Question for Super Smash Bros. Melee

How the heck do you do the bat drop thing? Everytime I shoot the bat down or drop it on the sandbag, it goes flying and gives me like 2 feet.
Please answer soon.
Thank-you

Zelda Fan answered:

Use Yoshi, and jump in the air and to down A and you will kick the sand bag like 7 times, and then pick up the home run bat and hit it the sand bag and watch it fly.

Archimonde answered:

Well you asked a very general question: Theres a lot of different bat drop combos; double jump fast fall | double jump bat drop | single jump | single jump fast fall | etc. ..
If you're new to the bat drop combos, you need to start off with someone that has an easy to do bat drop combo. I would recommend C falcon. I also suggest you do double jump bat drop combos instead of the single jumps.Heres how (and more)

Dash to the left and grab the bat.
Dash back to the bag and do smash up+a
A.s.a.p jump then at the peak of the jump you drop the bat with z, immediately jump again then at the peak of your second jump, tilt the control stick down a little, then do a full smash Down + A attack. You should hit the bag less than a second after the bat hits it so the sandbag doesnt move. Now (tricky part)
When you dropped the bat, it hit the sandbag then it bounced back up again.
After your down a attack, you land. (If you want to test your skills, press L when you land to do an L cancel which reduces your lag time.) Immediatley jump and press Z in midair to catch the bat which should be at your waist or shoulder height. Jump again and press z before the peak of the jump to drop the bat. Now repeat your fast fall down+a. At beginner level, you probably wont be able to do more than 3 bat drop combos, but in time you can do as many as 8 (maybe 9) with C falcon. Distance can be a max of 6,000 I think.

Wow Zelda Fan, that question does not relate to the topic. Do YOU read the question even, or just put down that Yoshi can do Down A (which is really pathetic) on everysingle super smasn question there is? Do not post answers that have nothing to do with the question.

Please check 'bogus' for Zelda Fan's Answer Above.

sheiny answered:

There's nothing wrong with Zelda Fan's answer, it just doesn't answer the question directly - it gives an alternative solution.
Why don't you just answer a question and move on instead of wasting time assessing other answers - that's what verifying and rating answers are for!

sheiny answered:

RE: Verifying is just a pointless number that has no meaning. When rated by just one user, that shows. . . Nothing! A comment is more helpful.

Sure it does - 0's bad, 10's good - just try and keep the comments friendly!

Archimonde answered:

I'll repeat this one more time, verifying is pointless and useless and has NO meaning. You just go into a channel and spam 10 for all of them, even if some are plain $h!T.
Maybe if 250 people voted 10.0 on one answer, I'd say that answer was good.
