Question for Super Smash Bros. Melee

Everybody I meed a simple ansewer.Is the Sonic Rumor true?

I think it is because I had a friend who just completed some battle and out of nowhere there's hidden character even though he had all of them.The challenger was sonic and we got him.

After we tried him on all 1-P mode and Tails appeaes and we took him too. So after we tried a team battle with sonic and tails.And then comes knuckles so we beat him.

But the point is we got thrree extra character.Oh and can someone tell me how to get Sonic please.

P.S.:When he met sonic he had no AR and his game was new but he had data.

HELP ME!!!!!!!!!!

Now, for the last time there is no Sonic or Tail, no Buffy, no Spongebob, no Benniebabies and no Sonic....nothing!
