I'm living at the octogon but I can't get promoted why? My sim been going to work green for ages now

Click left and look at your stats. Look for a symbol that looks like a blue smiley face. That is the symbol that shows how many friends you need to get promoted. If that doesn't help see if you need any other skills (the bar will have flashing yellow things over the green ones).

Maybe it's because your sim doesn't have enough friends or doesn't have all the skills it needs!

Are you at the right place to get promoted I didn't get promoted either beacuse I was not at the right place to get promoted check if you are in the right if you aren't you won't get a promotion and that is my answer.
