How do you geta entei ive tried and tried is there a way to purify pokemon before you beat him?

To make it easier to catch Entei, first, kill all his other Pokemons, and then weaken his Entei. Either put it to sleep, or paralyse it. then, use an ultraball/timerball/greatball. (I caught it with a Great Ball).
Sorry, but you can't purify Shadow Ppokemons yet, unless you unlocked Agatevillage, but I bet you can't do that.
