.) Boos. When one Boo asks you this question: "Just now, when the box opened... How many of us Boos came out?
Total!" Answer to the boo "200" to get an Ultra Shroom, and a funny insult. After, go back to the room you came from, and jump back
up from the spring to get back to the room. Talk to the Boo in the room all alone, and tell him that you won't be mean, and then
suddenly, OMG(OH MY GOSH)!

All the Boos you freed shall emerge, and then they'll try to pick you up and throw you out of the steeple. You can use the Spin
Hammer to make them go away, but if you use it twice(Only twice? C'mon!), then the Boos will combine and form an Atomic Boo. You'll
probably not want to watch, or your Halloweens could be down the drain. Actually, if you like scary, this is perfect! Upsetting the
Boos is completely optional, though I don't know how to get back in, and if you win the battle against the Atomic Boo, you can get
a Lucky Start badge, which makes something good happen when you first enter battle.

Go through the door in the foreground of the room, and then head right all the way to the end, and then hit the switch. Go through
the door closest to the switch, and then go up the stairs to the door. Enter the next room, and you'll be back in the first room,
except on the second floor. Go to the right and use Yoshi to ride over the first gap, and then use Koops' Shell Toss at the second
gap to get the Steeple Key. You can use Yoshi's float ability here to get the key too. Go back to the room with the staircase you
just climbed and then enter the door in the background. Hit the switch two times and head back in, but first find a small opening
in the fence and slip through it and head right. Hit the gold-colored tree to get a Golden Leaf. You might not want to come back,
so I'm telling you the treasures you can find here. Also, if you head back to the room where you first entered, there is a small
hole that you can roll through as a tube in the background wall near the entrance. One treasure in there is a cookbook, for a side
quest at the Trouble Center. There is also a Star piece somewhere in there. The badge Ice Smash is in there, a Shine Sprite is in
there, and the Ice Smash badge let's you use an icy hammer when attacking an enemy.

Go back to the room with the staircase, and climb the newly moved staircase to the door, and enter the door. Head right all the
way, then unlock the door with the Steeple Key. Ok, that's weird...It's your next boss encounter, but Part 2 hasn't gone by yet.
Oh well, just continue up there. Oh, yeah there is a Star Piece in the room with the staircase. To get it, Ground Pound/Spin Jump
"near" (ok, near, not right there) the end of the staircase. Then, somewhere, a hole will appear, then disappear, but it'll reveal
a Star Piece. Take it and go. Go back to the room that you were climbing up in(The room with the lock on the door.). Go all the way
up and jump on the spring to go talk to your boss.

At the top, you'll encounter the person responsible for turning our people into pigs. The unnamed boss starts off with one easily
defended move, then at the time you deplete half its HP, he will turn into a shadow form of Mario. He'll say,"Now your fighting
yourself! Ha! I'm a dang genius!" So, he'll also start mimicking your attacks(Hammer and Jump only, not Special). But he shouldn't
give too much trouble, because your partner gives a bigger advantage for your side. And here comes Part 2! Weird, I know, but you
shall see why Part 2 only comes now...

---------------------------------------------------------------
19. For Pigs The Bell Tolls (Chapter 4 of the story) Part 2
---------------------------------------------------------------
Ok, after defeating the unnamed, mysterious, cruel boss, the chapter will "seemingly" end. But too bad. During the battle, somehow,
the boss actually stole your body "and" name. It is weird, we all know. So, because of this, you'll be left in control of the Shadow
Mario. Head back to town with your new body, but be extra cautious and careful, because you won't have any of your partners with you.
So, it's going to be a tough fight back to town. Oh yeah, and you should be able to do your paper-folding abilities still.

