I have heard Jirachi lays an egg every time it goes into battle.Is this true? Also,how do you get Ho-Oh ? Is it story mode Mt. Battle or the other one?

No, jurachi does not.
You have to do it in story mode.
Note:you have to use your colosseum Pokemon not ruby or saphire.
No, Jirachi wont lay any eggs in battle. To get Ho-oh, get all shadow Pokemon and purifiy them all, and then beat the Mt. Battle's 100 trianers to get Ho-oh.
