Question for Super Smash Bros. Melee
This is so sad,
I can't beat the captain falcon race. Me, an experienced player, can't beat the race. I must be loosing my touch. Is it normal for no one to be able to beat the race? Someone help me.

This one is fairly easy if you can get your timing right with the jumps. Start running immediately (obviously) to the farthest platform that you can before the racers come by again. I can usually make it to the small one after the racetrack changes levels (the 4th platform if you're counting). Wait for the racers to go by again, then race for the part of the track that you have to jump on a platform (not a raised one) where there is a gap in the track. I beat the level by hanging on the edge of the track just past this jump. The racers will go past right above you. From there, you just need to make sure that you make the jumps and you should be able to make it to the finish just before the time runs out. I got tagged by the racers as I finished, but it didn't matter b/c they pushed me past the finish line. Good Luck!

So this one is all about practice and timing (at least it was for me). Make sure that you are running throughout the whole level. Go as far as you can when the race starts, I can usually make it to the 4th platform.
This is the small one after the track drops down a level. Once the racers have gone by, run to the spot on the track where there is a gap with a platform (not raised) that you have to jump on. Instead of trying to keep running to the next safe spot (cuz you will die), I hang off of the ledge of the track.
The racers will pass right over you and you can continue on. You should try to finish the race after they go by you the second time or you will run out of time. I got nailed by the cars/ships when I beat it, but it didn't matter since they pushed me past the finish line.

I can beat the race try using Link,Peach,Young Link,Kirby,or DK they should be able to beat it easily.

Use my tri8ck and use his three jumps as soon as the F-Zero ships come into view. When you land the F-Zero ships should have passed on. Run your fastest at all times and when you begin to jump you should go foreward too. This is a tricky event.

That IS sad. My preferable characters are Fox, Captain Falcon, Jigglypuff, and Yoshi. 1.Fox is fast
2.Captain Falcon is fast
3.Jigglypuff and Yoshi can use spin-dash like moves. Jigglypuff uses Rollout, and Yoshi uses that egg-rolly thingy-ma-bobber.
