You have to kill both Nanas from the Ice Climber groups (Nana's the pink one).

You only have 1 minute and you can't kill the other partners (the blue ones).

Attack them to separate the groups, then grab and throw a Nana around - try and get her to the far left or far right side of the screen and throw her out!

Then do the same for the other Nana.

Use a smash attack to one of the groups. Then as they separate for a few seconds smash the pink one as far away from the blue as possible then kill it. Repeat.

Took me a while to kill beat that one, too. Just attack the second one (I think it's the pink one...). If you KO the leader (blue?), then you lose that event and you must start over. I would advise either:

A) Use your best character and when the time is right, use a powerful smash attack to seperate the Climbers, or

B) Train against a pair of Ice Climbers in Training Mode that can only Jump.