Right before you reach town, and right before the shack where you got the black key, you'll encounter the boss with your body and name.
So, he'll ask you if you knew his name before he stole your body and name. Even if you knew his name, you wouldn't even be able to
enter the name. Remember in Chapter 3, I said something about the letter "p"? Yeah, you need that letter to enter his name. I'll just
go ahead and tell you his name: Doopliss. If you use the capital P in his name, it won't work, I tried doing it. So, just enter
whatever you like(Stupid, Cruel(yeah, you can try naming him that), Hello, etc.), and then since you didn't guess his name correctly,
then he'll start a battle. But, when you battle him, you and him have like, unlimited defense. So, because of (I don't know if it
really is unlimited defense, just no matter what you do, you or him can't hit each other.) unlimited defense, you'll just have to run
away. Of course, after you do, he'll groan and feel sad he couldn't finish the battle. And, Shadow Mario will actually run to Twilight
Town for you. Oh yeah, and when the [not] "real" Mario appears, he'll break a page in your story.

In town, head to the west side and then talk to the Shadow Siren, Vivian. Don't feel scared, she is nice and gentle when you talk to
her. (She'll eventually become yor partner too!) She'll state she's missing a Superbombomb(whatever that is). Search the bush on the
far-left side and then you'll find it. give the Superbombomb to her, and then to repay your kindness, she'll join your party. Later
though, when she finds out your Mario in your battle with the big boss, Doopliss, she'll ditch you, but then join you a few moments
later in battle.

Her ability is that she can hide you and her with your Veil. You can hide yourself from enemies and then they'll feel questioned. Also,
use this ability near trees in Twilight Town, and you can listen to the conversations that occur between the crows. Go to the tree with
the birds near the gate to get some good information.

[So called] "Mario" will ambush you again. So, he'll ask if you know his name. Enter anything you like. Probably Creepy, Freaky, or Weirdo
might be good to insult him secretly. After, he'll start another battle. Flee, and this time you'll head to the right. So, keep following
the path again to get to Creepy Steeple. Instead of going inside tubular, go jump down the thingy with the rope near it, it's a well.

There is a Shine Sprite somewhere in that room that you land in. Then after you are done, head to the right and then deal with the giant
group of the Buzzy Beetles and Spike Tops. Head to the block and hit it to get a Tornado Jump badge. It damages all mid-air enemies if
executed superbly. If you wear more than one, the ATK power will increase. Head right and push the barrier to the top of the incline, and
then use Vivian's Veil to hide. The barrier will slide right on top of you, letting you proceed to the next area.

Enter the door and then save your progress and get the Shine Sprite. Turn into a tube and roll through the small hole in the right-side
wall. Then go up the small incline, still as a tube, and then use your Ground Pound/Spin Jump on the wooden panel. You'll end up in the
room where you released the 200 Boos, got an Ultra Shroom, and received a funny insult. Then head to the left and open the door. You
couldn't enter this door earlier because it wasn't the end of the Chapter. In here, open the two brown chests to get a Power Plus badge,
and a Mr. Softener. The Power Plus badge increases Mario's jump and hammer attack by one. The white chest with the green design contains
your letter "P". The other one contains a Steeple Key, I guess you need a second one. Then, use Vivian's Veil next to the parrot. The
parrot will reveal the tormentor's name: Doopliss. Oh yeah, then Ground Pound/Spin Jump near the door to reveal a Star Piece.

Head all the way back to town, and then Doopliss will ask once more. Enter his name correctly: D-o-o-p-l-i-s-s. Then, he'll say,"What
did you just say?!?" The screen on your TV will twirl. I just kept watching the pattern because for a while, it made me feel dizzy.
Weeeee!!! Anyway, he'll flee all the way back to the Steeple. Give chase and follow him all the way back to the top of Creepy Steeple.
Get ready for your next boss encounter!

When you reach the top, all of your partners except Vivian will be on Doopliss' side. Vivian will find out that you are Mario and ditch
you for a while, leaving you alone to fight. Ok, keep all your attacks on your look-alike, actually, he is you. Anyway, focus your
attacks on Doopliss and don't attack your partners. If you knock one out, another will simply jump in to take place(Also, doing so may
make you feel guilty about attacking your own friends. Doopliss has 40 HP, 4 ATK, and no DEF. You probably might not get used to guarding
against your own attacks. So, it is a good idea that you use your new Special Move from earlier, Power Lift, to raise both your ATK and DEF.
Vivian will join you later on in the battle, so don't worry about being alone for the whole match. After you defeat Doopliss, your friends
will stop attacking.

