Question for Super Mario Sunshine

Behind the shine sprit tower in the harbor, there is a gate on the side of the mountain, how do I open it and what happens when I do?

That is the entrance to the last level where you face bowser. You have to beat episode seven on each level. The ones where you chase shadow mario.

THANK YOU!!! I am on the level on top of the shine tower, (every other level is done) and I am trying to beat that episode were you have to clean up the lava, but that really helps thanks a million! =)

Once you beat Episode 7 in every Level - the one where you face Shadow Mario - Delfino Plaza will be flooded and you'll be able to swim over and enter that gate into Corona Mountain. Once you make it through Corona Mountain, you'll face the end Boss...
