Question for Super Mario Sunshine

Even though I have acquired both the turbo and rocket nozzels in Delfino Plaza and have more than 50 shines in the levels, the boxes are still holograms.

I have no idea what I did wrong.

I cannot finish the Gooper Blooper Returns episode of the Ricco Harbor with out the rocket nozzel.

If anyone has any idea what I did wrong please reply.

You didn't do anything wrong...
You just need to unlock the Nozzles in each level

In Episode 5 of Ricco Harbour: Gooper Blooper Returns you should be able to find a Red Box on top of the buildings...
Good Luck ;)

Are you sure it was Delfina Plaza that you got the special nozzles? It should be fine if it was Delfino Plaza. There is also a rocket nozzle somewhere on the cranes in Ricco Harbour.

Hazza Spazza answered:

First you must beat Episode 4 of Pinna Park. Then when you return to Delfino Plaza, you will have to chase Shadow Mario. When you've squirted him enough times, you will get Yoshi. Then save and restart the game.

You will have to chase Shadow Mario again, but when you beat him this time, you get the Turbo Nozzle. Save and restart the game again, and you will have to beat Mario for a third time, and this time you get the Rocket Nozzle.

luiginumberone answered:

There are actually two other ways to get to Glooper Blooper that don't require the Rocket Nozzle.

A: You can bounce off the fruit vat's nozzle (the top of the big things near where you fought Glooper Blooper the first time) and hover as needed over to Glooper Blooper.

B: Work you way to the platform in front of the yellow submarine. Talk to the Pianta and he will through you to Glooper Blooper.

To get the Rocket Nozzle you have to have 30 Shine Sprites and the Turbo Nozzle. To get the Turbo Nozzle, make sure you have met Yoshi.

To get Yoshi, beat Episode 4 in Pinna Park.
Make sure you were actually in Delfino Plaza when you got the nozzles. Did you chase Shadow Mario and spray him for both?

If you didn't, then you won't have the nozzles unlocked.

Mastergamer123t answered:

Just get more shine sprites, and it will appear by it's self.
