Question for The Sims Bustin Out

I need to know how to solve the ghost problem that the goths are having. Yes I go to their house and then just keep playing the synthesizer but it doesn't help much...... And how do you find someone interested in Chase's secret formula? I go to shiny things lab and I am sure that they are interested but nothing happens and I stay there for a whole day!!!

You need to finish the '$1000 worth of improvements' goal
Before you can even think about completing this one! Next, take the S�ance out
And put it back where it used to be (or find a new home for it. Don't forget a
Chair)! This can only be done at night so wait until nightfall and then
'contact spirits' with the option on the s�ance. Do this a few times and the
Completion box will pop up!
Prize: Anatomical Skeleton Display (Decoration)

First, you must become friends with Chase to think about doing
This goal to get his social (tell Secrets). Head over to the Shiny things labs
(if you have it unlocked) and find either Vaughn or Makino and use the (tell
Secrets) interaction on them. IT will then say you have completed the goal!
Prize: Boomtown Redwood Table
Unlock: Goth Manor - Visit
