Why do you fight King/Captain Blue at the end if you're rescuing his daughter?

Captain Blue has turned evil. If he kills Silvia, her life will give him enough power for him to break free into the real world, where his evil powers would mean something. How any of this makes sense, I have no idea.

Captain Blue was turned evil. He wants to rule the world but to do that he has to get out of movieland and into the real world. Killing Silvia will let him go through to the real world
