Can someone tell me a strategy/best character to beat events #33 / 36 ..

There is no "best character". Use who you find the best character to use and keep trying. Although on Event 50 use Ganondorf and use his A^ smash attacks on both hands. Go for the Crazy (left) Hand first.

Event Match #33: Lethal Marathon as Captain Falcon - practice and keep trying.
Event Match #36: Space Travelers as Ness - practice, practice, practice.
Event Match #42: Trouble King 2 as Luigi - lure Bowser to the edges.
Event Match #47: Trophy Tussle 3 as whoever you're the best with - use the edges to KO.
Event Match #48: Pikachu and Pichu as whoever you're the best with - try not to waste your time on Pikachu.
Event Match #49: All-Star Match Deluxe as whoever you're the best with - practice, train, then fight.
Event Match #50: Final Destination Match as Ganondorf - it really helps if you know their attack patterns - they have signals that identify which attack they're going to use next - so if you know them, you can dodge them; use Ganondorf's up+A Smash Move to deal up to 50% damage and focus on one Hand at a time - once you get rid of one, it's easy to beat the other.
Event Match #51: The Showdown - GOOD LUCK!!!!!!

In match number fifty use mewtwo jump and z he will start zapping the hands!
