On chapter 6 were is the gold ring ,the shell earings,and the ghost in room 4?

The ghost in room 4 baffled me for a long time; go in the room with Vivian as your partner, and vanish (X) into the floor; the ghost will appear. Pop up, talk to him, get his diary & he'll be happy & give back the blanket.
The ring & earrings are part of another mystery (Hint- use Vivian again)
