Question for Super Smash Bros. Melee

I was wondering,how to get game and watch.I've beaten the game on Adventure and Classic Mode with all 24 characters,still no Mr.Game&Watch.

How do you get them and I was also wondering how you get past Event Match 39.

I've beaten all of the Event Matches so far,but I can't get past level 39 can anyone answer these 2 questions?
