Trade from Red, Blue or Yellow?

Is it possible to transfer Pokemon to XD from Pokemon Red, Blue or Yellow Versions?

Red blue and Yellow are Gameboy games and are not compatible with the Gc Gba trade cable though I wish those games were compatible
