All right I'm at the point where you have to got to realgam tower and beat that guy with the metagross and tyranitar and I keep losing what combination of Pokemon would work I'm completely lost/ thanks to whoever answers.

There is no special combination of Pokemon. Just level them up and keep your two starter pokemon.
Keep your Pokemon Level 56 or above and try hit their weaknesses.
