How to Unlock All of the Characters and All of the Stages

I have compiled ALL of the ways to unlock a character/stage and all of them in one submission, so that they are not so scattered.

CHARACTERS

Jigglypuff

Successfully complete the game with any character under any difficulty setting, continues are allowed.

Alternatively, fight 50 multi-player battles.

Luigi

Complete the first stage of adventure mode with a time of that contains a 2 in it, preferably the minutes. Luigi will replace

Mario as your opponent to fight you along with Peach. Finish the Adventure run, and you will battle him.

Alternatively, play 800 versus mode battles. After the 800th battle, the winner of the battle will be challenged by Luigi. If you lose, the winner of the next versus battle will battle him.

Young Link

Finish Classic Mode 10 times, one of the times must be with Link and another must be Zelda.

Alternatively, complete Adventure Mode with Ganondorf (not too sure on this one).

Alternatively, play 500 versus matches, and the winner will be challenged. If you lose, the winner of the next versus battle will be challenged again.

Dr. Mario

Successfully complete the game with Mario.

Alternatively, play 100 versus matches, and the winner of the 100th match will be challenged. If you lose, the winner of the next battle will be challenged.

Ganondorf

Complete Event Match 29, Triforce Gathering, to unlock Ganondorf.

Alternatively, play 800 versus matches, the winner of the 800th match will be challenged by Ganondorf. If you lose, the winner of the next versus battle will be challenged again.

Pichu

Complete Event Match 37 to unlock Pichu.

Alternatively, play 200 versus matches, the winner of the 200th match will be challenged. If you lose, the winner of the next battle will be challenged.

Alternatively, complete Adventure Mode as Mewtwo (not so sure on this one either).

Marth

Successfully complete Classic Mode with all 14 original characters without continuing to unlock Marth.

Alternatively, play 400 versus matches, and then winner of the 400th versus match will be challenged. If you lose, the winner of the next battle will be challenged.

Roy

Successfully complete Classic Mode with Marth to unlock Roy.

Alternatively, play 900 versus matches, and the winner of the 900th versus match will be challenged. If you lose, the winner of the next battle will be challenged.

Falco

Complete 100 Man Melee with any character to unlock Falco.

Alternatively, play 300 versus matches, the winner will be challenged. If you lose, the winner of the next battle will be challenged.

Mewtwo

To Unlock Mewtwo, have 20 hours of gameplay in versus mode. 20 hours maybe split by more players. For example: 4 players playing, would only have to play 5 hours in order to unlock Mewtwo.

Alternatively, play 700 versus matches, the winner will be challenged. If you lose, the winner of the next battle will be challenged.

Mr. G&W

Complete Classic Mode with all of the characters.

Alternatively, play 1000 versus matches, the winner will be challenged. If you lose, the winner of the next battle will be challenged.

Alternatively, complete the Target Test stages of 24 characters (all of them but GW) to unlock Mr. Game and Watch.

Complete over 50 versus matches.

Complete over 100 versus matches.

Big Blue

Complete over 150 versus matches.

Poke Floats

Complete over 200 versus matches.

Win a Birdo trophy. You can use the Lottery to get this.

Successfully complete the game as Mr. Game & Watch in classic or all-star mode

Without losing a life.

Successfully complete the game in All-Star mode.

Final Destination

Successfully complete event mode #51.

Classic Dreamland

Successfully complete the game in Break The Targets mode with all characters.

Classic Yoshi's Island

Hit over 1300 feet in home run contest mode.

Classic Kongo Jungle

Successfully complete the game in 15 Minute Melee mode.