After you defeat Doopliss, your friends will stop, and notice that Doopliss stole your body and name. Your friends will ask for forgiveness,
and so you should give it to them. Magically, you return back to your normal self.

--------------------
New Special Move
--------------------
Your new Special Move is Art Attack! It does unlimited damage, and you can also practice your art skills too! It attacks all enemies you
trap in the circle that you draw. Just easily draw a circle with the control stick around your enemy, and then boom, they lose HP! Your
circles don't have to be perfect, but they need to at least be closed. If your Grandpa is a veteran at Bill Cosby's PicturePages, let
him do this attack for you, 'cause it'll be as easy as 1, 2, and 3, but without the 2 and 3.
Uses: 4 SP
Damage: U N L I M I T E D D A M A G E !
Buttons/What to do: Use control stick to draw an oval, circle, or any figure around the enemy. Try to get the enemy to not touch the edge
of the figure, or it attacks with less HP. Repeatedly draw circles for more damage.

Peach's Event
--------------------
Tec will ask some questions to Princess Peach.
Answer as the following:
1.) Thousand-Year-Door opens.
2.) To conquer the world.
3.) A 1,000-year-old demon's soul.
4.) Bring the demon back to life.
5.) Crystal Stars.

--------------------
Bowser's Event
--------------------
In Bowser's event, you'll see the Koopa King try to get to Glitzville. His machine will break down, and fall into the sea. You will then play
a level of Super Mario Bros. World 1-2! You have unlimited lives too. This level was inspired by the game too. There ain't no strategy since
you got unlimited lives, so just soak in those sweet tunes while knocking out everything in your path, and reducing it to rubble.

---------------------------------------------------------------
20. The Key to Pirates (Chapter 5 of the story) Part 1
---------------------------------------------------------------
Head back to the Thousand-Year-Door, and you'll figure out that the next location of the Crystal Star is Keelhaul Key. Head to the inn and
talk to Flavio, the guy near the table with the red skull at the east end of the room. He'll offer to take you to Keelhaul Key, no matter
how you answer his question. Head to the harbor, and talk to Flavio again on his ship. He'll say he needs a man named Admiral Bobbery.
Eventually, this guy will become your partner. Head to the east side of town, and right before the bridge, ride Yoshi across the river south
of the bridge, and then climb up the crates to get to the rooftop. Ground Pound/Spin Jump there to reveal a Star Piece. Also, there is a
Shine Sprite behind the house, and to reach it, there is a hole somewhere in the crates. Slip throuhg it, and walk all the way to drop down.
Then get the Shine Sprite, and then go over the river by riding Yoshi again. Then use Paper Mode again in the slot between two houses. Go back
across the river by riding Yoshi, and get back on the rooftop. Then, ride across the rooftop to the house to the left. Go behind the chimney
to get a Star Piece. Then roll down the chimney to get into the house, but is it Christmas time already? Mario doesn't even look like Santa.
Anyway, talk to the Bob-omb in there, and then get a Star Piece hidden behind the small table(probably). Then go into the next room and get
the Shine Sprite. After, head back to the inn, and talk to Podley, the butler cleaning the glass, like what you saw in Glitzville. Then, head
back to the house of the Admiral, through the door this time, and talk to the admiral. He'll admit he is Admiral Bobbery, and then after, head
back to the inn. Talk to Podley, and ask him to tell Bobbery's story. Then deliver the letter that he gives to Bobbery, and then after he reads
it, Bobbery will join you on your quest(not your party, but soon he will join your party). Also, when you leave, you'll see that the guy that
looks very familiar, just like Lord Crump ('cause he is Lord Crump) will say something in his wristwatch. Then you'll see that an X-naut will
appear, getting Lord Crump's message. Be aware with what happens since you're with him.

Um, let's just say that you trip to Keelhaul Key won't go very well. Let's say that you ended up on the beach of the key feeling happy and then
the boss just gives you the Crystal Star for free. Not going to happen. Sorry, but actually, you'll be haunted for coming to the key by some
Embers, blue flames and spirits of the key. You'll still get to your destination, but your ship is destroyed, meaning that you can't return
to Rogueport. Once you reach your destination, Ground Pound/Spin Jump near the slab of rock near the entrance. Be prepared to battle 3 of the
ghostly Embers once you enter the next area.

