On the level where you get the chopper into the bath how do you get him in the bath I'm confused.

The easiest way to get him in the pool is to wait somewhere and watch the chain chomp run around. When he is close to the pool, run to him and water him down, then pull him inside the pool area, and then you are done.

Right, what Uxie3 said is the best way - wait by the pool thing at the back of Pianta Village and when the Chain Chomp comes around, spray him down and pull him into his bath!
