Just talk to a sim in town square who has bought something from one of the stands, they will pt it down to talk to you, then click the item and pick it up: you can drink/eat it! Good if you need energy (coffee) but are low on pet points! Also works for stealing food you want from a sim in your house.

Milk
Tofu
Water
If you choose Tofu and Soy milk as the ingredients you can make Roast,Meatloaf and Carpaccio.
No meat What so ever
If you choose Tofu and Soy milk you can make meatloaf and roast and also Carpaccio
No meat whatsoever
I found that if you pick your food wisely you can fill your belly. Pick out the food with the most hunger such at Lamb,potatoes,broclli,and whole wheat flour, then prepare the food first, this combination usually have the option for preparing sliced roast, pick that one and then cook it. You'll get more out of your food if you prepare it first.

Here is a great way to make easy friends, instead of making friends with the people make friends with the dogs or cats by playing with them such at tug of war with the dogs and the dangle fish with the cats. The people take longer to become friends. This is great is your wanting to have a promotion when you come home from your job.
