Question for Sonic Adventure 2 Battle

I have an Action Replay and I have some cheats for chaos,tails,amy,and omochao and my question is how do you know which chao it will be and which garden and sometimes it doesn't even please help me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I had an action replay, but not one for the Gamecube. If I remember this correctly. Well first of all, you need to read the instructions. Second of all and most importantly, no one, not even shiny, can help you if you don't explain which cheat it is!! >=(

Besides that, I do believe it all has to do with some kind of set constants and variables when it comes to cheats. Since a garden is a virtual landmass, there may be no set chao that is affected by the cheats you use. It could also effect all of them, or one of them. But if it effects one of them, then you probably have to have the chao in a specific area, or use a certain order of button presses and D-pad movements while holding the chao that you wanted to effect, or character, etc.

All in all, it's difficult telling how to use a cheat you haven't asked help for...Good luck. I tried to explain to the best of my ability how a cheat can work through a game with nearly infinite situations w/ chao and the virtual landmasses that the chao can sit on. My best bet would be you'd have to be holding the chao or item and then use a certain order of buttons to transform it or something...
