Stuck versing mini boss in Goron mines
You know the mini boss you have to face in order to get the Hero's Bow? All the walk throughs tell me to strike the belly and then grab him and throw him into the lava. I thought it might be a glitch for everyone but apparently not. The instruction "Press A Grab" only appears infrequently and when it does and I press A, nothing happens and I get injured when the boss spins in a ball and strikes me. It's impossible to throw him off into the lava. It means I'm still stuck. Any solutions? I'm desperate

You want him to spin and come at you so you can catch him and toss him off the platform. It's just like when you stopped the gorons on the way to the mines. Just be sure to have your metal boots on. You can do it...

You have to put on the metal boots and before he hits you hit him 3 or 4 times to make him curl up. When he curls up right before he hits you (not exactly when it tells you to.) press a to throw him off.

Ok all you have to do
Step 1
run within sword swiping range and block his attack when he raises both his arms target and attack his stomack three times and then finish with a spin attack or just slash till he curles into a ball.
Step 2
Hurry and put your iron boots on and and he'll try to run right over you just
Face oppasite of the edge and when he come at you just wait and untill the
A button shows and press it and you'll grab him and toss him in the lava
Just take your time and don't forget the iron bootsand make sure your pretty close to the edge or he wont go over into the lava
Step 3
Repeat steps 1 and 2 untill you beat him

You need Iron Boots to grab him and then you need to throw him some how

Ok I recently put an answer but here is a better Version
It's all about timing, when he Gets ready to attack hit him with your sword then he should start rolling, when he does equip the iron boots and hold A before he gets to you, the should grab him and throw him off into the lava (if your are close enough to the ledge that is)
After a few times he'll give up and let you through

All you need to do is slash him 4 times and he will curl in to a ball and then press a and throw him into the lava

I had that same problem, and what I was doing wrong was just pushing A instead of holding it.

To defeat him, slash the miniboss 4 times or preform a spin-attack and the large goron will roll up into a ball. Make sure you have the iron boots on. Then, as he comes towards you, press a and hold it. I had the same problem as you (I couldn't grab him) but if you hold a then you will grab and toss the boss. To get him into the lava, you have to be standing near the edge. (I recommend wearing the iron boots the whole time.) After tossing the goron in the lava 3 times, he will be defeated and you will get your prize.
