How do you go up to Valoo if the stairs fell off?

Question for The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker
How do you go up to Valoo if the stairs fell off? After I saved I lost the stairs completely so I have no idea how to get back.

You have to go all the way up to the top and rescue Medli, then she will give you the grappling hook and you will follow her back. Hope this helps!

He's saying the stairs to get to Medli fell of when walking up them. How is he supposed to get up there, if he can't get up there? There are no more stairs. Even with the grapling hook, you can't get there. All you can do is go down to a room by swinging and entering dungeon with a bridge and killing both monsters in the pot and on the bridge to reveal a treasure chest. There's a key inside. There's another room below the ladder and I think it goes to a suspended platform. Maybe you get to it by those "Magic" pots. Perhaps there is a room that the key unlocks to get where you need to go.... I just thought of that..
