Hey, does anyone know what Mew actually does. I have used him and all he does is glow and fly away.

Mew does what you have seen, it just flies away. At least in battle. You also will get a few extra points after battle but not many.

Mew is only useful in the single player mission type things
But if you do get it you will get a Mew trophy =)

Mew doesn't do anything, he doesn't attack the opponents for you, he just flies away like Celebi does.
You do get Mew Catcher - 10,000 points at the end of the match though, Celebi Catcher is 8,000 points.