After defeating the Embers, everyone notices your bravery, so they'll nominate you to find a way off the island. So, first get the Star Piece
in the ocean. Just a few steps south of the umbrella is where it is. The second one is behind the big rock near the east exit. Enter the east
exit to get into the jungle.

In the jungle, the mighty jungle, the creatures sleep tonight(Lion King song). Heh-heh. Ok, in the first bush inside the jungle is a Star Piece.
Then hit the ? block for a Head Rattle item. Then, in a hidden block is a Courage Shell. Continue heading right into the next part of the jungle.

Keep heading right and then you should end up at a yellow ? block. Stand on it, and then jump. The block revealed will help you be able to get
over the gap with Yoshi. There is a Star Piece somewhere right before the first step. Then climb up these steps and go through the small tunnel
and then jump across a few gaps, and then when you reach the one with the block, ride Yoshi across to the block. Then, ride Yoshi again to the
second ledge. Climb up a few more steps, and then there is a Shine Sprite in mid-air. Ride Yoshi to the brown block, then jump to get the Shine
Sprite. Then continue right to a ? block, and hit it to get a Thunder Rage item. Continue into the next area.

When you get near the on the bridge, you'll see not far from you the 3 missing members from the attack of the ship. You'll see a Toad, Admiral
Bobbery, and the one they call Four-Eyes, which is Lord Crump in disguise. After you are forced to flee, go back across the bridge and attack
the Embers circling the palm tree. Then hit the palm tree with your hammer, and Admiral Bobbery will fall down. Talk to him and he'll say that
his last request before he passes away is Chuckola Cola. Head back to camp, but when you get back to the bridge, go to the west side of the area,
and then go directly in front of the entrance to the next area back to camp. Go a few steps south, and then you should fall onto a staircase. Go
down the staircase, then ride Yoshi across to the small isle. Then ride him again to the next small isle. Go right and then down the pipe. You'll
end up in the background, on the small island. Hammer the coconut tree to get a coconut to trade for the Chuckola Cola, since they need it for
food. Also, if you go to the east end of the bridge, slip through the last slot, and you'll land on, well, land. Then move south off the ledge,
and then search the bush there for an Ice Power badge, which you might like to equip, because, it let's you jump on fire enemys without getting
hurt. And there are many fire enemy's in Part 2. Go up the trampoline and grab the Shine Sprite hidden somewhere behind the leaves. Take it and
go back to camp.

When you get back to camp, talk to Flavio, and then he'll tell that they need some food to trade for the Chuckola Cola. Trade him the coconut,
and then get the Chuckola Cola. Head back to Bobbery and then give him the Chuckola Cola. After he says "good-bye Mario", bonk him on the head
with your hammer. The confused Bob-omb will join your party. Then head back to the camp.

Talk to Flavio and then after his chat, everyone will vote for him to come with you to help find the Crystal Star. He won't be with you all the
time. He'll only not be with you when you enter the cave(you'll see later by what I mean). So, head back all the way to where you found Bobbery,
except all the way to the right. You'll see a skull rock.

Talk to Flavio (he won't be at camp, he'll be right there standing and singing) after examining the skull-shaped rock. Talk to him, and when he
is done singing, ask him to give you the Skull Gem, the red thing you saw that he had with him earlier. Place the gem in the rock's eye(the one
without the patch), and then you'll activate the mustachio stones near the rock. Flavio's song provided you clues on what to do with these rocks.
(Just to tell you, the song he was singing referred to Mario and Luigi.) If you don't understand how, then do three Ground Pounds/Spin Jumps on
the red stone, and smack the blue stone four times with your hammer. Then toss Bobbery onto the platform that appears to blast open an entrance.
Say "see-ya Part 1"!

