Question for Prince of Persia Sands of Time

Help I got stuck at about 72% into the game i'm in the observertory, I now what to do and how to do it but I don't have much health left and theres a fall that does some damage which is to much for me to survive is the any why to get to water or to complete the jump without taking damage, i've gone back to look for water but it's on the other side for a door that you can't get past. Please help
