Question for Pokemon Colosseum

I downloaded a walkthrough and that helped a LOT as far as how do I do this and that.

Yeah, it's kind of like cheating, but I'm old.

I have three questions you guys can probably help me with:

1) Before I started reading up on this game, I used the Time Flute to purify Entei and one other one.

But now I read in some places that if you use the Time Flute you DON'T get Ho-oh. Does anyone know for sure?

2) We (me and my kids) definitely fainted some of the shadow pokemon when we were first starting. Do I get to see them ALL again in the Snagem Hideout, so I can still get Ho-oh?

3) OK, I'm TRYING to catch Tyranitar without using the MasterBall. We've tried like 10-12 times.

Whenever he kills himself, we just reset the game so we can try again.

We trained up our Jumpluff to put him to sleep, but Jumpluff's sleep attack doesn't work on Tyranitar. So we trained up our Stantler and use him now.

So I've had that Tyranitar down to one health and sound asleep and STILL can't catch him no matter how many UltraBalls and Timer Balls we throw at him!

Is there ANY way???

OK, some hints:
-- to get lots of money FAST, train up your Pokemon, then battle at Phenac stadium. Just as good money as at Pyrite or the Under, but faster battles because the trainers are "Easy."

-- Save EVERY CHANCE YOU GET. Then, if you faint a shadow pokemon, just hit Reset on the Game Cube and start from the last place you saved.
