Let's pretend I went and talked to the guy at Outskirt Stand who supposedly has a Shadow Togepi for free. Except I didn't know he had this free Shadow Pokemon. So I went and conquered the game. I now have 81 Shadow Pokemon Snagged and Purified. Is the 82nd one this illeged Togepi? Can I still get it, even after completing the game so far?
Also, do I have to do Orre Colosseum, or is it just a cool attraction?

Yep, it's always there. You can keep it (and evolve it into a Togetic with friendship) or trade for an elekid with the elemental punches. Cool.
It depends. There's a quest that you can only do after you beat Orre colosseum (first round) but no if you only want to do story mode. It's a good way to test your battling skills- how well can your combos work?
