This is a bit out of my gameing area but I have played it before. Ok to use your gameboy advance Pokemon you must have a gameboy advance to gamecube wire. They are verry cheap at gamestop.Then from the main menu you go to colosseum battle then to gang battle from their you can link up your gameboy.After you beate the game you can also trade in phenac city.

You will have to complete the game and then go to the Pokemon Center on the second floor where you can trade with Ruby and Sapphire (Purified Pokemon only)
