Question for The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess

I got this game yesterday and I'm already having trouble with it. I can't seem to figure out how to fish. I'm assuming I need bait, but I don't know where to get an empty bottle to put the bee larva in. Furthermore, I don't know how or where to get the bee larva. I've been following the directions of holding "c" stick down when a get a bite on my line, but it won't pull anything up. I've tried everything I can think of. Please help.

Ok. You don't need bait. You need to wait for the line to go down and then pull up and hold up until the fish comes out. You need to do this twice.

I got stuck on this part too. Bait can be helpful, but it's not expedient for what we're doing now (in fact, you can't yet get any). Go to the dock by which the cat is standing (she will run from you) and toss your hook in. Wait for a fish to grab it (the bobber will go down), and THEN pull on your C stick. You'll pull up a fish after holding down for a while. Repeat, and the cat will snatch your fish and take it to the shop. Follow her, and you'll find the shopkeeper is so happy to have her cat back, she'll give you an empty bottle--only it's half full of milk. Drink the milk at your leisure, and voila! Empty bottle to put a worm in, bee larvae, potions, water, Deku Princesses... No wait, that's way back in Majora's Mask, innit?

You can do it.