---------------------------------------------------------------
21. The Key to Pirates (Chapter 5 of the story) Part 2
---------------------------------------------------------------
Enter the cave. There is some Ruin Powder somewhere in the southwest corner of the first room. Save your progress, 'cause trust me. Enter the
next room, and uh, probably try your best not to get frightened by the "OoOoOoOoOoOoOoOo...". You might throw a chair or your computer, or
anything heavy at it to stop the noise, therefore breaking your gamecube. Head downward and into the next area.

In the next area, stand at the tip of the first sunken boat, and jump to get a Shine Sprite. Then head right on the northern path. The southern
path can't take you anywhere, because the ship's tip is too high. Be careful when venturing through the spikes. Either use Yoshi's quick running
ability and then let go and use Paper mode to not get hit by the spikes, or Vivian's Veil by walking quickly, then using her ability. I prefer
Vivian's Veil because it felt like it was easier. Enter the next area.

Incomi-i-i-ng! Watch out for the Bullet Bills shot from the Bill Blasters on the east side of the room. You can either fight the Bullet Bills,
or hide from them with Vivian's Veil. Though fighting them will give you barely any EXP(Experience Points). But you have no choice to fight the
Bill Blasters, because you can't jump over them--you'll start a battle with a succesive strike. You can start the battle with your hammer or with
your jump. Enter the next room after defeating them.

Cross the broekn bridge in the next room, then ride Yoshi across the river. Enter the next room with the entrance in the southeast corner of the
area.

Climb atop a few stairs in the next area, then save your progress. Go up all the way to the top step, and use Koops' Shell Toss to the left to
get a Shine Sprite. Then move all the way next to the waterfall. Ride Yoshi across the river, and then throw Bobbery atop the cliff to hit the
switch and unlock the door. Enter the door. Sure is nice how Bobbery is actually blowing himself up just for Mario. They sure have bonded with
their nice 'staches.

Here, Ground Pound/Spin Jump to unearth another Star Piece. Then go right until you reach a river. Ride Yoshi across the river. Then go down the
stairs and into the next area.

Stand on the floating crate in the water and hold Koops' to the left with his Shell Toss, then move over to the platform north of the crate, and
then release Koops and go up. Hop to the right, and then grab the Grotto Key(Good thing there isn't anything to unlock outside the cave with a
key, or they'd call the key you get, uh, Key Key. Weird.). To get the Shine Sprite, jump on top of the crate (not the one in the water) that is
serving as a counterweight for the platform you were standing on earlier. There should also be a Star Piece hidden somewhere in the pile of
barrels. Head back to the last room you encountered with a Save Block.

Go to the southeast corner of that room, and unlock the door with your Grotto Key(Key Key! Funny.). Enter the next room, and Ground/Pound near
the center of the room to unearth another Star Piece. Enter the next area, and use Koops' Shell Toss to the right to get a Shine Sprite. Roll
yourself into a tube, and roll under the spikes that protrude from the holes in the background of the rock. Make sure that you notice when the
lowest spikes block your path as a tube. So, watch out for those, and at those places, you're going to have to wait until they recede back into
the wall. Make it through all the way to the left.

In the next area, you should see a Shine Sprite. Use your hammer under the Shine Sprite to find a block. Jump on top, and then jump up to get
the Shine Sprite. Ok, this is the last time I'm revealing a Badge/Shine Sprite/Star Piece in the guide. Check the sections of these items to find
the ones in the next Chapters. Jump across to the left over the barrels, and when you get to the broken bridge, use Koops' Shell Toss or Bobbery's
Bomb to fire at an enemy on the other side. Then ride Yoshi across the gap (the reason I had you take the enemy out is because they might get you
in the middle of the gap, then when the battle finishes, you'll fall into the water), and then use Bobery's Bomb at the wooden boards on the left
wall. Enter the next room or area, whatever.

Careful pally! More Bill Blasters are here to get ya! Like before, you can use Vivian's Veil. Duck and cover! Or fire away! Anyway, at the end,
attack and defeat the Bill Blasters. Enter the next room when you're done.

Here, go to the ledge at the end of the land, and ride Yoshi across to the wooden platform. Walk across the boards there to the left, and then go
into the sunken ship.

