Question for Sonic Adventure 2 Battle

I'm gonna get this game soon and I saw something on the internet saying you get the chao garden by finding some kind of key or something but they never said where the key was or what level it was in. If this is true do you have to get a key for every character so everyone can come in the garden? Please respond.

You find the key in a blue box with a Chao face on it in every level. You have to find the key once for the character to come in. Ex. If i found the key with Tails, I could go into the Chao garden with Tails. You have to find the key once for each character. They're pretty easy to find. Usually there's more than one blue chao box in each level, too. Sometimes they're obvious.

Well if one person finds the key you can enter it any time if you beat a level and the key will be in any level and find a box with a chao's face on it then break it.
