For the first time you play as sergeant byrd to get a light gem what is the easiest way to do it. I have done it so many times but I just can't seem to get everything on time

Try todo the thingsone at a time. The big enemies are on the inside and outside of the walls so they can be found easily. The birds are pretty easy except that some don't have a fixed course from what I have seen.