Talk to the black chest and Mario will tell him that he ain't gonna fall for his jokes ever again, and all he came for was the "curse" (Oohh, I'm
so scaaaaared...pathetic.). So, after talking with him, he'll say that the key is somewhere in the room, being held by an enemy. So, an Ember will
appear, and so attack it to get the key. Open the chest, and before the curse is over, he'll say,"Oh yeah, and thanks for letting me do my thing."

So, go back to the wooden platform, and press Y. You'll turn into a boat! Go to the other wooden platform by sailing your way to the southeast
corner of the room. Press Y next to the Boat platform (the wooden platform) to turn back to normal. Then head back all the way the storage room
where there was a Star Piece, Shine Sprite, and you used Koops' Shell Toss to hit a red switch. So, somewhere before getting there, there is a Boat
platform past the metal door you used Bobbery's Bomb to hit the switch and open this door. Go on the boat platform, and fold into a boat. Start your
first voyage aboard the S. S. Mario (literally Mario, he's the boat itself) by sailing over the edge of the waterfall. When you hit the bottom, sail
over to the west, and through the entrance in the southwest corner of the room.

Continue west through the room where the old Bill Blasters were. They shouldn't be there now though. Anyway, continue west.

Press Y next to the Boat platform and

44. Trouble Center/Solutions to Side Quests
---------------------------------------------------------------
The Trouble Center is a place that is on the east side of Rogueport, and it's somewhere where you can help someone with their
problem. Each and every time you solve a quest, you get a reward. Some rewards aren't as worth as the quest itself, while others
are over 40 coins. Here are some solutions to Side Quests:
Prolugue:

Garf: Need a key!
Location: On east side of Rogueport past the gate to the Robbos. At the locked door on the east.
Solution: Find the key at the Lovely Howz of Badges. To get here, go upstairs inside the inn, and then go to the door in the
southwest corner of the room. Walk left to get the key.
Reward: 20 coins

McGoomba: Safe delivery...
Location: Back alley on the right.
Solution: Bring the package he gives you to Goomfrey. Goomfrey is at the front of Merlon's place and Professor Frankly's place.
Reward: 20 coins

Arfur: Price adjustment.
Location: East side of Rogueport after the gate.
Solution: Check the Toad Bros. Bazaar for the prices of these items: Tasty Tonic, Fire Flower, and Sleepy Sheep. Prices: Tasty
Tonic: 3 coins Fire Flower: 10 coins Sleepy Sheep: 8 coins.
Reward: 20 coins

Goomther: Find this guy!
Location: In Rogueport Square in front of the entrance.
Solution: The guy is behind the wall before Merlon's place. To go behind, just walk into the middle of it. A blue Bandit will
be there. Talk to him and he'll run away. Talk to Goomther first, then go to Rogueport Harbor and you'll see him there. After
that, he'll bolt and head toward the back alley in town square.
Reward: 20 coins

48. Funny Parts/Bloopers
---------------------------------------------------------------
Ok, this is what I have so far for funny parts/bloopers.

Funny Part/Blooper #1: Prologue:
Goombella acts as if she has been brainwashed. She doesn't know who she is looking at. After Toadsworth comes in, Goombella
finally knows who she is looking at.
My comment of part/blooper: I feel that this is very sucky, and I really don't know why I put it in.
Rating: 3.5

Funny Part/Blooper #2: Chapter 1:
After (or before, I forgot) Koops joins your party, her girlfriend attacks her with her own Shell Toss and makes Mario and
Koops spin around like crazy.
My comment of part/blooper: To me, that was a little funny, but kind of weird.
Rating: 6.5

Funny Part/Blooper #3: Chapter 1:
When inside the castle, you meet Ms. Mowz. Ms. Mowz seems to like you, and so she kisses Mario and he goes "awawawawawaaaa!!!"
My comment of funny part/blooper: Unusual, very unusual.
Rating: 6.0

