All star mode is where you have to beat every character in the game and you only have three heart containers.
To get it you have to unlock all the characters

To get All Star Mode - you need to unlock all of the 25 characters...
If you need help with that - post another indicating who you have...
All Star Mode is cool - what happens in this mode is you fight character after character - one after another - eliminating them all. After a few battles - you'll fight 2 characters at once - then later - you'll fight 3 at once. In the last battle - you'll fight 25 Mr. Game & Watch's. In this mode - you're given only one life and throughout each battle - the damage that you take accumulates and you take it to the next match.
Between each battle are 3 Heart Containers that you can use at anytime to replenish your health. After each match there may be a Trophy to pick up and once you beat All Star Mode with a character you'll get their Smash Trophy!

It's kind of like a journey where you fight all 25 characters in the game (including the character you are) and you unlock it by unlocking all characters.

All-star mode is a series of battles that puts you against all of the characters and eventually at the end a whole lot of Mr. game and watches.
It is really fun and you earn special trophies for beating it.
All-star mode: unlock all characters you can without an AR or gameshark.

Actually to unlock All-Star mode you have to unlock Dr.Mario, Luigi, Ganondorf, Young Link, Falco, Pichu, Jigglypuff, Mewtwo, Mr.Gameandwatch, Marth and Roy.
After you unlock thes characters you have to play Classic and Adventure mode and get their trophies in these modes.
All 25 characters have 2 of their own trophies.

What is All-Star mode? It's when you can play as any character (such as Link or Mario) and you have to beat every character one, two, or three at a time.
How do you get it? Easy.
Beat Classic/Adventure mode with every last character (Link, Mario, Pikachu, Ganondorf, Luigi, Mewtwo, etc.).
It will appear right under Adventure mode whence you achieve it.

All star mode is when you have to beat everybody with only three heart containers and your percentage stays the same.
