Question for Pokemon XD: Gale of Darkness

Plez help I'm stuck on a mission where you have to find daton I think thats his name the guy who sits on his computer with blue hair on the HQ lab.

You find him in a lab somewhere I think

Go outside, down the steps and he's on the path on the right. Krane will come along and tell you to go to Pyrite.