Funny Part/Blooper #4: Chapter 2:
You meet Ms. Mowz when she attacked an X-Naut. Flurrie feels jealous that Ms. Mowz is there. Ms. Mowz kisses Mario and again,
goes "awawawawaaaaa!!!" After, Flurrie feels jealous still.
My comment of funny part/blooper: The edition of Unusual Events #2. Includes free X-Naut zombie!
Rating: 5.0

Funny Part/Blooper #5: Chapter 2:
In one part where Punio talks to the Elder in the red cage, Mario might start to sleep because it is taking forever to finish
the conversation.
My comment of funny part/blooper: ...zzz...Huh...Huh, who, what?
Rating: 5.0

Funny Part/Blooper #6: Chapter 2's Bowser's Event:
It was really funny when Bowser mistook a life-sized poster of Princess Peach for her real self. The Koopa goes all,"No! Not my
life-sized poster of Princess Peach!" He takes it down and hurries back inside. Bowser has a little sweat mark on himself, and
he says, "Gah! Ugh! THAT WASN'T PRINCESS PEACH?!", says Bowser.
My comment of funny part/blooper: A mutated koopa named Bowser can't even recognize the difference between a poster and a real
person.
Rating: 6.0

Funny Part/Blooper #7: Chapter 3:
It's a bit weird how Rawk Hawk just killed the Dark Koopatrol in one hit. Just one jump...(touch)...death.
My comment of funny part/blooper: Not really great, but seriously, Rawk Hawk ain't that good. How can he kill him in one hit?
Rating: 6.7

Funny Part/Blooper #8: Chapter 3:
That guy one time in the minor league was saying funny stuff. "Be careful.""Ow, watch that leg of mine.""Mommy!"
My comment of funny part/blooper: What's up with all the injured Koopas?!?!
Rating: 9.5

Funny Part/Blooper #9: Chapter 3:
Weird how an egg could run away by itself. Haha.
My comment of funny part/blooper:
Rating: 9.0

Funny Part/Blooper #10: Chapter 3:
I hope Mario didn't get soggy when he went down the toilet. Yeah, pretty much.
My comment of funny part/blooper: Probably Mario is used to being flushed down toilets? I mean, he's a plumber, isn't he?
Rating: 8.5

49. Games at Pianta Parlor and What You Can Win
---------------------------------------------------------------
At Pianta Parlor(on the west side of town, in the second building to the right from the left), you can play games and trade
some Piantas in for prizes. The stuff you can do there is basically everything from an arcade room. To get more Piantas, you
can go over to the giant Pianta and buy more with your money. If your broke, you'll have to get more and come back. Also, you
need some special cards from quests to play the bottom 4 games. While you try to get those, the only game you can play are the
slot machines. Also, some prizes require the card for the games.

*****Slot Machines*****
At the slots(not Las Vegas inside casinos), you can place a Pianta in the machine, and then match up the pictures. Of course,
you get about only 3 Piantas when you line up the Pianta pictures. Get the others matched to get more Piantas.

*****Paper Game*****
To play this game, get the card from the quest of Pine T. Jr., called "Help my daddy!". Here, you race through a small obstacle
course, and then don't still be your normal self when the fan blows! What I mean is that be in Paper Mode when the fan blows, or
you'll be blown off! You must pay 10 Piantas to play. It's alot, but it's worth it because you get like a profit of Piantas.

*****Plane Game*****
To play this game, get the card from the quest of Koopook, called "Try to find me!". In this game, you fly as far as you can,
and collect mid-air Piantas while flying. Try to get the X2 bonus, and do your best to not get the negative distances. You must
pay 10 Piantas to play. It's all worth the game.

*****Tube Game*****
To play this game, get the card from the quest of Frankie, called "Important Thing". In this game, you roll as a tube through
an obstacle course. Watch out for the holes, the walls, and make sure you get through each obstacle. You must pay 10 Piantas
to play. It's mostly worth this game, you can get many Piantas here.

>>>>>>>>>>>>>
PRIZES
<<<<<<<<<<<<<
"Trading in Winnings" brings you to the prize list! Some prizes are only available after you get a card. The list is put in the
order of the cost of Piantas.

***Prize*** ***Piantas***
Cake Mix 6 Piantas
Super Shroom 10 Piantas
